I had a chance to try Nordy's as I was staying at a hotel nearby. I went here as they stayed open late and have a section just for to-go orders. I ordered the Brisket Plate as it offered both fatty and lean brisket, with two sides and a corbread muffin. The meal also came with samples of three of their BBQ sauces. For my sides I choose the baked beans and the mac & cheese. The brisket was sliced thin but it wasnt dry. It was tender and had a nice smoke flavor. The baked beans were great. They had good texture as there was a variety of beans used and they had a nice hint of sweetness. As for the mac & cheese, I would say it wasnt my favorite, but the noodles were perfectly cooked. Enjoyed our visit to Nordy's Restaurant for lunch and ended up getting served it at a party later that night. Both meals were yummy. Luckily slightly different things were ordered each time. The restaurant and parking lot were busy. It is casual and popular. The wait was quite long so we ended up sitting in the bar. Our young server was very good and friendly. Nordy's in the bar was loud and bustling as you'd imagine but a fun atmosphere for lunch. We enjoyed our meals & drinks. The coleslaw with tiny noodles in it , aka as pasta slaw, was the bomb! I could have eaten more of that. The Mac & cheese was good. The corn muffin was delish. The grilled chicken salad was so tasty as was the pulled pork. I tried multiple table-side bbq sauces on the chicken and enjoyed them all except I didn't try the jalapeño one. Also, the beans are so flavorful. Really can't go wrong with the bbq here. Nordy's never misses. We've been coming here as a family for a while now and it's consistently good every single time. The food, the service, all of it. That kind of reliability is hard to find. We usually get the feast to share, and it never disappoints. Plenty of food, great variety, and everything comes out the way it should. The staff is always on point too, attentive without being in your face about it. And the banana pudding. Do not sleep on the banana pudding. It's the perfect way to end the meal and my family goes after it every time. If you're looking for solid BBQ with good service and zero surprises, Nordy's is the move. Ribs were cooked perfectly selected okra, pasta, coleslaw, and beans as a sides. The BBQ is wonderful. The pasta coleslaw is creatively prepared with the addition of pasta, the dressing is classic. Food was excellent. Service was awesome our server was welcoming and attentive. We got the family meal for two and it was more than the two of us could enjoy - at a reasonable price. (No complaints!) Visiting a friend that lives in a nearby town, decided on bbq. When we first arrived, the parking lot was packed and there were a few groups waiting outside. My friend and I were worried about the wait, but we went in and would be willing to sit on the bar area if is was faster. To our surprise, we were able to be seated at a bar top right away. We were greeted by a friendly server and he was very enthusiastic as well. It was a good experience overall. The food was delicious and a variety of sauces to try. Would recommend this spot if you're in the area and there were plenty of TVs in the bar area as well. read more

We don't have many good BBQ restaurants in Colorado. There are a few. Nordy's is closer to a commercial, Dave's style place but they do a good job. It's always busy in the evening so make reservations if you can. Parking lot is a joke. But the food is pretty good and in line with other places price wise. Get the brisket salad. Whenever we are in Loveland, this is our go to spot. Their food is amazing. Hubby and I share the bbq rib platter with two sides. It is finger licking good. We stay at the Holiday Inn Express and walk down. Clean inside and out, friendly staff. We were taking care of by Spencer and Megan. It was great seeing you both. This place is an all time favorite! If you are in for a challenge, they have a killer BBQ buffet at a great price of about $20 range. We were promptly seated, drink orders taken and off to the chow line! I definitely made my attempt to eat $20 worth on plate one and I have no ragrets Pulled pork, brisket, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans and finish it all with an amazing cobbler. Everything I've heard about this place is true. The food, the staff, the building and location of this restaurant are first rate. We had an incredible server named Ty and should give classes on being a professional yet friendly waiter. The building and parking are clean and well maintained. Even the restroom was tidy and clean. The food was amazing, fresh and hot. I had the fried catfish that I absolutely enjoyed. The cajun dip it's served with is mouth watering. The waffle fries and curb fritters were also yummy. My friend had a Mac and cheese burger that looked scrumptious. Plus, it was huge. The banana pudding and the bread pudding were first rate as well. I can't say enough good things about this place. By far the best bbq establishment. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Our server Nick definitely took care of us. One incident one of my godsons doesn't like Pepsi products and that's all they carry. He put together a concoction that made the soda taste like Coke. It was a close proximity but A for the effort. Also one of the only places I'm aware of that provides 1000 island dressing. I also liked the western ambience they have. We're definitely making this a regular stop. read more

Came here for the first time and was pretty impressed. I know this is a BBQ place, but when I see a catfish sandwich on the menu I can't resist. The side I ordered was fried okra ( another one of my favorites). My girlfriend ordered the sausage plate. I had a few bites and it was delicious. The service was just ok. Our waitress was not overly friendly. There was just something about her. The restaurant was nice and clean. I still would go back and hopefully get a better server next time. read more

I've ordered Nordy's BBQ for takeout several times and it is always excellent. The staff are always very accommodating and the food is always fresh! I've only eaten inside a handful of times and my experience was great as well. I've read other reviews about the service not being that great but I have never experienced bad service. Our family had dinner at Nordy's last night before a show at the Blue FCU Arena. Because of the show, the restaurant was on a wait at 5 PM. Thankfully, I had joined the waitlist through Yelp. The hosts were friendly and quickly checked us in. The restaurant atmosphere is what one would expect for a bbq place. Big wooden tables and booths all around, country music, rolls of paper towels and bbq sauces on the table. Nick was our server, and he did a wonderful job. Even with how busy the restaurant was, he took the time to connect with us, make us laugh, was on top of drink/beer refills, and ensured we had everything we needed. He was training Kylie, and she was prompt and helpful as well. For food, we had the fried pickles, garden salad with vinaigrette, and the Feast for Two. We were able to switch out the chicken for pulled pork. The feast included brisket, pulled pork, 1/2 hot links and 1/3 smoked sausage, and ribs. We also had three sides and two cornbread muffins. We added a third for $1. For sides we chose the mac n cheese, green beans, and fried okra. Everything was really delicious except the green beans. They had no flavor at all. While it's not the best Texas bbq we've ever had, it was pretty delicious. We would definitely come back here when in town for another show. The service was attentive, and the portions are large. Good price point to portion. They give you plenty of wipes for your sauced up hands at the end of the meal. The barbecue sauces are going to be a little sticky from the previous people, so FYI. But it is fun to have a variety of barbecue sauces and your server will come around and put a little sample on a plate for you to dip your finger in and try so you can decide which of the many sauce options on your table you would like to eat. It's a very loud place with big barn like rooms, so there's no real noise mitigation. If you don't like loud places, I'd say avoid. If you don't care, then go for it. This so called BBQ establishment has taken the top spot for the worst food I've had in 70 years on this planet. Went there with my family for the lunch buffet. The selection of sides was far less than expected as well as watered down beans was a real disappointment. The meat was brisket, pulled pork, and sausage. Most peculiar was the lack of a smoke ring and gray colored brisket that was flavorless. To be honest the only thing that made it somewhat like Furrs Cafeteria was the tableside assortment of BBQ sauces. I strongly advise against dining here for anyone that appreciates good BBQ. read more
