    Spicy burger and fries
    Tommy V.

Stopped in at Broaddus Burger and ordered the Spicy Burger with fries. The burger came on a white bun with all the fixings (minus onion) and it was excellent, just the right amount of heat without being overpowering. The fries were crispy, well-seasoned, and a perfect side. The staff really stood out. The guy at the counter was attentive, friendly, and helped me make great choices. That kind of service makes a difference. The only downside is the interior, it looks a bit dated and could use some refreshing. Overall, the food and service more than made up for it and I will definitely be back.

When you want a really good burger and you don't wanna make it yourself.... It's Broaddus for us. There hasn't been a time that we didn't get delicious food. I always crave there homemade cheese sticks.

Medium-Rare Steak with Sides of Asparagus and Twice-Baked Potato

I can't speak to the burgers at Broaddus Burgers, but the Thursday night steak special with two sides is a winner, in my book. The Asparagus and Twice-Baked Potato were filling and complemented my gargantuan steak nicely. The steak itself was a perfect medium rare and flavored wonderfully. Honestly, it would be relatively easy for someone with a moderate appetite to make this into two meals. I would suggest this deal to anyone who appreciates a good steak.

"Absolutely and quint essentially the best burger in Lafayette Louisiana that I've ever tasted since the original version of southside, bakery burger produced by My Homeboy!, Mr. Roman Landry!" 11/09/2023

I found this gem while visiting Lafayette, La. Highly recommend the build your own burger, though the signature offerings are extensive. The spicy burger is wonderful and has just enough spice to tickle the tongue. Added an egg over easy, bacon, blue cheese, and a sweet bun and the effect was a truly memorable gastronomic experience. Loved the sweet potato fries too. The owner is very invested in the success of this business. He was working the register, acting as the bar tender, and took my order. I appreciate his patience and help during the ordering process. The menu is a lot to work through. I look forward to visiting again and sharing the experience with my family. Two thumbs up!!!

The service was a little slow but with limited staff, we understood. The ambience was underwhelming. The food was okay.

My friend and I both loved the grits, as it was hot, buttery, and laced with pieces of corn kernels. We also really enjoyed the fluffy biscuits, warm beignets, and sticky cinnamon rolls. Usually cinnamon rolls tend to be too dry but the one at Parish was super moist and smothered in that ooey gooey cream cheese icing. I also appreciate the option to customize and swipe out sausage meats and veggies. Case in point, I was able to get the eggs benedict with turkey sausage instead of ham. Even though there is a bit of a line at the door, the meals come out fast and hot once your order does get placed. The drinks were pretty standard but my friend really enjoyed his espresso martini and my Paloma mimosa was sweet and packed with flavor. All in all, I really enjoyed every dish and I can't wait to come back and try more things!

Once we finally found it, we were very happy both because - yay we found it - and it smelled so yummy inside. I love a breakfast place with a full bar too. Drinks before 10am, yes, please! So, we get in line to order our yummer biscuits. I like places that have counter type service where you pay for your food and sit. It can make it easier when you have a big group or in a hurry. I ordered the fried chicken hot honey biscuit, the Cameron! ahh hot honey! I would have ordered the crawfish one, because I so those coming out of the kitchen, and holy hell! It just wasn't crawfish season when I went, so noseys to ordering crawfish out of season. I also ordered alcohol, because why not. I got the most amazing Irish coffee! It the predecessor before all these martini espresso followers. I took a very messy and sticky bite of my hot honey chicken biscuit - which was huge by the way - and I was in bliss! I really liked everything about this place. And it was all so clean and the staff were friendly too. I will be back next time I am in town to try more of those biscuits and maybe another Irish coffee? :-)

The interior of this location was very nice and welcoming. There was a good mix of seating options that seemed accommodating for both larger groups and smaller parties. The music selection was also enjoyable and added positively to the overall atmosphere. I ordered the shrimp and andouille omelette. I will say the presentation was very stark and uninteresting. Just based on how it looked, I would not have expected much from the dish. While I cannot quite pinpoint how it could be improved visually, it simply came across as boring on the plate. That said, the omelette itself was better than expected once I started eating. The bites that included both shrimp and andouille sausage were the strongest and most flavorful parts of the dish. Overall, if I were judging strictly on appearance, my expectations would have been low. Taste wise, I would give the meal about a 6 out of 10. I did notice several other dishes coming out to nearby tables that looked more appealing, so while this order did not fully impress me, I would not rule out returning. Next time, I would likely try something different from the menu.

There's no host stand or clear seating system, so the entrance felt chaotic. We weren't sure what to do until a nice local told us to just grab a table. After sitting down, it took about 5 mins for a waitress to stop by with the menus. The menu includes both breakfast and lunch items, but the ordering process is confusing. We were told breakfast orders would be taken at the table and lunch needs to be ordered separately at the cafeteria style counter. My husband went to the counter to order lunch while I stayed behind, waiting for the server to return with drinks and take our breakfast order, she never did. The smothered pork dish looked worse than school cafeteria, and unfortunately tasted like it too. It was overly salty and the pork had a weird taste to it. Since we had already paid for the lunch item upfront and still hadn't been able to place breakfast order, we decided to cut our losses and went to another restaurant. Overall, wasted 35 mins and left frustrated and disappointed, definitely won't come back!

The main issue here is the overall service experience and the food quality. The interior is old school but immediately chaos; there is a Luby's style ready serve food line and tables as well for dine in. We didn't know but apparently you just find a table and sit down, we were standing around waiting to be seated for a bit. Apparently you order lunch plates at this hot food line and then order breakfast via your server at the table. This makes no sense. We waited 35 minutes for staff to take our breakfast order and beverages unsuccessfully, so I went up and ordered a lunch plate of smothered pork and just paid up front. The guy working the ready made food line was also pretty rude and didn't want to be there; great! It was definitely below Treebeard's level and was very salty and not very flavorful. The sauce that they poured on the rice was extremely salty as well. Meh food quality and the absolute chaos of the brunch dining experience made the brunch meal very unenjoyable for our group. We left afterwards and went to another restaurant to eat.
