We came in and went straight to the counter to order. We received great recommendations from the nice lady at the counter. We were given multiple options on breads for the bun (white, wheat, sweet, etc..) The orders came out fairly quick and oh my Texan heart. This is a cozy little burger spot that doesn't disappoint. I had the Impossible burger with grilled onions/mushrooms on a wheat bun, which was delicious!! My side of grilled veggies was delicious as well. Our waiter was such a great young man...just a delight..super helpful and attentive. Now, the interior may be a bit "dated" looking for some but I think it adds to the "Cajun" ambience, which is what I think they're going for. Overall, I had a good experience. Stopped in at Broaddus Burger and ordered the Spicy Burger with fries. The burger came on a white bun with all the fixings (minus onion) and it was excellent, just the right amount of heat without being overpowering. The fries were crispy, well-seasoned, and a perfect side. The staff really stood out. The guy at the counter was attentive, friendly, and helped me make great choices. That kind of service makes a difference. The only downside is the interior, it looks a bit dated and could use some refreshing. Came in town for an appointment for my daughter. After her appt. she got to choose the restaurant & wanted somewhere we had never been. She had a spicy cheese burger w/ Cajun mayo & Fries. I can't speak to the burgers at Broaddus Burgers, but the Thursday night steak special with two sides is a winner, in my book. The Asparagus and Twice-Baked Potato were filling and complemented my gargantuan steak nicely. The steak itself was a perfect medium rare and flavored wonderfully. Visiting Lafayette over Memorial weekend and this was one of the few things open; thank you. I came across some of my favorite restaurants "closed the whole weekend " ‍ Since Memorial Day, it was only natural to grab a chili dog and my goodness, I could easily eat a few of these a week. Really cool and different. Nice place with a ton of stuff to choose from. I went with the PBB peanut butter burger with sweet potato fries. They come with honey and cinnamon. The burger was really good but a little well-done for my taste. That was my fault though, I should've told him to keep it somewhere around medium. There was lots of peanut butter on the really tasty hamburger patty, and the bun was nice and fresh. The fries were cooked perfectly. I also had to try the spinach and feta grilled cheese because it sounded really cool. It was really good. I love going to local joints unfortunately this was a bit of a disappointment. We were so looking forward to a great burger. These turned out to be meh‍ Bacon cheeseburger- kid said is was just a burger, bland, and the bacon is very fatty, nothing real special. Fried cheese cheeseburger- mine tasted like a meatball yall! This was awesome, even without all the fixings! Cheeseburger the kid did not care for the "no taste" burger PBB-this has peanut butter but unfortunately it isn't crunchy but that's cool. I found this gem while visiting Lafayette, La. Highly recommend the build your own burger, though the signature offerings are extensive. The spicy burger is wonderful and has just enough spice to tickle the tongue. Added an egg over easy, bacon, blue cheese, and a sweet bun and the effect was a truly memorable gastronomic experience. Loved the sweet potato fries too. The owner is very invested in the success of this business. He was working the register, acting as the bar tender, and took my order. I appreciate his patience and help during the ordering process. The menu is a lot to work through. I look forward to visiting again and sharing the experience with my family. Was in town for a work trip and decided to try this place out after seeing the best burger in Lafayette sign. I will say it did not disappoint. The burger I had was really flavorful and my friend also enjoyed her turkey burger. The fries were some of the best fries I've ever had! They tasted similar to Rally's but were bigger and better. The guy at the register was really nice and did his best to help us decide what we wanted to get. The patty itself was well seasoned and I appreciate that because many places don't season the actually meat- only the outside when cooking. The fries were like rally's but 100 times better. It was very season and a healthy balance of crunchy and soft. The chipotle sauce and sweet chili were spot on. I prefer the sweet chili though. Service was nice. We stopped by Broaddus Burgers while we were out running errands. They have a very satisfactory burger! The beef is good quality, although I prefer my burgers with a bit more seasoning. My son loved the mac and cheese burger, and all of the ingredients in my mom's burger bowl looked fresh and appealing. The fries are well seasoned. Portions are good, but not so overwhelming that you feel like you need to be rolled out to your car after you eat! Prices are reasonable. I would have liked more grilled onions on my patty melt, but it was nicely toasted and not overly buttery/greasy. Bonus points for their offering Noni pepper jelly as a burger topping! I've only eaten in the restaurant once but the service was great! And their restaurant ambience is fun and cute.
