This was our first and last visit because we were all in agreement that this was the worst pizza we've ever had. We ordered the margarita pizza and two slices of pepperoni pizza. The crust was dense but thin, crispy like a tortilla chip, and there was absolutely no chew or char. The marinara sauce was flavorless. The only good part was the fresh basil and the mozzarella cheese, although it was sliced paper thin to the point it was see-through. The pepperoni pizza was basically their ready to serve cheese pizza just reheated with some pepperoni slices thrown on top. I ordered this pizza on a whim close to the end of my 3-week deployment to the Leesburg area. It came hot and delicious through Door Dash. My expected delivery time was about an hour - but it arrived within 35-40 minutes. The driver was polite, friendly, and courteous. The pizza was very, very hot thanks to the driver's delivery pouch. Meh. We always get a veggie when we're trying a pizza restaurant for the first time and this was one of the blandest. The tomato sauce had no seasoning and the abundant cheese was about flavorless. They ALMOST had a loyal customer. I recently moved to the area and in the midst of unpacking chaos I called New Yorker Pizza to take care of dinner. I ordered an eggplant parm entree, a chicken parm sub, and jalapeno poppers. Everything was good and the entree came with a decent amount of eggplant. A few days later I tried their delivery again. Although they're less than a mile up the road it took 75 minutes. Annoying but no biggie. When I opened the bag I realized they delivered an eggplant parmesan sub instead of the entree I ordered (and paid for). I called and explained the situation and was told that I would need to wait until the delivery guy returned to the store so they could "see the form." I questioned that this made no sense and the guy finally agreed that I had ordered the entree not the sub. Rather than apologizing and assuring me that the correct order would be promptly delivered, I was told I would need to return the sub in order to get my entree. Another 65 minutes later (while the other food turned completely cold), the entree was delivered and the sub was requested. Why do they need the sub? Do they reuse it? Sooo gross and very disappointing. I do NOT trust the food from this place! I won't be ordering from them again. read more
