So my mother-in-law was involved in an auto accident, and her car was towed here. My mother-in-law didn't get to choose where her car was towed, so it is completely valid to have it here since we didn't have a choice or control over it. We unfortunately didn't have the opportunity to request to just tow it back home. I understand storage/tow fees along with a $240 release fee by the Daly City Police Department. It was over $500 to release the car after 1 night/day of storage. Fine. That's a little steep than other places, but they can charge whatever they want since it's their business. What really ticks me off is they offered to "dispose" the car for over $400. So it costs us $400+ to dispose the car so they can strip it for parts and sell the scrap metal for 100% profit? Unbelievable. I sold my scrapped car when I was in an accident for $1200. Even places that low balled me offered $500 for my car and it was in way worse condition than my mother-in-law's. There was absolutely NO goddammn place that would charge me a "disposal fee" for junking my car. On top of that, they charged $250 just to tow it less than 5 miles from their location back to her house. Front desk and tow drivers were rude scumbags. The silver lining is two other workers were quite nice. They're taking advantage of an overwhelmed, older woman who almost died that doesn't speak English and isn't familiar with these kinds of situations. It's disgusting and predatory. I truly hope they go out of business or there is a shift in management and business practices. Some tips for people who are involved in auto accidents when their car is not drivable: 1. If it's possible (whether you're conscious or able to speak/interact), ask to tow it home. Don't deal with storage fees. You do need the police departments' permission. 2. If it's towed anywhere, whether it's to this hellhole or somewhere else, getting it out as quickly as possible will reduce storage fees. 3. For Daly City, it is a $240 release fee from the police department. It is not the business' fault for that. 4. 99/100 times, you can sell your car for scrap metal or spare parts (as long as you have the title). Always remember to take photos and check with the police department/insurance before you try to sell it in case they need it for evidence/inspection. Don't believe any "disposal fee" BS from any junkyard or towing company. read more

If I could give zero stars, I would. My 2017 BMW was impounded by police and taken to Broadmoor Towing on a day they were closed, which meant I couldn't retrieve my vehicle immediately. By the time they allowed pickup, four days of storage fees had racked up--totaling around $900. When I tried to pay with my credit card, they refused, insisting on cash only, despite California law requiring them to accept cards for vehicle release. I didn't have that much cash on hand, and they wouldn't work out any kind of payment plan. The staff was extremely rude, both on the phone and in person. I asked to retrieve my belongings from the car--including a laptop and other valuables--and was told the vehicle was locked. I returned with my key, thinking they'd escort me, but instead the staff took my key and suddenly claimed the car had already been unlocked, which made no sense. When I asked for the key back, they refused, saying I'd only get it once I paid the full fee. At that point, they threatened to involve the police, which--being on probation--was the last thing I needed. In the end, I lost my key and ultimately my entire vehicle. I didn't choose this company, and I would never recommend them to anyone. This place operates like a trap--predatory policies, misleading communication, and a total lack of compassion. I was involved in a car accident with my family last month that totaled my vehicle and this business was responsible for towing my car. Imagine how upset I was when I arrived at their impound the next day, three times to be exact, to find most of my possessions stolen including a cellphone, tire pump, and even minor items such as DIY bracelets and lighters. Service was unprofessional when I confronted their employee about the stolen items and the lady working at the entrance smelled like alcohol. They claimed not to have the missing cellphone even though it was clearly not in the vehicle and its location on FindMy was still at the impound. Broadmoor erroneously towed FOUR of the building owners car last night. When I called to try to figure out why the cars were being towed, on who's authority, since these were building owners, Gino was dismissive, said this wasn't his problem, it was between me and the security team that called them, Thomas and Daisy....WHoever Thomas & Daisy are, they are not with 3838 California street, where our cars were being pretty much stolen. We found out later, it was security from across the street that called in error. This was not their parking lot. They took 4 cars and when I explained to Gino I know these are building owner cars, he never paused for a moment, or asked the drivers to turn back until it was figured out. I told him I was calling the police, he said, good, he called them first. This was a gross display of authority misplaced. Had Gino stopped for one moment, he could have saved my physicians a tremendous amount of stress and time. My Dr had to drive to Daly City to retrieve a car erroneously taken. She was not given an apology. She was spoken to rudely by Gino. This tow company will not ever get my business, or that of anyone who will listen. I was charged $545 in total including $125 for Weekend fee, and $100 for dolly fee. The dolly fee is insane, I didn't ask you using dolly or not, it's up to you for which tool you use. Also if I didn't pick it up on Weekend, they will charge $70 for each day. So no matter when you pick your car, you will lose more extra money. I will take legal action against them. Beware!!! This company is a call center as they are associated with 2 other companies. One of them being courtesy towing. We had to deal with an impound on 4/16 and this company damaged our vehicle and charged us $100 for Dollies that were not used. I have video proof of the person that assisted us in the office telling us there was damage and confirming no dollies were used. We've been calling everyday for the last several weeks and no one ever helps us. I finally spoke to Gino the manager on 5/6 and he told me that come 5/9 he will look at the pictures and have the money for me. Kept calling all week bc I never got a call or anything. Well finally on 5/13 Jessica a dispatcher helped me and said she spoke with Gino and that he was very sorry but to come in Monday 5/16. I called today and was told that he would be in at 930. My catalytic converter was stolen last week and thus had to get the car towed. Called AAA and they connected me with these guys. The driver was about 45 mins late after the ETA given on the app. He then said that they should not have called him out as his truck is too big for the incline on the road ahead. I explained that he doesnt need to go up the hill only down the hill. He loaded up the car ok. When we got to the repair shop he just then told me there would be an overage miles charge. I was ok to pay it but after he took my id and credit card , he toook pics of both sides on his android phone and then emailed them (I think through gmail) to his company. I asked that he delete the pics from his phone. He didnt know how to do that so I walked him through deletion both from pics and trash. He had a lot of other pics on his phone. Not acceptable in my opnion. I followed up with AAA but they have been slow to respond. Appears from yelp that there are other people who have had similar experiences. This morning I was late to work since some idiot blocked me in, apparently he wanted to park in a red zone. After waiting almost an hour to see if they would return to the car, and failed attempts to contact property management, I gave Broadmoor a call. The dispatcher told me someone would be out in 20 minutes and I was very surprised to see the driver there with 5 minutes to spare. He was super friendly and professional. Ken arrived in 15-20 minutes and even called me on my cell phone to find my exact location. He was really chill and pretty funny and made my car breakdown situation less stressful. It was about 11pm at night and I didn't know where to tow my car to at that time and I was just going to tow it to my house but he actually knew the owner of a shop down the street from my house and dropped my car off there and then gave me a ride home. My insurance company ha seven attempting to get payment on an accident caused by their tow truck driver who dropped a broken trailer hitch in middle of freeway off ramp. When leaving, an alert came up on my dash saying my tire pressure was low. The next morning, the right side of my car was on the floor. Isn't it funny how the nails look so clean & look like they were positioned similar? I called to complain and the rude lady said I didn't have proof that it's from them.
