Tanous had done a good job installing our AC splits so we went with them to when we proactively…read morereplaced our boiler in the summer of 2025 even though they were more expensive than other vendors. Things were fine until we had a series of cold weeks Dec-Jan of 2026. The boiler was leaking significant amounts of hot water to the point that our boiler room turned into a sauna and piping became corroded. Despite various calls and visits from Tanous, the issue was not fixed so we had to bring in a separate plumber to redo all the piping and replace key components of the boiler. We shared photos and videos with Tanous during the period of issues. During a particularly cold weekend without heat, they indicated that they could not send someone out to fix the issues. Our plumber indicated that various parts used in the installation looked to be used/repurposed and key items were misinstalled and they had to overhaul the entire system. The owner from Tanous ("Mike") promised to take care of everything and cover the costs of our plumber once he was back from traveling abroad, but went radio silent after we shared the invoice despite various follow ups from Jan-March of 2026. They also refused to provide their insurance to cover the cost of the repairs. I will never be using Tanous again and would caution anyone considering them for such work in the future.

I am really amazed at the job that business owner Ace did for me today. It was the middle of a…read moreFriday afternoon and the truck he had scheduled to service my dryer vent was rear-ended and knocked out of commission. When Ace, the business owner, called me to reschedule I expressed that I was counting on the service because my tenants would be back this weekend and I promised to get it done while they were away. Ace then stepped up to do the job himself- and what a job he did! First he single-handedly schlepped a gigantic machine up a flight of stairs, despite his bad back. He then decided on a strategy that would work given my situation and got to work. It wasn't long before Ace found that a folded piece of metal lathe that had somehow been lodged deep inside my dryer vent was a major obstacle. Ace made numerous attempts to remove it, first with his hand and then with a grabber - but it was lodged in too deeply. But that didn't stop this man. He looked at me and said in a somewhat serious tone - "I think we're going to have to cut." He then cut the vent open until he could reach far enough in to remove the object. Ace then repaired where he had cut, and he finished the job. He then asked me to turn on the dryer to assure that the vent was now operating properly; immediately it was obvious that the air was flowing as it should. By not disappointing me and showing up despite having a truck down, by doing the job himself, and by dealing with the problem with determination and skill, Ace impressed me greatly. I would recommend this business wholeheartedly and I'll definitely be using them again.
