The vibe is friendly and local, the drinks are well poured, the food is good, and the service is appropriate and friendly. This is a step above being "dive" in my opinion, and they do a good job. It's a place where I can have a beer and a good burger for a reasonable price. It's bar food but better than your average bar food. I've never had a service issue, they've all been very friendly. Patrons have been friendly, even when some of us have been too drunk to appropriately interact with others. Only caveat: If you order a more "exotic" cocktail be prepared to explain it to them. They give it the ol' college try, but they're more the type of establishment that does a Greyhound, Screwdriver, Cape Cod, etc..... Fine by me. read more

I really like this bar. We came in here the other night after getting turned away from Dicarli up the street. The Dicarli restaurant was empty but we didn't have a reservation so they wouldn't take us...um stupid. We walked into Broadway and it was packed. We snagged the only available table and I notice that the happy hour is still available for five minutes. The bartender was pretty busy and it took him a while to get back to us but he let us still order off the happy hour menu. That was awesome! We didn't realize how large the happy hour portions would be so we ordered several different plates. That was a mistake because we had SOO much food. They let us take some home which was also really awesome because a lot of places don't let you take happy hour stuff home. They have a pretty good selection of beers and liquors and the menu is huge. The crowd seemed a little bit older, I guess its kind of hard to find a mid-twenties crowd in beaverton/hillsboro area. Nevertheless we will definitely be back to Broadway. If you like a good steak then this is the place. Who would think a dive bar in Beaverton. I have to go to a place more than once to write something up about them and last night was the third time. Rib-eye $13.75 grilled perfect, with salad or soup (and the soup was very good) with choice of potato, garlic bread & some great fresh cooked green beans with bacon and a little spice. I walk out stuffed and saying wow that was good... It's a saloon and it may have a bunch of noise from those at the bar but were can you get a great steak for that price ? Fish and chips were pretty good (batter was a tad heavy for my taste), but nice fresh non-fishy-fish. ;) We've had burgers here (yes, hand pressed local beef patties) are so good and messy! Breakfast is also good, but they soar with their lunch and dinner food. I've heard their steak dinners are great and the chicken fried steak looked amazing. I think the man who ordered it next to our table thought I was eyeing him, but nope...it was his CFS. Which we learned, yes: also made in house with side of real mash potatoes and scratch country gravy. If you're watching your waist line, there are plenty of healthy choices, but we ate like Fat Bastards' last meal on earth. We were looking for a local place to finally get out of the house during the COVID lock down and found Broadway Saloon. I was so impressed by their commitment to stay in tune with the never ending state regulated changes. I can't imagine what these owners are going through to keep up with all these rules. The restaurant was extremely clean and inviting. There are glass panels on the bar to help protect customers and bartenders as well as between the video poker machines. The staff is wearing masks and cleaning tables and Menus between customers. Tables are spaced with the 6 foot distance in mind. Service was prompt and the food was very good. My hat is off to these people who are trying so hard to follow the rules and still stay in business. Kudos to the owners and staff of the Broadway! We will definitely be back! read more

Said at 11:30 they couldn't do anymore breakfast even though they serve breakfast till 1pm. Only 10 customers inside. Ten minutes later I see one of the cooks playing video lottery. Then one of the bartenders was so upset with the manager she was crying so they decided to have an argument in front of everyone. Terrible management! Went in to meet a friend for late night drinks. It had been years since I last came in. Let me tell ya, nothing has changed. The service is excellent and the cook knows how to grill a steak. It was midnight and I was craving the sirloin, it was only $11. Came with potatoes, bread and veggies. The greens beans with bacon was phenomenal. The drinks were enjoyable. There is a large selection of liquor and beer. The crowd is pretty chill. There is one pool table and several video poker machines. There really isn't that much to do here but socialize. Broadway Saloon is your typical neighborhood dive bar, decent drinks and acceptable food. We usually meet another couple here for the steaks once every couple of months and rarely do we order alcohol. The wait staff has never once made us feel that we needed to order alcohol to get good service. Obviously this place isn't ElGaucho but at quarter of the price I'm willing to cut their steak entrees a little slack. I normally get the rib eye and its always been cooked medium rare as requested. The one time that one of our party got an over cooked steak they quickly replaced the steak with one cooked correctly along with a couple of shrimp that we didn't order. Nice touch and one I didn't expect. The baked potatoes are a little on the small side but they do load them adequately when you request the loaded potato. The salad is nothing to write home about. It's your typical iceberg lettuce but its always been crisp. We've also had breakfast here. Nothing special. Just your typical eggs, potatoes and meat done well. Overall a solid place for a drink and a decent if not inspiring meal. read more

Broadway sure went to shit. Been coming here for years and will never go back. The bar tender working today, Sunday is a complete joke. It took over 20 mins to get our drinks. I feel bad for the server, who is doing her best. Our server put our drink order in and the bartender ignored it and went on a break, then when she came back she continued to visit with her friends and ignore the customers. Her friends however were severd drinks and food quit quickly. I've watched each table in here just as frustrated as my husband and I. So sad for the local bar that has been around for years. I am on a quest to find the best burgers in Portland. Broadway saloon is in the top 10, perhaps top 5. Why? Because they have a great simple burger. Lardo may have some strange magical process, that imbues meat with more flavors than necessary. Le Pigeon, has special French baguettes, that have been paired with beef since the reign of the Sun King. But Broadway Saloon has taken Winco's finest and turned it into gourmet fair. Broadway Saloons deceptive hamburger tastes like you could make it at home, of course, it tastes like you'd have to obsess over every detail for decades as well. If you want a great hamburger, and a beer, go to Broadway Saloon in Beaverton. It isn't the most daring, but it certainly is perfectly cooked ground beef, between a solid bun, with good fresh condiments. read more

Did they get a new cook or something? My husband and I started going to Broadway Saloon a year or two ago based on reviews that called it the best steak/prime rib in Portland. And our first experience was incredible. The steaks were delicious. The next time we went on Friday so we could have the prime rib and that, too, was amazing. As were the sauteed green beans with bacon and onions. The beans were crisp and fresh and not overcooked. Truly delicious. And then it changed. Each time we've gone since then (every couple months or so) the experience has been progressively worse. The prime rib has never been as good as that first time we tried it. It's like they got a different cook who just isn't up to the task the way the one we had the first time was. Even the sides are getting woes Last night was the final straw. My supposedly-medium rare prime rib was cold. Not a little "this didn't get to the table fast enough" cool, but literally FRIGID. Like it had been pulled from the fridge and not cooked long enough to do anything but warm the very edges. And the green beans were overcooked, not crisply sauteed. We had hoped our first couple mediocre experiences were just a fluke, and that the norm was the wonderful experience we'd had the first two times we went. But sadly, it appears the opposite is true. Something changed at the Broadway Saloon and it no longer deserves the amazing ratings it gets. We'll be looking for a new place from now on. read more

This review is only for the breakfast, I have only been here twice for breakfast while my car was being worked on at Beaverton Kia. I asked for a recommendation from the guys at Kia and this is where they sent me, good idea. The place is a bar that serves food and I can only speak about the breakfast which was excellent and more than reasonably priced. Bacon and eggs, hash browns and toast for $7, wow. The wow applies to the food and the price both times were well prepared, good tasting and quick service. The decor is typical sports bar and looks a little worn but the people were quick, friendly and good to be around. Must try it for dinner some night, but for sure will be back for breakfast again sometime. read more

Came here for lunch when my family and I finished moving in. Mom wanted steak and that's exactly what she got. Everything is extra baconey everything is a little "extra" big portions. My mom and husband loved their ribeye. My step dad felt the NY was okay and I got a chicken salad that was average, though my portion of grilled chicken was huge. I had a pineapple cider and loved it. Really. For not eating anything before then I really ended up loving it... Haha. The old lady ( long grey hair) waiting on us was rude, never refilled our drinks, got our order wrong, and complained about having to spit our check at the end of the meal. She never checked back in with us once after she delivered our food we had to ask for the check i would never return to some place i felt like a bother to the waitress. Now before you make an excuse for her like she might have been busy i spent 4 years as a waiter, she had 2 other tables. I had it with cheddar cheese, and it was so, so juicy. The flavor was spot on, the bun was soft with a little bit of chewiness to it. They put both pickles AND relish on it...genius. And finally they messed up the bill, we somehow got charged for 2 extra beers which was fixed later.
