This experience was absolutely amazing! My group had booked for the Frozen Forest storyline when we arrived, and I've got to say, you would be so surprised with how much engagement is involved. The service was very nice, allowing for free hints or questions you can ask them on a iPad, so even if you're stuck, you still have chance to get clues. The puzzles, while challenging, are very creative for anyone to enjoy and can be a memorable. The ambience in the room can feel immersive and have the whole group be cautious. Super fun escape room with actor elements involved. The puzzles were pretty creative. They had quite a few scenarios to choose from. We were in the Frozen Forest scenario with 10 people and was able to escape with 13 minutes left. The material and everything that built out the room were great quality production. So fun! This was our first time at Portal. The base price is the same for up to 6 people. They send out a link for a waiver for every one to sign before you arrive. Tomb of the Gods was a great traditional linear escape room where you have to complete most of the puzzles in one room to open the door to the next. They use a lot of automation elements that are triggered when you solve a puzzle, which I love. It was a lot of fun, even though we didn't quite finish before time ran out. You get a tablet to communicate with the host. Our host Carter was great at sending us little hints, yet giving us plenty of time to try to figure things out for ourselves. He even let us finish the puzzles past our allotted time. We'll definitely be back to try their other rooms! read more

Fun theme-based bar and lounge! The decor is based off the escape rooms offered: tomb of the gods, underwater etc. The drinks are unique, strong, and delicious. The food is great but pricey. Expect to pay $16-$20 for a flatbread and $10-15 for appetizers. Drinks are $12-20. The service is alright. Waitstaff forgot our waters for 20mins and we had to wait 30mins for all the food to arrive. The food could also be improved. The greek flatbread was missing specified toppings and was a bit salty. We did Voyager together and this was an excellent room. High production value -- immersive with lots of automation, buttons, and triggers. The style of this room is more "individual" so everyone is working on their own puzzle simultaneously. So you feel like you're all working together but separately, with your own tasks. It's implemented well, for those who like this style. Note that this will feel different from rooms that are based on a linear progression (one puzzle at a time). Came here on a whim because we saw they were having the trivia night. Been wanting to do one of their escape games for awhile now and just hadn't made it in I'm so glad that we did make it in finally, we had so much fun! Not just because we got second place... Though that definitely helps. lol. We got quite a few different drinks and shots and everything we got was delicious aside from the piranha palms, and that's just preference. The drink had some tiny chunks of maybe coconut or pineapple, it's a texture thing, but my friend didn't like it. Otherwise DELICIOUS. We ended up doing a pretzel, jalapeno poppers, corn dog bites and the pizza... We were starved though and devoured everything but the pizza before taking the pics. Something that I really liked is them having their menu online and allowing you to check out with each other. Granted, the entire time staff were coming around asking if we needed anything and refilling waters. So you can definitely order through them if that's preferred. I included a few pictures of the decor, but I definitely didn't get enough. They have a few tiki booths, a couple others with different styles, regular tables if you'd prefer, and the bar is nautical themed. From the floor to the ceiling this spot is decked out. I don't have a ton of experience at Escape rooms, but this one has certainly been my favorite experience. The staff were super friendly. They sort of have an introduction to tie in the Escape Room experience, which was fun. The room we tried was Tomb of the Gods, so I can't really speak to the other rooms. The room was well decorated. The puzzles are by far some of my favorite. They are super interactive, use multiple senses and skills, and some require a lot of tactile movement which feels a lot more immersive. They do only have 3 rooms available which is unfortunate as there is only a limited amount of rooms that you can try. But we'll certainly be back to attempt the other 2. read more

Summary: Escape room on the expensive side (but reasonable the larger the group is), but with high quality decoration, puzzles, infrastructure, and service. Expect to coordinate if you want to win! This was quite an enjoyable experience! For other Escape Room experiences, it definitely is on the more expensive side, however - since it is per room booking rather than people participating - if you have a full party it can end up being quite reasonable (if you are willing on spending money on these experiences). The higher price range does correlate with a palpable increase in quality with other places in the Portland Metro area. The facilities are extremely nice, clean bathrooms, and with an extremely detailed introduction experience. The game master was also great, and was extremely kind and helpful. I went with my grandparents, who have never been in an Escape Room, and who don't speak English very well. The room decoration, and the puzzles varied in difficulty (from easy to hard), giving everyone in the room a fulfilling task to do. Definitely expect to do a lot of team coordination in order to be successful! As for food/drink, we did not go into the bar area, but the ambiance looked quite amazing, albeit a bit desolate. read more

We enjoyed talking with the owners and hearing how the place came about and the trial and error of the rooms I liked how big each room was too! I'm SO impressed! We came with a group of six - my husband and I have done more than 50 escape rooms, the other four have done a couple previously. We came here on a snowy weekend and we decided last-minute that we wanted to try a room together and this was the only location that we could find availability - boy did we get LUCKY! Our game master was super friendly and told us about the company when we checked in. It's clear that their team has put so much time and energy into making this place high quality and they care about their company. They have a super fun bar area downstairs that wasn't open yet when we came in but we got to walk around the theming/decor was EXCELLENT (our friends said it was "Disney-level"). The game itself was SO FUN! The decor and theming was very high quality (you can see a bit of it in our group picture here). Came here for trivia for the first time. It's mainly an escape room upstairs and a lounge downstairs. ALL employees are soooo nice and welcoming. Owned by 2 brothers who were on site and friendly. Bar tender was a bit slow so drinks were empty for a little while and we were sitting at the bar top, drinks should never be empty at the bar top! Highly suggest to have a good bar back to help her next time. Food wasn't bad, we had the pretzel that was good size but came with the smallest portion of cheese. Luckily our server brought us extra or else we'd have yo finish a dry pretzel. The bbq pizza is good however it has bbq and marinara and the mix wasn't great. The flat breads are not flat they have a pretty large amount of dough. All in all I will try this again. The ambiance alone is worth it. All hand painted murals it was cool read more

I've done nearly 100 escape rooms across the U.S. and this may just be my FAVORITE. My family and I were incredibly impressed with the experience playing The Sunken Ruins. We came on a Monday night, so the bar / restaurant area wasn't open, which was a bummer since we would've loved to see it! We were greeted by two staff members who were incredibly friendly and welcoming. After the standard waiver + video introduction, we began our game. From the get-go, we were blown away by the set design and level of immersion. I don't want to give too much away, but the game starts with an entertaining sequence and never really slows down. It wasn't your traditional esacpe room in that there's really no "end," and instead, you're trying to amass as much money through solving puzzles and playing mini games as possible. We were engaged the entire time; in our group of 6, no one was ever standing around. I also loved this setup because it meant you're really getting your money's worth, as opposed to games where you're paying for 60 minutes but escape in half the time. I would highly recommend this to escape room veterans and anyone looking to get a "video game" experience in real life. There's so much to do and the set design and puzzles are nothing short of mystifying. read more

We had a fun family outing with another family doing an escape room. 4 adults & 5 kids ages ages 4-11. It was clean, well thought out and really fun. The staff was very friendly. My only downside is the cost - wowza! Would love to frequent this place more often but for what we paid unfortunately we won't back. For 1 hour $300 is just not worth it. The bar is a super cool concept and fun to watch people in the escape rooms on the TVs. This bar brilliantly combines tropical tiki vibes with an enchanting underwater theme. The decor features bamboo accents, glowing jellyfish lamps, and "windows" that mimic ocean depths, creating a truly immersive experience. The creative cocktails, are served in whimsical mugs, and the staff's friendly service enhances the vibe. The owner even came out to introduce himself and see if there was anything we needed. We didn't do a panic room, but even just being at the bar it was fun to enjoy the themed spaces, and a tranquil yet lively atmosphere, this spot is perfect for a unique night out. This place is a hidden gem right next to NIKE Campus behind the Subway. Super fun vibe and interesting stuff everywhere. The staff is friendly and you can tell that the owners really care about the place. The bartenders are wizards and make really excellent drinks and trivia nights are fun and a little challenging (so bring some friends).
