I had the first visit there on 9/27/2021 around 10:00 pm. The lady ordered me the wrong food order, instead of chicken wings, I got fried chicken. I had a couple of drinks. When the bill ca,e, she had added the wrong order as well. I asked to take it off but she rudely asked that I already started eating it and could take it home and did not want to remove the bill. As If she was going to take the wrong ordered food and going to eat herself or was going to give it to some other customer. I am sure that would go to the garbage, fried potatoes, etc. So, instead of wasting the food, I packed and left. I was going to drink a couple more drinks and end up spending $ 50+ on alcohol and food anyways. But rude behavior won't bring me back there. I just paid for extra food as a tip and left. Do not recommend this place. We are there to spend and have fun so be respectful and nice. read more

I've had excellent food here...unfortunately, it was so far from excellent tonight, I am reviewing it. Food needs to be a certain temperature...and I'm not normally a temperature snob. When I eat a French fry or take a bite of mashed potatoes, I should believe that at one point, they were hot temperaturewise. I was shocked at how cold things were...and very disappointed. Broadway uses Ponderosa local meats, steak and fries $11.50 for a baseball sized 10oz steak, cooked rare as ordered, rare in itself ...was outstanding! Comes with Frozen fries but oh well 4 shades of Tabasco fixed that! $4.50 HHr 1/2 ton burger = 1/3 lb Ponderosa patty, no cheese (+.50c) at HHr, served medium; no complaints, 14 taps incl Atlas cider. The ambiance is definitely a saloon with a long bar, old west photos and slot machines. Fun for a drink but definitely don't recommend it for the food. Previous reviews said they had great steaks..... the two ribeye steaks we ordered were thin and extremely hard to chew, cooked correctly medium rare, but not at all a quality cut of meat. Breakfast visit - Serve a nice rib eye in the morning. Probably one of the best steak and eggs + hash browns breakfasts I've ever enjoyed (certainly for $16) Sassy and attentive server kept our coffee hot - while my business guest and I enjoyed a large rib eye steak and eggs. I went in to broadway saloon with my boyfriend, best friend, and her parents. We went in after bowling at big als. The bartender said she wouldn't serve us after two beers. We were verbally berated, unwelcome, and yelled at outside after leaving and waiting for an uber. I will never come back here again due to the inappropriate bartender and rude service. Please never come here for drinks or food. Even if you are looking for fun, you will be verbally abused for a drink. It is appalling how we were treated simply for being somewhat giggly after a few drinks with friends. Flew into Portland late and needed a bite on the way to the hotel. I wanted breakfast, and the omelette sounded delicious. I was a little miffed that they weren't able to make me one even though the menu shows they would after 11pm; something about another table ordered too many things that needed the grill. So I got the Cobb salad. Delicious- piled high with good avocado, bacon and a wonderful bleu cheese dressing along with crumbles. Very good. read more

My girlfriend took me here for my birthday dinner, and it just so happened to be on Prime Rib Friday. The outside is rustic and a classic small town bar feel, and above all it's clean so you don't have to sweep cigarette butts out of your way before going inside (Outside seating was available as well). We ordered a quesadilla for an appetizer thinking that it would be a normal size quesadilla like you find everywhere else... wrong! They bring out this big ol' fatty complete with salsa, sour cream and guacamole. Our salads came out at the same time, and were equally monstrous. After seeing the feast that already lay before us, I made the conservative call to tackle the salad and wait on the quesadilla (fortunately for us both). After about 10 minutes, our main courses arrived. The prime rib was a healthy slab and was cooked perfectly. It didn't have the heavy flavor crust I am accustomed to, but it was delicious nonetheless (did I say it was huge?). Next to my slice of dead cow, there was a heap of garlic mashed potatoes and a large pile of green beans that had been sauteed with bacon, onions, and garlic. I honestly must say that those green beans were nothing short of a hand-me-down from God himself. If I didn't love meat so much, I could live on those beans alone - Absolutely grubbin! We are visiting from Arizona and we were looking for a place that served food past 10pm and found this place. The server/bartender was amazing and very friendly! She was serving the bar along with other tables but was gave fantastic service. the clam chowder was great and the food portions were enormous. Definitely recommend this place. read more

Been in here a few times. Went in yesterday for a mid afternoon HH, they are good for drinks but is a small time regulars place and if you are not a regular in here you don't seem to get very good service. The waitress seemed very stiff and many times we tried to strike up a conversation with her but her face remained like she had sucked on the the lemons she was cutting up. Dang.. lighten up love! I have had the food here before a little spendy for what you get, but mostly since then I've just been coming in here for drinks which I might add are awesome. Great place to stop in during the day on your way to your next thing. The food as I remember was sub par, nothing to write home about.. but does it job as dive bar. Small place, tough parking, nowhere near anyplace we're going.....but we keep going back to Broadway Saloon!! Truly some of the best bar food around. The cordon-bleu chicken sammich is nothing short of ridiculous! We've only been for lunch, so I have no idea what it's like here in the evenings, but during the day it's certainly a local's spot...and that's not a bad thing. The staff is....used to dealing with their locals....so it may take a minute for them to warm up to you, but we've had nothing but good experiences. Maybe 8 taps or so....I can always find something I like (I'm a non-hoppy guy....so 70 IBU IPAs aren't my thing), and of course, a full bar. Go hungry. You won't be when you leave! read more

Was my fave neighborhood bar. Could be described as a dive bar, but only in the best sense of the term, usually good service, but lately has been more hit and miss, the facility is well maintained and it is a fun place to hang out. Very good well drink prices. Steak specials are worth a look. Solid burgers. Updates in early 2018... they have abandoned happy hour all together and raised the volume of their music/jukebox. Also raised all other food prices. Other than a few servers I like and good quality on well pours; most everything else has gone DOWN hill in quality, pricing, and welcoming atmosphere. Considering moving my weekly hang with my friend to other locales... I am disappointed with recent trends. read more

Rude ass bartender, 2nd I can't even call ther number they provide cuz its not even ringing all I can't even tell them my side of the story

My husband and I went Friday night. I had the prime rib and my husband had the fish and chips. My Prime Rib literally melted in my mouth. I've had the Prime Rib twice now and it's melted in my mouth both times. I did have to send it back this time as I ordered it medium rare and it came out super rare. Our server was very nice about taking it back. When it came back it was perfect and still melted in my mouth. Very juicy and flavorful. The fish and chips my husband had were obvious frozen fillets but he still enjoyed his dinner. Our drinks were kept full and the food came out in a timely manner. I was pretty impressed with this little, tucked away bar. I had been told that they had pretty good hot wings, so I decided to pop in. Highlights: * The "nitro wings" nearly made me cry, which is what I look for in hot wings. Good sized portion of very meaty wings. * The Buffalo wings had a great flavor with a well balanced spice. Better than most dedicated wing joints around Portland. * Plenty of seating at the bar and at tables throughout. * Weekly trivia nights * A good tap list and drink specials. We came here recently, fresh from PDX and adventures overseas, intent on having a lovely steak supper at a highly reasonable price. Instead, we were persuaded to try Broadway Saloon's newfangled "Wilbur's Revenge", which was apparently just recently introduced for some sort of regional burger tournament. That behemoth burger utterly vanquished our mortal shells and every bit of our exaggerated appetites. Mounds of residual pulled pork and pepperjack cheese, smeared w/ a sort of grimy lasciviousness w/ aieoli (sp?), an enduring testament to our epic battle and utter loss. Alas, there were no white flags or napkins anywhere in sight, to wave to the victor, that wasn't already generously stained w/bbq sauce I always wondered what my personal Waterloo would look like. I had no idea it would come in the form of Beaverton-style pub grub, served up by about the friendliest female barkeep among the mortal realms. Granted, it is so much easier to be gracious in victory, than it is for some of us to be gracious in defeat. Even so, even so. Her efforts were greatly appreciated, as were here amazingly bad jokes. She was every inch our peer and master, as entertainment for the evening went. A salute and many noisome cups raised for Broadway Saloon. What do I miss most about Eugene?? The love for the Ducks!! It didn't matter what bar you called on Saturday, they had the game. We're waiting for comcast to install the cable, and we were in a pinch last week when the Ducks played Missouri State... After calling muchos water holes, Broadway Saloon was happy to confirm that, "YES!! We have the game!!" That sealed the deal, that's where we went. I was pissed to see that I missed the first T.D., score was tied, I walked in, bellied up, and was instantly tuned in...They have about 5+ TV's and a different game on each one. When I was able to peel my eyes from the tube, I looked around and noticed how nice and cozy this lil place is. Reminds me of a bar back where I grew up. They had license plates that covered the wall from every state. A row of about 5 Video Poker machines lined the opposite wall, they have 1 pool table, and from what I heard the food's great. Can I vouch for that?? Nope!! Not one bit, I didn't have a bite to eat. But I did drink my first ever PBR for 2.50. YUK!! Sorry PBR fans....I would rather drink bottled acid rain. Errrr maybe that's what it really is?? Ehhh who knows.... My wife had a rockstar and vodka, and where as she didn't care for it, I did mention it tasted 10x better than PBR. Service was great, it wasn't too busy so the server wasn't slammed, but still she was nice, checked up on us, yet didn't hassle us about getting food or extra drinks. I really liked my visit to this to this spot, after a few visits and perhaps dabbling in the menu, i'll have a re-review for this place. I've been to the Broadway enough times over the years that I'm surprised I've never reviewed it. But it's that kind of place. Everything is fine and relatively unremarkable, I forget to review it. We're usually stopping in for a cocktail or two, always on the way to something else. It's reliable, if a bit too dark for my liking. But the food is what got me to finally write something. Both of us wanted a decent burger, and living in Beaverton we've somehow never found a great burger place nearby. We had heard good things about the Broadway's food, so we thought we'd give it a shot. Smart move! We both ordered the half ton cheeseburger, which despite the name is not a half-ton but is a good size and filling. It comes standard with cheddar and swiss, and you can jazz it up with bacon if you want. It is very, very good -- perfectly seasoned, perfectly cooked and on a toasted bun. Comes with a side of fries or tots, which are fine but the fry sauce is what makes it. It's the same kind of ketchup/mayo pink concoction you've had before but with a kick of horseradish. I don't like horseradish, but I loved this. I put some on my burger and I think it's even better on that than on fries. Great burger and we'll be back again. It's been ages since I've had the steak dinner there, though I remember it being good and I want to try that again soon. I still can't go over 3 stars because it's a little dark and a little dingy, and not terribly memorable otherwise. But get a burger, you'll do just fine. read more

It isn't a perfect five-star review, but Broadway Saloon was such a surprise that I'm giving them that extra bonus to get them up to 5. There was a good attitude from the employees here and a good, balanced atmosphere overall. The best part was the food, though, and that's always most important. There is an odd balance here between bar and pub. There is no compromise between the two when it comes to the food, though. This isn't good bar food. This is good food. It isn't the mediocre pub food you might be used to around here, either. It is the greasy food you'd expect, but it's done right. There is a weird atmosphere here. There is something just slightly upscale about the place, which most people would probably disagree with me on. There is also a strong "video poker crowd" and those just there to drink. It works, though. I think we've found a good alternative to the local chain. read more

Dear Yelp.... 1. This is NOT a "Steakhouse". It is a small neighborhood Bar that also serves a bit of food on the side. NO one should go here for the food. 2. Despite your assurance that the information was "updated in December 2018.... this does NOT include the cost of the items this establishment serves. The ACTUAL prices are several years out of date. . The food served here was so bad, so incredibly bad, I couldn't finish it. My "10 ounce rib eye" was closer to 7 ounces. It was served with a stale pile of cauliflower that was so over cooked it stank up the room. When my steak was eventually brought to the twble, it was ROOM TEMPERATURE . My "baked potato" had been quickly naked in a microwave. My companion's "batter dipped fish and chips" were three trapezoids of pre-engineered frozen fish bits that were prepared by tossing them into a deep fryer. I wonder how a place with such horrible service can remain in business. We were there for dinner at 4pm. There were no other diners... so it was not taxing to serve us. The service here is "indifferent" at best. Our water glasses were not refilled. When my steak was finally served, I asked for steak sauce. Our first food server went off to get it.... and never ever followed through. We never saw her again. I asked the second server for out bill. Rather than simply bring us our bill, she stopped found the television remotes, adjusted several tvs, put back the remotes, and only then brought us our bills. This may be a fine place if you are a regular. But if you are not a regular, it is a frustrating and very very disappointing . There are substantial "issues" with this establishment. Excellent experience. Food was very good and a great value. Service was friendly, and responsive. The chicken fried steak was completely homemade (not from a box). The green beans were fresh. The steak was a good cut and prepared very well. We've been here a few times and the experience has been consistent, so I would definitely recommend this place for a bar & American food experience. Walking In, I really wanted to like this place. Like a lot, it looks cool. We hit up happy hour, and it was your typical bar food. The jalapeno poppers are the same as everywhere but the quesadilla was surprisingly meaty. The beef I had was with the beer. I know the trend these days is leaning towards lots and lots of IPAs and I'm an Amber man. So everywhere I go you seem to have one really inferior choice, and I'll just say it. DROP TOP is mediocre at best. Not having good to choose from, I went for cheap. Bud Light. It was gross; tasted like it hasn't been pulled for a month. My beer had one drink taken from it the entire hour we were there. I went with a buddy, and he got the special, a Mexican coffee. One taste of that drink for each of us and we were done with it. Just for the record, I'm usually quick to ridicule anyone that leaves alcohol behind. Normally this isn't a deal breaker for me, I'd go back if the atmosphere was good and just order a well drink, but the waitress was completely disinterested and THAT bothers me. Neither one of us drank anything; for 2 dudes, that's really odd. No "Everything great, guys?" no "Can I get you anything else?" The place wasn't even remotely busy and now I can see why. read more

We came here for lunch. I had the dawg of the day which consisted of a spicy grilled sausage served on an open face bun and loaded with grilled onions, white sauce (sour cream?), cilantros, and tomatoes. It was good. I had the potato salad as my side. It says it is homemade and it has the consistency of a Resers Potato Salad. What I really like about this place is the architectural design and I like sitting in swivel seats. It makes me feel like I'm six again. The service was good. We had a nice waitress. I've never gone to a place like this. Especially since it's 21 and up and I usually have my kids. However I really wanted to try it so my husband and I found a sitter and did a date night. I was not disappointed. That was the best prime rib I have had in years and the plates were huge. My husband got a burger (they were out of meatloaf,) and Merlin's Milk beer. He said both were outstanding. Although the food was amazing the waitresses left something to be desired, they were very nice when they made their way to us but that took awhile since they liked to talk patrons at the bar. I'm sure if we had been regulars they would have been a bit nicer.
