That's when I realized I probably walked into a local favorite because it got busy fast. Staff were friendly even with the rush. The latte was good, exactly what you'd expect from a solid coffee shop. And the croissant breakfast sandwich was just that... good, simple, fresh. Nothing crazy or overhyped. Just what I wanted. BEST COFFEE IN BOSTON. Perhaps it was expecting average diner coffee, or just truly craving one, but realistically it's the quality and way they brew it. If I come back, I'm going to buy a bag of the coffee they sell. It's a quaint diner. That's very rustic looking gave me a field that I was in New York City. The staff were very friendly and when you order a sandwich, it comes with a free bag of chips. The chicken Caesar wrap was fantastic. It had so much chicken I couldn't eat all of it. Yet, it was some of the best chicken as none of it was tough or rubbery, which most places lack the quality. Such a great little spot! I work in a nearby school so Broadway's is a frequent stop. The staff is so so friendly and the food is delicious. I am eating their classic ham and cheese right now as I type! Not a coffee drinker but I love their selection of teas, both hot and iced. I came here on a Saturday morning and it was quite busy. We ordered a large iced caramel coffee and a chocolate croissant. I stumbled at this coffee shop on my way to an appointment on the same street, and it was a huge surprise! I ordered the caramel macchiato with almond milk, and a large size including the additional charge for the almond milk was already much cheaper than getting it anywhere else. AND it was good. I've been getting not so good coffee drinks either because they put way too much milk, or there is no flavor at all, but the caramel macchiato was perfect (check the picture to see, literal perfection). They have decent seats with outlets by them, so you can easily work from home from here with their free wifi and cozy seats. A long coffee shop in the south end. The area and the coffee shop had a calm serene vibe, especially considering its proximity to the city. The coffee shop is deep and has seating on one end of the store. They serve a wide variety of pastries and sandwiches and coffees. Latte - Pretty standard latte. Milk was ok and coffee was ok. The foam was a bit too foamy for me. Apple turnover - I love apple turnovers. I like the apple jam, the pastry on top and the large sugar cubes on top. Broadway's was a quaint coffee shop that I visited while traveling to Boston. I grabbed a iced chai latte and an oatmeal cookie. There were a lot of delicious food options. My iced chai latte had a nice flavor but I like mine to be on the sweet side. Not sure if it was supposed to be like that and I needed to ask for or add sweetener. I had high hope for this place after reading all the positive reviews on yelp, but I was very underwhelmed by this place. Came here on a sat afternoon. The shop was pretty empty. I thought the bakeries should be good because they call themself a pastry place. But most of the stuff are not made in store. Croissant is very dry. Baklava looks good but no nutty tasty and it was overly sweetened but def not by honey. The only pastry that tasted good was the cinnamon twist. They do sell Italian cookies and some Italian pastries such as ricotta cheese pie. But if I want to try those, I would probably go to the North End. Also they used Parsifal covered most of the pastry at the end of the day so I'm not sure how fresh are those pastries. read more

We walked in around 4:50, 10 min before closing, maybe that's the reason the server was not friendly and appeared pissed, for no apparent reason. I think it's a common sense thing to ask about the Cannoli flavors and such, but the server looked at me like I'm crazy. No "thanks" or "have a nice rest of your day" or anything along these lines. Can't get over how yummy my almond crossiant was! It had the perfect buttery and flaky crust. I asked for it to be warmed up a bit so when I tested open this bad boy the almond filling oozed out slowly and it was so welcomingly delicious. Came here a few times for quick coffee and once to chill for a bit. Caution: this place is towards the pricier side of coffee and pastries - around the same price as Starbucks and Flour Coffee Shop Vibes: the store is not really big with around 8 tables in total (I think?) with free wifi if you ask them for the password. It smells like coffee all day and the staff is really nice (the two asian ladies - this other woman I met today wasn't nice at all, she looked like she hated life) There's a small restroom at the back that is really clean. Coffee: I only ordered their dark roast coffee. I think it's best to just go with the large because the difference in price from the medium and the large is so small. Their coffee is nice and fresh There are options such as vanilla latte, pumpkin spice latte, iced tea which I'll try out next time. 1) Hot Matcha Latte - this is actually good! It tasted like matcha and is not too sweet. I would say its comparable to starbuck's matcha latte Pastries: 1) Red Velvet Cupcakes - their cupcake is really soft and moist and I love it ! (I don't know how else to explain) the cream cheese frosting isn't too sweet but if you compare it to Georgetown cupcakes, it obviously isn't the same level. I still like it though, ordered it twice. (8/10) 2) Chocolate croissant - very buttery, not a lot of chocolate and is crispy. Not the best croissant for my taste (6/10) 3) Apple Turnover - ($2.50 -- not too bad) the pastry is not as soft as I hope it would be. I think they put a bit too much butter in it. The apple sauce inside is quiet good, but tasted a bit too artificial towards the end - not a lot of real apple pieces inside. (6/10) 4) Spinach and Feta -- ($3.50 -- quiet pricy) not a lot of spinach and cheese inside at all. It was a disappointment. I don't think anyone should order this.
