    Halloumi & Sunny-Side Breakfast Sandwich
    Shradha A.

As someone who has been writing so many stellar reviews for Tatte, I had the most disappointing breakfast sandwich today. It had a tiny piece of Halloumi, no sauce or seasoning, and basically just two slices of gluten-free bread with a small egg in between. I don't know if they forgot to add seasoning or it generally comes so dry - I also wouldn't advertise this as a Halloumi sandwich when you put one square inch of halloumi cheese in it. This simple order took more than 30min to bring out. I do appreciate that the team checked in with us about 20min in and asked whether we had received our order (clearly we hadn't) but I'm highly disappointed and unlikely to return to any location of Tatte now for food. I would've prepared this simple breakfast much better at home and I'm not even skilled in the kitchen.

Popular bakery chain with multiple locations around Boston. We stayed in the Seaport area and this was by the port and only about a 15 minute walk from the Westin. We came here on a Thursday morning around 10am and as I read in reviews that people make their own lines, but the lines go by pretty quickly. You start at the pastry area where you can choose what you want then you order your drinks and food at the register. We had a family of 4 adults and a toddler and ordered separately and were able to snag a table inside. We got pastries like the pistachio croissant, chocolate, madam croquette and others. For meals I got the salmon, egg, and avocado sandwich which was very hearty (and my first time seeing sriracha Tabasco sauce), my friend got the corn and spinach shakshuka, which was really good, my other friend got a salad, and another person got a sandwich. It was pretty hearty and we had pastries for us to take for snack the rest of the day. I got a pistachio latte and my friends got iced coffees and americanos, coffee was also good. There's indoor and outdoor seating, people working remotely, people and families coming and going. Very interesting that they were trying to do ceiling work or fix something right on top of the register during this busy flow time. Staff were super friendly and helpful.

I'm a Tatte fan and I've slowly been going to different locations every time I visit a different part of Boston. First time in the Seaport area and treated myself to my go-to smoked salmon sandwich at Tatte. I enjoyed the combo of the umami salmon, capers, and creamy sauce with their fluffy eggs, avocado, and crunchy microgreens. For seasonal items, the summer corn bisque was creamy with just the right amount of seasoning and dill. The corn has a crunch and sometimes more of a chewiness with the intact skin (which I can see how some people may not be a fan of but I liked the textural contrast.) I also got their rose cold foam with the pistachio latte. The cold foam actually featured a nice floral, rosy flavor that complemented the pistachio nuttiness. The house tatte latte is another reliable go-to favorite of mine! As usual staff were nice and friendly. Food came out at a reasonable time given how busy it was. Again I love how consistent Tatte has been able to offer their yummy drinks and food across different locations in different cities throughout the years!

Beautifully located near the water. Lots of seating inside and outside. Very busy and very loud. Lots of people working on laptops or lounging around. Good music playing. The iced mocha is so very excellent, made with chocolate, not syrups or powders. Tiramisu and some pastries were good, but breakfast plate was just ok (hash browns were super salty).

From Washington to Boston, I scored all the Tatte cafes (bingo!) Thus, I can commend the parties and coffee quality and branding are consistent and the interior and location are pristine! This cafe is still on top of my list on the East Coast!!

Food: Roasted salmon sandwich and Nutella hamantaschen were 11/10. SO good! However their chai latte wasn't super good. I felt like their chai was weak? I usually get it hot and maybe it was because it was my first time getting it iced. Service: Super nice! Ambiance: Really nice natural sunlight. In a really nice area of town as well. Can get busy with all the corporate people.

Since coming to boston, I've been to a Tatte 3 days in a row. I love their hot matcha specifically and the shakshuka- oh and the cheesecake! Their menu selection and desserts have been yummy and reliable. Also clean bathroom and kind service. Some things are more filling than others, so order kinda based on your hunger levels. Shakshuka/ lamb hash is a much larger portion than chicken pita. Would 100% come again to grab a bite, meet a friend, or read a book :)

Have always heard great thing about Tatte. All of their baked goods looked delish. We shared the Prosciutto and Parmesan egg plate which was yummy and definitely not lacking in parmesan which we appreciated The line was long but our food came out quicker than our coffees did. Would definitely go back and try some pastry's and other menu items.

I'm adding to everything that you have already heard. Tatte is for aesthetics and light snacks. I've been to multiple locations and they all have awful parking, the wait times are lengthy no matter what day/time you go, and the staff always seem irritated. I didn't want to write them off based on one bad experience but I've had four. My breakfast sandwich that's pictured was cold-- very annoying being that it took over 20min. The white peach/mint drink was refreshing but not worth the price and full of ice. The desserts aren't better than any bakery in the North End or Westborough for that matter. Tatte comes up on every "what to eat in Boston" video however Boston has so much more to offer!

This coffee shop is gorgeous, the vibe, the ambiance, the displays. Everything looks great. The service was super fast and the staff members were very kind. All the pastries look AMAZING! It's hard to choose; I got the almond cherry scone and it was delicious, I also grabbed a large Cafe Au Lait and was pretty good.

First time here and I love how pretty the restaurant is and how welcoming it was! I can't wait to come back here again. There were plenty of different options for all different people. They have seasonal items that you can get and the variety is big. The monkey bread was beyond delicious and so soft & moist!! The grilled cheese was also very flavorful with all the different cheeses. It was one of the best grilled cheese I've ever had. Can't wait to come back to seaport to visit

My two daughters had been to the Georgetown location of Tatte and they really liked it. So we decided to eat lunch here on our walk to Institute of Contemporary Art. We shared an order of lamb hash and mushrooms, potato, & bacon shakshuka. For desert, we ordered chocolate sandwich cookie and plain brownie. It was the first time my wife and I had eaten shakshuka. Youngest daughter had it before. It was so creamy and delicious. We really enjoyed the dish. The lamb hash was also very good. The bakes had the right amount of sweetnesd and chew, loved them. We were so impressed, we returned for afternoon coffee and pistachio cherry tart. Needless to say, we enjoyed those as well. Employees were friendly and quick. Prices were appropriate.

I am always on the hunt for a great coffee shop or café with solid espresso for my morning Americano fix. On a recent trip while staying in the Seaport area, I searched around and Tatte looked like the best option. Walking in, it is clear this is a newer location. The space is bright and spacious with plenty of seating inside and a large outdoor patio. As I got in line to order coffee, I passed their glass pastry cases filled with all sorts of tempting options. I told myself "only coffee," but then I spotted the Kouign-amann (pronounced QUEEN-ah-men) and could not resist. Since I was walking that morning, I justified the extra calories. The pastry was outstanding, perfectly caramelized on the outside with a buttery, flaky texture inside. Even better, the coffee impressed me too. It had a smooth, balanced flavor without the over-roasted, burnt notes you get at many chains. I would absolutely return to try more breakfast or pastry items, and of course, enjoy another cup of coffee.

Are outdoor seats usually available on Sunday mornings?

The busiest time is Saturday and Sunday morning/lunch- could be hard to find a spot outside.

The smell of bacon was too good to keep moving past it and we decided to head inside. Best happy accident!! Any place that has staff wearing shirts that say "Stoked for yolks" and has an array of pig decor- jackpot! The small menu was deliciously stacked with breakfast and lunch options; the griddle was sizzling, there's a drink fridge, and a spot to stand and consume. My husband got a turkey and I did a ruby melt; SO GOOD! I perused the menu, and the breakfast options all looked incredible! If you find yourself on this end of Tremont and you smell amazing bacon, follow your nose to Mike and Patty's - you will not be disappointed! Also, staff was super friendly! There's a small park with shaded benches about 2 blocks away (Elliot Norton Park) which is a great place to sit down and devour the food. I ordered the Mission Breakfast Burrito and it was delicious. As of August 2026, the website lists the burrito as $14, but the price on the in-person menu was $16. I would give the burrito 4 out of 5 stars because of the way it was wrapped - about a third of the burrito was just egg and cheese and the toppings (avocado, red onion, hash browns, salsa verde, crema) were crammed on the other side of the burrito. If there was a way for the burrito to be wrapped so all the ingredients were more evenly distributed - this would easily be a 5/5 breakfast burrito. One random detail that stuck out to me was that their drinks in their refrigerator were very cold - no lukewarm sodas here! I would come back here to try their signature "Fancy" sandwich. Overall, this is a very solid breakfast spot in Boston!

First of all, the pastry case just beautifully displays all the baked goods. It's quite a sight to see! I love the variety and flavors, very unique. If you know what you want, gotta get in line and grab it quick! If you wanna put in your own order, you can use the kiosk, which is really fun to use. I ordered a chai with oat milk (it's very light in flavor) and got a bialy. Honestly I had not had a bialy in over 25+ years... and was surprised to see it in the case and I had to have it. A corn + cheddar bialy. It did NOT disappoint. I also got london fog with oat milk previously, also very nice, but this place was soooo good we had to come back. She also got the french toast (2 slices) with kid's milk and said it was the best french toast she's ever had. My sis got a chocolate pain suisse, which I had never seen before. It's basically brioche filled with pastry cream and chocolate. It looked delicious and with coffee, my sis ate the whole thing up. All in all, this place has so much delicious eats..
