I had Levain cookies for the first time while I was in Chicago, and I instantly fell in love! I was honestly a little skeptical when I first looked at the cookie because it didn't look particularly soft, but once I tried it, I was completely obsessed. So, of course, when I Googled Levain and saw that there were locations back home in Boston, I was like, "Oh my goodness, thank goodness!" That being said, I have to say that the Chicago location was better than this one. I feel like the cookies at this location are cooked just a little longer, so they aren't quite as soft and chewy as the ones I had in Chicago. That's really the only reason I'm giving four stars. I love that this NY chain has expanded so much. They legitimately make my dream cookies - slightly under baked on the inside with crispy edges, unbelievably ginormous, and incredibly rich. They are worth the hype. The cookies are like $5-6 but you're really buying a dessert for 4 people, or 4 different days. They freeze well too ;) No seating inside, but it's in the gorgeous seaport area so there is plenty of places to enjoy your treats outside. They also have other pastries, breads, savory items, and cookie + ice cream collabs but let's be honest you can't miss the cookies. When I can't get to the bakery, I door dash it :) I'm not a big dessert person, so I cannot finish a whole cookie by myself. But I cannot resist tasting it! The fragrant smell of butter and chocolate is too enticing to ignore. I especially like getting a fresh cookie from the bakery because it's served fresh and warm. This is a famous cookie shop based in NYC and the location here in Seaport is beautifully designed and the smell of delicious cookies when you walk in is mesmerizing! They have a variety of cookies to choose from including their most famous ones like chocolate chip walnut, dark chocolate peanut butter chip, & oatmeal raisin. I opted to grab the seasonal lemon cookie and chocolate chip walnut. Service was quick and friendly and I had my cookies less than a minute after paying. Both were tasty and filled to the brim with chocolate chips and lemon chips and they were soft on the inside and chewy and crunchy on the outside. Bakery back east. Had a dinner meeting at local restaurant. On my way I found this back to my hotel. I walked in and they were still baking. Their aroma from their cookies filled the room. Levain cookie review is straight-forward- decadent & delicious! From the basic chocolate chip to the speciality flavors they have all been good. The Lemon white chocolate, toffee chocolate, black & white, and Pb chocolate limited editions are totally worth it and the toffee hot chocolate I tried at my recent visit did not disappoint. These are thick, rich, cookies- I usually eat about 1/3 and save the rest in the freezer. The Seaport location has been consistently less crowded than the original Newbury street location when I have popped by which just makes it feel more accessible- but both are very nice. They have been offering more fresh-baked bread/rolls and a couple of sandwiches including this delicious butter &jam baguette. Both locations I have been to are small, mostly in and out, but the Seaport location has a few counter area/high chair spots to enjoy the treat onsite. They are also doing bread and some nice-looking savory sandwiches now... several people were there buying the fresh Boules which you can ask to have sliced. Levain is worth the hype and is a great special treat or speciality gift you can get wrapped up in a nice box. Check it out! read more

I finally had the opportunity to bite into the infamous LEVAIN cookie. I ordered a Caramel Coconut Chocolate Chip Cookie and it was everything everyone said it was. Crunchy on the outside, moist and soft on the inside. It had the right amount of caramel and coconut so you knew you weren't just eating a chocolate chip cookie. The service was great as it was served perfectly warm as if it just came out of the oven and not sitting out. There's enough chairs and tables to sit and chat. I've loved Levain since going to their New York City locations years ago. I'm glad that they are thriving in Boston. I usually get their chocolate chip walnut or the oatmeal raisin. All of their cookies are huge! They look like rocks, but they are soft and gooey on the inside. The only downside is that I can never finish a whole one and it seems like a waste. Another location for Levain's cookies popping up in seaport! I was glad to come during their soft opening period and was pleasantly surprised. Compared to their Newbury location, this one is bigger, maybe double the size and has a few bench seating spots to enjoy your cookie or to warm up with some hot chocolate. The service is quick and the decor on the walls is nice. I got a peppermint chocolate cookie and my friends got their hot chocolate to help escape the cold. The cookie was not only huge, but soft and chocolately. I'd recommend getting a few cookies to try and sharing them with someone. Super cute stop in the Seaport. Amazing cookies! Ordered two, chocolate chip walnut and coconut caramel chip-the coconut was the winner. After paying I inquired about the cookie of the month-coffee toffee....the employee said he would throw one in the bag for free to try! Much appreciated seeing these are $6 cookies! They have breads, coffee drinks and other beverages too. I will try the bread next time. The other cookies are in a bag on my kitchen counter and every time you walk in you get a whiff of cookies.
