This was my first time here but I believe one of the other person in my group had been here prior. It's not a vineyard, only a tasting room just outside Paso Robles. We called to say that we were running a little behind which they were ok with. When we arrived, we were the only one there. The property itself isn't that big. Somewhat of an industrial area. A cute little seating area on the patio followed by a cozy lounge area and then you have the tasting counter. There's also the barrel room area which I believe your allowed tasting in as well but seemed more for an event. Which one was either happening that evening or the following day. The gentleman working was the sweetest. Welcomed us and took very good care of us. Explained the wine which is always a must. I'm more of a red drinker but some of their whites were excellent. Oh, the bubbles to begin with was great. It's more of a mom and pop place but tasty. During our tasting, people did start to arrive which was nice and I believe the owners were there as well. Preparing for the event happening later. The pours were great and the wine was quite nice. The whole experience was very fun. Compared to the other wineries which are pretty massive. We came here on a whim bc it's so close to our camping spot (Cava Robles). It doesn't look as impressive outside as it does on the inside. The parking was a little tight. However, worth it!! Barbara was our hostess, she was very knowledgeable and helpful. She knows a lot about wine & the local spots in PR. We ordered 2 charcuterie boards for our table of 8. Omg! Love the delicious wines here! So glad I took a chance stopping here. My husband said he'd take me to ONE winery on our way home for some wine tasting... so I definitely wanted to make it a good one. One I never been to before (looking for a yummy wine tasting was on the forefront before anything else). So I got on Yelp and looked up near by wineries & reviews... and chose this one. As we arrived, it looked like it was kind of an industrial area, not your typical beautiful wine vineyard mansion on acres a beautiful country vineyard hills... just a cute little quaint tasting room with some excellent yummy wines. Anyhow I'm so glad I chose this place for my one stop before heading home. The wines here are delicious and definitely well worth the stop if you're looking for something special that you will not find anywhere else but here. And Debbie my wine tasting hostess was the best, love love love... as well as the cute tasting room. If you are looking for a fun, family-owned boutique winery with EXCELLENT wines, then look no further. They pride themselves on their relationships with their customers, something they can accomplish due to lower production (vs. some of the big and more impersonal corporate-run wineries in the area). Their staff are friendly and accommodating, while their tasting room evokes that unique and intimate experience only a boutique winery like this can offer. They have a variety of little seating groups, in addition to a long bar for lively interactions with staff and other visitors. They are SO accommodating that they offer specialized wine club packages, such as Zinfandel only offerings. And while they do make AMAZING Zins and other reds, their white and sparkling wines are delicious too...even this confirmed Zin fan recently bought their reserve Chardonnay (and I usually never like this varietal--but theirs is lovely). Such a cute spot. If you are ever in Paso Robles and want to go to a smaller winery highly recommend Brochelle. It is smaller compared to the bigger vineyards around. They do have limited seating. You can make a reservation prior to going. I did since I went on a weekend that another vineyard near by was having an event. Glad I did since it was a bit busier than other days. When I went it was their Zen Fest 2024 so their tasing menu was limited. One of their pairings came with a small portion of Paella, which was really delicious. Their tastings were really good. Their Zin was my favorite. All their workers were really sweet and knowledgeable about the owners and the wine. Love it when they know. Also when I see they enjoy their job. What an absolute delight! My parents have been ordering cases of Brochelle Zinfandel for the past 10+ years (always a special occasion treat when they'd open a bottle to share) and we finally made it out to visit the tasting room. We were early to our reservation, but were greeted warmly by the wonderful Angela who had us take a seat by the fireplace and get comfortable while she finished up with another couple at the bar. Angela walked us through the tastings one at a time, and we loved every single sip we had. We spent over an hour there, chatting and laughing with Angela while she detailed the wines, the history of the winery and owners, and her connection to the family. Incredible experience! We knew we would like it b/c we met the wonderful owners, Brock and Michelle, a couple of weeks before visiting BROCHELLE (their ZIN and CHARDONNAY are so good!) We walked in on a Saturday around 12:45 thinking we would stay about an hour (on our way to Pismo for the weekend). However, we were in for a couple of hours of wine tasting, fun and friends!!! Melissa was an amazing host, really new her history about the vineyard and wines which I appreciated. She leads her tastings with a lot of heart and passion, if you're in the area please make this spot your priority to visit. It's a little bit hard to find because it's in a business area where you wouldn't expect it to be but it's so nice inside, they have a bar and couch seating area if you'd like to be more comfy or are with a party. Their Zin is AMAZING I had to get two one from their 2022 and one from 2023 in a growler, how unique is that? I've never been to a tasting where they have wine on tap. We've been coming to Brochelle Winery for a few years now, and it's always been one of our favorite stops in Paso. The wine is consistently amazing -- smooth, full of flavor, and clearly made with care. The tasting room has such a cozy, intimate vibe that makes you want to stay and chat over another pour (or two!). That said, this visit felt a little different. Deborah, who has been our sommelier for the past few years, was such a huge part of what made Brochelle special to us. She had this way of bringing the whole experience to life -- warm, funny, and so passionate about the wine. We were genuinely bummed to learn she's no longer there. This time we had Sean, who was very friendly, polite, and knowledgeable about the wines. He gave great descriptions and recommendations, though his style was a bit more reserved compared to Deb's high-energy personality. We still loved the wine and the overall experience -- Brochelle never disappoints in that department. It just felt like something was missing without Deborah's familiar presence. We'll definitely keep coming back for the incredible wine and relaxed atmosphere, but we'll always miss the sparkle she brought to our visits. read more

Went here while on our little trip with a group of friends. We reserved ahead of time and were seated at the back where all the barrels were. It was cold but we were cozy as they seated us all in such a small space lol They even gave us blankets which I thought was super sweet. The lady that helped us was great. She was informative, funny, and entertaining. We might've spent more time here than the other places we visited during our trip. We even got an extra pour of a wine they had open. Brochelle was recommended to us by some locals while visiting another winery after noting we liked big reds. Brochelle, named for its two owners, Brock and Michelle, delivered just those. The tasting room is located in an industrial complex. Though it may seem like you're in the wrong spot, you'll find some signs guiding you to the tasting room to let you know that you're on the right track. Once you arrive you're greeted by a big sign for the winery and an enclosed outdoor tasting patio, then through the doors to the swanky and upscale tasting room. We were the only two customers inside and opted to sit at the bar. We were helped by both Shelby and Rachel, who were great hosts and super fun to chat with! We chatted with them throughout the entire tasting and got some more recs for the weekend from them too! We enjoyed most of the wines that we tasted. My favorites were the Cab and Zin, and ended up coming home with a bottle of the 2019 cab. read more

I got a delightful gift when my son shipped me a mixed case of Brochell wines recently. Wife & I had a condo in Oxnard before she passed, and we visited Paso, joined the wine club, attended several of their annual events and enjoyed their wonderful fellowship not to mention the superb quality of their wines. On one occasion while visiting Paso we got to observe the bottling process as well as stumbling into a hot air balloon festival. Brock and Michelle are such a delight to know and such wonderful hosts. They can be justly proud of their wines. I have found none better. They offer a splendid variety of fine wines. This is an intimate, pleasant venue with a long history in Paso. We enjoyed the ambience at the fireside with our family visiting for Christmas, and the outdoor area looked inviting for warmer weather. Our wine steward was pleasant and positive. Wine tasting is very subjective - we found the wines pleasant but not exceptional. Overall, a nice place to try, especially if you don't want to veer too far off highway 46. read more
