Huge thanks to that goes to our host, Tamara. She was an absolute delight! Our glasses were never empty and she was just such a funny, quirky host. About halfway through our flight, she took us downstairs for the cave tour. Wow, what a stunner! Such a unique touch to this winery. The other incredible thing is that Eberle doesn't charge for tastings so you might as well pick up a bottle or two :)

The history alone is enough to get you through the door, but the wine is what keeps you there. Pair the tasting with all the stories behind the winery, and it's easily one of the more interesting experiences in Paso. The staff is also incredibly friendly and makes you feel welcome from the moment you walk in. The patio is a beautiful spot to taste, and if you're there later in the day, the sunset views are hard to beat. Definitely do the free cave tour while you're there. It's one of the coolest winery tours I've been on. The caves are a massive labyrinth carved into the hillside and naturally stay around 55 degrees year round, which is where they age a lot of their wine before bottling. Even if you've been to a lot of wineries, this is something a little different. At the time I'm writing this, tastings are still complimentary, which is almost unheard of these days. If you go, do them a favor and leave with a bottle or two. That's how places like this are able to keep offering experiences like this, and honestly, you'll probably want to take some wine home anyway.

The staff has that rare ability to make you feel like a regular, even on your first visit. Genuine smiles, easy conversation, and hospitality that never feels rehearsed. The interior is a designer's dream--warm, layered, a little smoky, and filled with interesting textures that invite you to slow down and look around. Truth be told, I originally wandered in as a location scout for Alchemyic Artisan, but I happily stayed for the bubbles and the ambiance. And if the moon happens to be in the right mood, you may have the pleasure of meeting Melane'... an intuitive with an infectious spirit who occasionally appears to be quietly crocheting while waiting for the next spiritual download to arrive. If you're lucky enough to have her read your tarot cards, lean in. Whether you're a believer or simply curious, she's an absolute delight. Come for the Champagne. Stay for the conversation. Leave inspired. A must-stop for anyone who appreciates great wine, thoughtful design, and places with genuine soul.

It's one of those places I genuinely enjoy coming back to. I especially want to recognize Anthony, who has consistently provided exceptional customer service every time I've visited. Whether it's busy or slow, whether you're a regular or a first-time visitor, he treats everyone with the same level of warmth, professionalism, and hospitality. Employees like Anthony are a big part of what keeps customers coming back. Jenny and Abby have also always been friendly, welcoming, and a pleasure to interact with. Unfortunately, my experience has not been as consistent with everyone. My first experience with Sean was excellent, but on later visits I noticed a significant difference in his customer service when he wasn't directly serving me. The friendliness and attentiveness I experienced initially seemed to be missing, which left me feeling unwelcome. The reason I'm sharing this feedback is because consistency matters. Great hospitality should be extended to all guests, regardless of who is serving them. Serial Wine Room has so much going for it, and with more consistent customer service across the team, it would make the experience even better. I share this as constructive feedback because I truly enjoy supporting local businesses and want to continue recommending Serial Wine Room to others.

Our first stop when we arrived in Paso. We've been to so many wineries, this would be one of our top 10. The spice pairing is unique but pairs so well with the wine. Buy 3 bottles to waive the fee. Since it's more of boutique, the bottles are quite pricey, mostly ranging near the 100s. But it was our favorite the whole weekend we went there. And we bought 6 bottles. We loved the spell and got 3 bottles of that! It's a Syrah cab blend. Has the Paso flavor that we love. It's not a vineyard, just a tasting room but worth a visit. We met the wine maker too. Friendly and attentive service. Can't wait to pop open a bottle at home soon!

Everyone got the chance to hold each bird with a gloved hand. We met Bug, the calm and irresistibly cute mini owl; Jack, the Eurasian Eagle Owl, surprisingly heavy and full of personality (though not thrilled about being passed back to his handler); Goose, the chatty falcon who was charming but preferred not to be touched; and Ranger, the hawk, who stole the show. We loved sending Ranger out and calling him back with a treat--though he did swoop down and land on my head once (thankfully, I had a hat on!). After all the bird encounters, we wrapped up with a wine tasting at Via Vega Winery. It was the perfect way to end a unique, unforgettable experience.

A small bummer at the start was that we arrived before opening at 12PM and were waiting outside with several other guests. Someone unlocked the door, but no one let us know we could come in. About 4 minutes after 12, I tried the door and realized it was unlocked, though none of us had heard or seen it open. Not a huge deal, but a quick welcome would have been nice. After that, everything was fantastic. I love that Justin offers this tasting room separate from their main winery, which is several miles away. Having a location right in the downtown Paso Robles square is so convenient, especially being surrounded by shops and restaurants. I also really loved the setup with tables to sit at versus standing at a bar. They offer wine by the glass as well as different tasting flight options, and they also serve small bites. We heard there are different menus depending on the day, which is a nice touch. Our server greeted us quickly, brought water right away, and got our first tasting to us fast. She was very knowledgeable about the wines and did an excellent job explaining each one. Since we were in a bit of a hurry to catch a flight, she kindly brought all of our tastings out at once, clearly labeled, walked us through them, and let us enjoy at our own pace. We really appreciated that. Wish we had more time here. Highly recommend. Also, if you join their wine club, your tastings are complimentary, which is a great perk!

The lovely Popie provided us with exemplary service for our tasting! She walked us through the different varietals and clearly knew her stuff when it comes to wine and quality of the vintages. Her humor and conversation really made the time fly by. For tastings, I loved that you get to select your choice of 5 wines from their large selection. They have a big tv behind the bar area that you can request sports games on - we watched the World Cup game! The best part of our experience was engaging with the locals.
