They replaced my kitchen sink faucet and replaced my exterior silcock/faucet. They do quality work at fair prices.

We recently used Bill to fix a leak. Wow he showed up when he said, fixed it fast and charged a reasonable price. Very satisfied!

do not hire this company! They installed vents crooked. They left cigarette butts all over my lawn…read more They left exposed wires outside my house when they told me the job was complete. They also installed the entire HVAC unit backwards! They came back to do some boiler work and broke my boiler. I had to have another company come in and fix it and a year later they came in for annual service. (yes in hindsight I should've never let them in my house again.) and when they left my central AC unit was not working!

I made appt with Merrimack Valley Plumbing to replace leaking cartridges in my kitchen and 2…read morebathroom faucets. I have had this performed twice before by other plumbers in the past with no troubles. They arrived at my house with no understanding of the problem. I explained that the cartridges needed to be replaced and the lead plumber started talking about how "rebuilding" faucets was often more expensive than replacement. I told him that only the cartridges needed replacing and I had seen it done before. No he still insisted that we would need to rebuild it but that's ok, he could get me a Kohler that would be "just as good" as my custom Italian Rohl faucet even though it would not matched the others in my house. 30 minutes this went on. I called his supervisor and he told him to just replace the cartridges. I also asked to have the kitchen faucet removed from the counter so I could re-caulk the backsplash. He said ok and included the removal in the estimate. While he replaced the bathroom cartridges his assistant began to remove the kitchen faucet. When he could not remove it he asked for help. The lead plumber grasped the faucet by the spout and levered it back and forth to remove it. Ever since the faucet did not operate as before. There is now a 3-5 second delay before water flows and it dribbles for 10 sec. after shutting it off. Another plumber came to the house and diagnosed it as a bad aerator, but replacement did not fix the problem. He said he didn't know what to do but replace the fixture. I made arrangements for a warranty replacement of through Rohl so all that would be needed was the labor to replace the faucet. I was informed today that the release I signed absolved the workers of responsibility for any breakage that may occur when removing the faucet. To reiterate: Merrimack Valley Plumbing tried to sell me a new, un-needed faucet for 30 minutes then obviously manhandled the faucet to remove it from the counter and now say they are not responsible. I guess saving a few bucks on labor is more important than their reputation or pride in their workmanship.

We're a small collective that shares stories from freelance and contract workers who've been…read moretreated unfairly. This is one of those stories. A contractor was hired by this company to build a fully functional website on a rushed timeline. They were told they were the only person working on the project, and that the urgency was due to the company's former developer being in a legal dispute and planning to take down the live site by June 1st, 2025. The contractor dropped everything to help and finished the site two weeks before the deadline. Over the course of several weeks, the contractor even went to their office multiple times for meetings with the owner's son and other team members, working in good faith to move the project forward. After the work was done, it came to light that two or three other people were also working on the same site, despite the company claiming otherwise from the start. When the contractor followed up for payment, the owner's son who was the main point of contact allegedly said "My boy could do it for less than $1,000, so our initial agreement on price is gonna be a lot less now." He also added he was going on vacation in 15 days and "didn't have time to deal with it." All this while wearing an expensive Rolex. The contractor was told, "Send me the invoice I'll pay you for your time." The invoice was sent immediately, and the son followed up once more saying, "I'll get back to you." After that, he went completely silent no reply, no payment. The contractor was left dismissed and disrespected. The stress and anxiety from this on top of an existing heart condition led to serious mental and physical strain. Legal steps have since been taken. This post is meant to warn others if you're a freelancer, contractor, or subcontractor, be cautious. Get everything in writing, and don't ignore red flags. No one should be pressured, misled, ghosted, or lowballed after showing up, putting in the time, and delivering their end of the deal.
