First things first, you cannot beat the setting of this restaurant. We were seated at the bar overlooking the water, the mountains and the staff making our delicious food! We ordered the steamer clams for an appetizer and practically fought over the last of the sauce in the bottom of the bowl. I ordered the Creole dish which had a spicy tomato sauce with shrimp, scallops and clams. So good, the side of griddled bread worked well to swipe up the sauce! Husband had the Pan Roast - scallops and shrimp in a garlic butter cream sauce - my goodness. Once again the sauces that they make here 10/10. The seafood is all fresh, tender and cooked perfectly - definitely the best scallops I've ever enter in both dishes. If we were staying in Homer I would eat here every night because there were several other dishes we wanted to try. We took a strawberry rhubarb crem brûlée for the road and had it once our food was settled...another delicious dish. It was a meal I will not soon forget. read more

What a great cozy spot on the spit to have dinner. It can get very busy, so if you don't want a long wait I suggest coming earlier. The staff is friendly, you get to see them preparing the food over the counter. It was cool, if you can sit at the bar. The oysters were delish! They have ramen on their menu. Absolutely amazing views and the chefs are incredibly talented. The oysters are absolutely delicious. It's briny enough and the perfect bite size. Served with this locally made hot sauce which itself is a prize of its own. The seafood stew with rice and butter toast is delicately steamed and the clams were very tasty and the scallops were perfectly cooked. What an amazing Kodiak oyster you have. Took a day trip from the Kenai River Lodge to this magical spot on the Spit. The food was delicious and fast service, great beers on tap and wine list was exquisite. Happy we chose to stick around in the somewhat off season in October they open a bit later. Got our drinks and dozen oysters. Good size fresh oysters. After watching them make food we decided to eat here. Ordered the creole, pan roast, and shrimp and grits. Pan roast was great. Shrimp and scallops in a lobster citrus sauce. Creole was shrimp and scallops in a spicy tomato sauce. Both came with rice and toasted bread. They were delicious. Best oysters that I've had in a long time, ordered the farmed Kodiak oysters local to Alaska, best big deliciously sweet oysters that were sweet and slightly creamy. They also had pan roast that I also ordered even though I was super full I ate the whole bowl and half dozen of oysters. It was Amazing you also get to see an amazing ocean view, and sometimes can spot little sea animals. They are small a cute little bar but they also have some out door seating if you prefer more space. They have great local beers and draft! Highly recommended! read more

After our first visit, we ate here two more times in one week. If we were locals, this would be our spot to take any of our friends who were visiting the area. They don't just spit out the touristy fish and chips and halibut that is often subpar because places are catering to tourists. The menu is simple...amazing seafood done right. I think we tried just about everything they offer. The flavors were exceptional from the creole to the pan roast to the absolutely outstanding shrimp and grits. The peel and eat shrimp were to die for (such a simple dish that is often screwed up) and the fresh and baked oysters delivered on all points. The space is small and there will probably be a wait. Don't wimp out and decide to go to another place where you'll walk into a tourist trap. If you enjoy exceptional food cooked with skill and love, then you definitely won't go wrong here. The views of the bay from the windows are worth it themselves. This isn't your upscale fine dining experience. It's better than that in a totally different way. If you know and like great seafood and the care and preparation that goes into it with budget friendly prices, and you love the fact that the owner and staff work their butts off to deliver that to you, then you'll fall in love with this restaurant like we did. read more

This spot is an absolute gem that I almost hate to tell you about cause it's so small I may never be able to get seated in there again. We visited twice on a recent trip to Homer, and both times were fantastic. The oysters are distinctly great. From Kodiak which I'd never had before, and small to medium sized, with a deep cup and bit of briny flavor. The accompanying sauces were all really well done also. We also tried the clams, which isn't my go-to, but were solid, and my wife had the Pan Roast, which she absolutely loved. My spoonfuls of it supported her conviction. Lastly, I want to draw special attention to the dessert they had while we were there - a strawberry rhubarb creme brûlée, which was flat out awesome. I'd go back just for that. Beers and wines were great, service was friendly and knowledgable, and you can't beat the view. 10 out of 10. read more

We really enjoyed this place during our 4-day stay in Homer. The cajun pan roast was great and just enough food to be satisfying without feeling overstuffed. This business replaced the Homer Spit Ouster bar that was formerly located in the same space! They just opened in the beginning of July, and they're bringing the same passion to oysters as the former owner. I'm happy to see a new oyster bar be able to flourish in this space, and wish them great success. The owner, Ryan, was super cool and a pleasure to speak with. Customer service from him and his staff was excellent. He is very excited about this new venture, and the passion shows! They offer raw and cooked oysters. They had some really creative cooked oyster combos that were delicious! My favorite was the bacon, scallops, and Parmesan, but we also tried jalapeño & chorizo combo that was also tasty. They also serve other shellfish like mussels and had a few other menu options. I believe they will continue to expand on their menu in the future. The space is small, but has a great outdoor patio. They also serve beer & wine. This is definitely a must stop for fresh oysters while in Homer! You will never regret eating an oyster that was just harvested hours before! read more

Excellent wine pairing selection, we started with oyster bay Sauvignon Blanc paired with a half dozen raw oysters followed by Josh Pino Noir and the pan roast dish which is perfectly cooked shrimp and scallops in a lightly creamy fresh tomato base sauce accompanied by perfectly cooked rice and buttered toast. Finished with a decadent rhubarb creme brûlée which was absolute perfection. Not only was the food fantastic you can tell that the team works as a seamlessly coordinated machine. Wordlessly communicating with each other to provide impeccable service and perfectly cooked morsels. I wouldn't be surprised to see them featured in a Michelin guide.
