Boardwalk is a solid fish & chips located on the Homer Spit and has a great seating area with a view of Kachemak Bay. It is a stand to order - serve yourself drinks joint. They used to sell alcohol but do not have beer or wine the summer of 2025. Their clam strips are great. Their DILL SAUCE / TARTAR SAUCE is the BEST IN HOMER IMHO.

Best freshest halibut and cod!!! A must stop when visiting Homer. It has never disappointed.. you can absolutely tell it's fresh out of the ocean.

had Halibut at another restaurant on the spit but this is hands-down the best! It was so fresh tender, and juicy absolutely loved it here. If you wanna try halibut and Homer, this is the #1 place I would recommend!

Beautiful location with an ocean view, great staff, quick and no frills. Clam chowder was good, especially if you like dill. The halibut and chips were tasty and fresh...will definitely be back.

My brother recommended we get the halibut fish and chips when we visited the Homer Spit. You order at the counter and when ready, they deliver the food to your table. They have two local brews to choose from, some wine and soda. I got the halibut (market price was $27) and my husband got the cod fish and chips to compare. I definitely liked the halibut better, but it was quite pricey. The service was friendly and quick, the food was good and hot and the restaurant is clean.

Absolutely delicious!! We got 2 orders of halibut & chips & 2 orders of cod & chips. You cannot go wrong! Fries were crisp & plentiful. The fish was so delicious and flavorful. The breading was so good. We all were so happy and impressed with our meals- all left full. We also got a kids grilled cheese & fries. We will go back for sure!!

Best breading for fried fish we've ever had. We had the halibut and chips, shrimp and coleslaw. 10/10 spot for lunch, plenty of seating, and views of the water. Kind service, quick delivery and perfect portions. A must go spot for lunch!

Clam strips that were cooked within an inch of their life. DO NOT order these; they were like chewing leather.

Halibut was tasty, but not 26.00 tasty. Don't order anything else or you will get charcoal. Exhibit A, the clam strips below that were obviously left in the fryer too long but since it was close to closing time they chose to serve them anyway. Not pleased that our last experience in Homer was with some shoe leather strips masquerading as clams.

Fish and chips with a view!

Heard a rumor this was the best fish and chips in Alaska so decided to try it out. We were not disappointed! It is a little pricey (market price) BUT the food was perfect. The fish (we got halibut) was well seasoned and very crispy. Chips were tasty too! The location is great, a nice view of the water and mountains.

Wow!!! My mom was in the state visiting, and LOVED the halibut from the last time she visited. She ordered the halibut and chips and I ordered the cod and chips. I like how we order straight away then sit down; I feel like it's more efficient this way. There is window seating with great views and then outdoor seating. I thought the fish was great and I am not a fish kind of girl. Loved the waffle fries also. I ordered the white wine and it was good! I feel like the prices were reasonable, especially with how full I felt after I ate everything. Definitely bookmarking this place for when people come to visit and we take trips down to Homer. 5/5 for me!

Saw this place on our first afternoon in town and it was closed and looked kind of touristy. Went back the next day for lunch and the line was out the door and read some reviews and it said it was a great place to go. All the reviews are correct! This place has fantastic halibut and chips and a chowder. It's picnic seating so we smiled and sat with a lovely mother daughter combo that were in town from Fairbanks and just finishing up their meal. Parking is on the street out front and bathrooms are in good shape

We stopped here while walking down the spit. It was quick and easy ordering. Grabbed a picnic table. I had the halibut fish and chips and they were dynamite. I would eat here anytime.

Fun, touristy, good food, and healthy sized portions. Beer selection is a bit thin but a cold beer and hot halibut chunks satisfies.

We met the Water Taxi around 5PM and started the trip across the bay..it's about 20 minutes and truly beautiful! The boat pulls up on the beach and you walk up a small trail to the restaurant. Now we had about 20 diners on the boat so this joint went from having one guy at the bar to like 6-7 tables all of the sudden.. they couldn't handle it at all. We waited about 20 minutes for drinks that just sat at the bar. Appetizers were ready before we got drinks. I know it's ALASKA but this just seemed off for a place of this caliber.. no manager on the floor or anything? Started with some appetizers that looked amazing but fell flat on execution, very little flavor at all. We all got entrees and again everything sounded great in description but had very little flavor; Halibut was barely luke warm but was plated beautifully! We tried all kinds of drinks and they were fine and they had a great whiskey I really liked. Dessert offerings were pretty weak so we just tried a Chocolate Mousse that was not good at all with some Espresso's that were served warm not hot? To be honest the place operated like they had just opened for business.. the waiter never asked how anything was just running thru the motions! Very pricey but the restaurant and location is absolutely beautiful. Talk Later
