There is a bar as well as booth seating but no direction or indication of waiting to be seated or seating yourself. I didn't want to go unnoticed so I sat at the bar. (Most of the tables are past the entry way and bar area). There was a family group, a few couples and a group of guys playing darts off to the side. I sat there for more than five minutes before I was even acknowledged. I know this because I could see the Guinness Countdown to St Patrick's Day (down to the second) from my seat. There were 3 girls behind the bar but one seemed to be doing most of the bar work. As I put on my jacket to leave, I finally had the attention of one of the girls so I decided to take my chances and stick with my dinner plan. She got me a menu and asked for my drink order. There weren't any hard ciders on tap but they did have canned Awestruck (local). I noticed the fried pickle appetizer and asked her about it. She told me they were spears and very popular. I decided to take her recommendation and ordered them, along with a Cooley's Handmade Burger with sautéed mushrooms and swiss cheese. My pickle fries came out first since they were an app and I can tell you two things about them...the portion was huge and they were absolutely the best I've ever had! Not long afterward, my burger arrived and that was really tasty as well. I opted to bring the rest of my pickles home and I can tell you that even the next day, with the help of the air fryer, they were still tasting great! I am so glad I stayed!

Just make sure you get a sandwich everything fresh and delicious.Places come and go but Kelleys have been here the longest in Middleburgh, also Good Earth another store in town used to love to go to. Christmas eve would always do my Christmas shopping after a few beers and the owners were really nice people probably one of the oldest stores that stayed in business until 2020 . Three floods the last one did them in, but moved up town to a really great location,no floods. A lot more parking and a really fun place to go exploring. Those were the good old days! On our most recent visit, however, it was the service that was horrible. We didn't get the server that we often have, but we were willing to give a different server a chance. She. Was. Horrible. It took more than 15 minutes to get our soup and salad! My husband had to flag down the hostess to ask for a refill on my water, TWICE. The server never asked if I would like a refill and my meal was buffalo chicken!! As a matter of fact she never asked me anything, only my husband. "How's your meal?". "Would you like another drink (twice)?". "Do you need a carry out container?". All directed at only him. Then, to top it all off, she didn't come back to the table for a solid 10 minutes once we got our containers. She had us, one table that needed their order taken and a third table that was still looking at menus and she was flustered. Once we finally did see her she asked if we wanted anything else, again speaking directly to my husband! He said "Just the check, please." And here comes the best part, we watched her get drinks for her third table, take orders at the second table and walk by us at least six times. We waited nearly 15 minutes for her to bring the check. It was ridiculous. As I said, the food was good, at best. The service horrendous. Usually the food is nothing to write home about but the service is good. This visit was just BAD. We live less than a mile from this restaurant and still only go 2-3 times a year. That number will go down even more now.
