All I have to say is looks can be deceiving. I did NOT want to go in this place but I'm glad I did. The bartender was awesome, the beer selection was great, and the band playing was... well it was a band anyways. Haha! The place is divey but in great fashion. DA is my new jam next time I visit Saratoga for work.

Everyone's music selection was sick. It's a death metal kinda place. 10/10 will go again

Just about as good as any local, college town dive bar can get. Cheap cold beer. Loud music. Crowded. What's not to love?

As one of the oldest operating bars in Saratoga Springs, it has been around since the 70's. Apparently many musical greats used to hang out here after gigs. If you skim through some of the Yelp reviews of Tin 'n' Lint - you'll find accounts of those that used to patronize this spot back in the day. It's obviously done something right throughout the years. Today it's a welcoming spot for local regulars and passerbys. It is a simple straightforward bar that isn't trying to be anything that it's not. The booths and tables are etched with names and memories. The walls are lined with old photos. It's brimming with historical captures of fond happy times - and of people coming together. Tin 'n' Lint proved to be a ideal spot for catching up with some of my husband's friends from the area a number of weeks back. Snagging a spacious booth was easy and there was never a wait to order drinks. The jukebox would intermittently play a diverse array of tunes throughout our time here, and we watched a number of people playing pool. I appreciated that this cozy spot was well lit - allowing for solid people watching and enabling you to easily catch up with friends and/or potentially make new ones. Be prepared to encounter a number of interesting attendees during your time here. We ended up meeting quite a few during our time here. Also be sure to bring cash - since it is cash only. If you want a non pretentious bar with history and regulars - Tin 'n' Lint is your spot. Trust.

This is not the case here - all of the food we had was made in house, and you could taste the difference. The beer battered fries had a thin flaky coating that made them irresistible. The buffalo calamari was cooked perfectly, piled up, and topped with blue cheese crumbles and green onion. Don't even get us started on the boneless wings... also, the ranch and blue cheese dip were out of this world. Guess what? HOME MADE. We came here to watch a Sabres game, since we heard there were a ton of TVs to watch the games. And we ended up being surprised with a fantastic dinner and great service. What a great night.

The place definitely has a sports bar vibe…read more I opted for the Calamari (West Side Original Recipe!) which as flour dusted calamari, scallion, cherry peppers, balsamic glaze reduction, parmesan cheese for $18. Honestly, they had a ton of potential, but they didn't deliver. The calamari was soggy instead of crispy. The balance of other items was pretty off. It looked pretty, but didn't taste good. The calamari was bitter in addition to being soggy. The balsamic glaze added a sweetness, but it wasn't offset by enough salty/spicy. It was served with a tomato sauce that didn't go well with the toppings. It was an odd dish. If it wasn't so late, I might have actually sent it back (which I do probably once every 10 years). Fresher, crispy and less bitter calamari might have been enough to fix the balance. My dinner companion had a sandwich with a bun, lettuce, apple slice, fried chicken, cheese, and bacon. I think it might have been a special. It was ok. It came with Saratoga chips, which is why we picked the restaurant. We wanted to get Saratoga chips in Saratoga. Unfortunately, they were hard and cold and bland. Lots of TVs. Service was meh. I felt like they were put out for serving us. There's a good bar vibe. If I were to eat there again, I would go for beer and wings.

I was looking for a restaurant to go when we were in Saratoga Springs in this restaurant looked…read morelike it had a really good menu so we decided to go there. I requested to sit at the chef's table because I really do like to see what's going on in the kitchen and our reservation is at 7:15 and we arrived a half hour early and we're able to be sat so that was nice. We were greeted by one of the servers in the restaurant and then shortly after another came by and asked if we wanted still or sparkling water and that our server would be there with us in a second. It took a little bit longer for our server to come by and he took our drink orders. The line chef started to realize that our server was taking quite a while so we asked us what he wanted him to start so that he can relay it to our server when he got around to us, and I thought that was very nice and great that he recognized that we were waiting for quite a while. Our server finally came back with our drinks and asked what we wanted to get started and we told him that they already started our appetizers. He also didn't come back for quite a while after that and he finally asked us what we wanted for dinner and he didn't ask how the food was or anything. He just said OK cool and put in our food order. When we got our actual entrée, I had the New York strip steak and my husband had the scallops and they were very good. We ordered those entrées because the line chef said they were good and we wouldn't be disappointed and we were not. Our server finally came back around after everyone else buster plates and asked if we wanted anything for dessert and we already made up our mind what we wanted. I ordered the coconut rice pudding and my husband ordered the pistachio cheesecake. Both of those were also very good highly recommend them if you have room at the end of your meal. Our server then came back with our bill and just randomly said he took off one of our desserts because of the weight which was nice but he didn't really acknowledge anything else. We thought it was very odd but also we were happy about that. This restaurant was very good and I think the staff is very in tuned to what's going on in the restaurant if something is not as it should and they communicate to others if they need to start food for people or accommodate other people's needs so that's the only reason that I'm giving it a 4 because the server we had wasn't great but the food and everything else was awesome.

Floor by floor: Ground level is very sports bar vibe, plus some decent live music. But we were looking to dance so up one floor we go and it's still very chill. Easy to get drinks at this bar and plenty of room to hang out at a table for a bit. Next floor up had pong tables set up (skip to 12 AM and this was the club/dance floor) and then you have the rooftop! This had a $5 cover but was well worth it to have some fresh air along with good vibes. The bars were never crowded and we never had any trouble getting a drink. Sure, the floors were sticky, bathrooms were gross and drinks were absolutely watered down, but we jumped around to a few different spots that night and this place was 100% the best. If you find yourself here, don't think the grass is greener elsewhere. Sit tight, dance, move to the different floors and enjoy. If you leave, even with a stamp, you'll inevitably find yourself back in the lonnggggg line wishing you stayed put.

I've never once been yelled at so harshly. It was the worst experience of our life. I've never been screamed at with such rage in my entire life, it was absolutely terrifying.
