We thought we'd picked up a dependable car, a 2013 Nissan Altima. We found out afterwards it needed quite a bit of work, including a catalytic converter. We called one shop in Las Vegas and were given a ridiculous quote for the converter. Passion Auto was our next choice and the quotes for the various services were spot on with what my research showed they should be. I asked them why didn't they tell me it was leaking before they fixed my gas blank they told me nothing was wrong with it before but now it is. How?? I only drove it less than 10miles! Just a really small feature that makes you feel taken care of in a business that is often frustrating and can be predatory.) They're not in this business just to prey on issues that "pop up" when you take your car in for something unrelated. If there is a mistake on their end (because let's admit it, we are human, mistakes can and very well could happen!) they will go out of their way to fix their mistake, own up to it, and do what they can to be open and honest with their customer about the situations. I recently took in an Audi A3 (if you know anything about German automotives, you know how much time and work they take for the simplest things and not all mechanics have the capability or tools to work on them) and when they found out it had an issue that was - in reality - not a very fixable one, they really talked me through the issue and what their opinion on what the best direction to take was. It wasn't the option that made them money. It was the option that helped me in the long run. I did end up having to purchase a new car, but you know that they'll be the first ones I take my new one to for anything and everything!
