Final price

I previously used a Groupon here for an alignment, which is likely how I ended up on their text marketing list. Recently, I received a text from them offering a 20% discount on any service. Since my Honda Pilot needed crankshaft and camshaft seals replaced--and I already had a competing quote for $550--I called Nevada Auto Center to see if they could beat it. On 5/15, I called and the gentleman on the phone quoted me $300+ for one seal or $530 for both. When I mentioned the 20% text discount, he agreed to honor it and said he'd note it in the system. He mentioned they only take walk-ins, so I dropped my vehicle off this morning. I explained the situation to both the employee who met me outside and the younger gentleman at the front desk. They took my information and promised a free inspection before starting the work. While waiting 30 minutes for my Lyft, the waiting room emptied out. The staff seemingly forgot I was still there. I overheard a manager/lead in the back telling a technician to inspect a car and "check all fluids, brakes... everything. I'm going to charge him for everything." It immediately set off red flags that they manipulate inspections to overcharge customers. Sure enough, I received a digital estimate later that afternoon. Not only did they try to change the original price and tack on massive markups ($80 for a basic $20 part) and completely throw out the 20% discount they promised, but they also tried to tell me my oil pan gasket was leaking. I am 1000% sure there is absolutely no leak from the oil pan gasket, this was a completely manufactured upsell just to inflate the bill. If they made a mistake on the initial phone quote, they should have told me upfront during check-in. Instead, they wasted my entire day, forcing me to pay for rideshare services back, only to bait-and-switch the pricing. This shop uses Groupons and "free inspections" as bait to get your keys, only to invent urgent repairs and inflate prices once they have your car. There is zero integrity or honesty here. If you use a Groupon here for a quick oil change or smog, just sit in the waiting room and watch their predatory sales tactics for yourself. Avoid this place if you value honesty.

This is not an OEM fuel pump as promised on the warranty work.

Nearly $800 and my car still isn't running correctly or safely. I had my Lexus towed in and was told that I needed a fuel pump. I suspected this and gave permission for the job right away. When I received the car back it smelled so strongly of gasoline I could not roll the windows up. I have had fuel pumps done on other vehicles and never smelled gas after the job. The manager assured me this was "normal" and to let it air out. I had to let is sit out in my driveway with the windows down for nearly 2 days before the smell went away. The same manager told me that my car would be put in the garage each night while they had it. It was not. That was the first lie. Less than a week later the car experienced the same symptoms and the car was returned for warranty work. This time, I was told they would use an OEM fuel pump and not an aftermarket one. The manager told me he had already had already purchased the pump and I could drop the car off anytime. I would be out of town for 10 days, so I turned that offer down. I knew they'd leave my car outside the whole time so preferred to wait. Once I was back in town I brought it in on a Monday and was told it would be done Tuesday. I was then called a day or so later and said they were still "waiting for the part from the dealer." Funny since they had previously told me they already had the part (lie 2.) I asked him about this and made up an excuse/lie. My car sat outside for 3-4 days this time. They also never gave me a courtesy call when they were done. I got the car back and it starts exhibiting the same symptoms almost immediately. Failure to start and stumbling engine. The vehicle was not safe to drive. I had it towed to a more reputable shop who told me what really happened. Nevada Auto did not use an OEM replacement on the warranty work. The wires were spliced together to fit the aftermarket part. (If it was OEM, all the connectors would fit and no splicing required.) Secondly they used the old fuel filter and screen when putting in the new fuel pump (although they charged me for the kit.) Items that could have caused the issue in the first place. My guess is that nothing was done for the warranty work and they just held my car for a few days. This shop was dishonest and their work so poor they returned a car that was downright dangerous to drive. It could stall out and leave my family in a deadly situation. Or worse the poorly spliced together fuel pump could be a fire hazard. My child sits in the backseat, which is located right over the recklessly installed fuel pump. This was a pristine car with all service records since day one. There are no excuses. Just none. Don't use these guys.

Dirty filter they left in place/reused.

The radiator fans they forgot to reconnect.

I went in for an alternator replacement while I was visiting town for my kids tournament. I was assisted by the shop manager Alex who was helpful . Work was complete in a timely manner and went on my way back to the hotel. Next day ( Saturday ) went to my kids event short distance , drove back to the hotel also short distance. When unloading my vehicle the engine compartment was steaming and spewing out radiator fluid . Opened up the hood after a few minutes and upon inspection realized the radiator fans were disconnected. They were disconnected when the alternator was replaced , and the mechanic forgot to reconnect . Which caused it to overheat. The shop was closed until Monday so I took my vehicle to Zip Zap Auto to check and make repairs to the cooling system to get me back on my trip home on that Sunday . This cost me additional money , time and most importantly missing my kids game . I called the shop on Monday and spoke with Alex to request them to cover the costs of the additional repairs . He was apologetic and suggested to me to email the higher management offices . Multiple emails and a call back to Alex and as expected NO return of any emails or calls . ( Email address was double checked and verified) and no nothing in the junk mail folder as well. I was hoping to give them the opportunity to remedy the error but management is playing the no reply game . So now it's onto a dispute , reviews and BBB contact . My opinion is I would avoid and not support any business that cannot own up to mistakes they made . Hopefully this review will help make you reconsider getting service done by this establishment and seek work elsewhere.

I hired him for four things. The first problem - my car smells badly of gas. He changed the gasket on the fuel pump that is under the backseat. My car still smells like gas. The check engine light was on. And my car sort of starts up slowly. He put the diagnostic tool on the car and it told him to change the thermostat. So I bought the thermostat. He replaced it. Unfortunately, The check engine light is still on, and my car still does not start up normally. It takes turning over many times to start. The third thing I hired him to do was to fix the car vibrating when you hit the brakes at higher speed. I test drove it after he finished the work, but I guess I did not bring it up to high enough speed to feel it vibrate. He basically lubricated the brakes and he said that should take care of the problem. But it did not take care of the problem and the car still vibrates. He claims that he did good work because he lubricated the brakes. But he did not fix the problem. The fourth thing I heard was change the rear camera. That works. one of the three things that I hired him to do, does work better. Now he's over here arguing with me that he did all this work. But he can't seem to understand that he didn't actually fix three of the four problems have. Basically, I paid him almost $500 to do a bunch of work that solved almost none of the problems that I was having with my car. Somehow he feels justified that he actually did some work so he feels like he earned his money. But I didnt hire him to do random work, I hired him to fix problems. He does not seem to understand that.

The owner came to our home and fixed our brakes. He came as promised and delivered. We are now back…read moreon the road again. Thank you so much for helping us. I will definitely call him again to fix the other vehicle's brakes. I will tell everyone about his excellent work.
