recently dined at Bronco in Spartanburg and unfortunately left disappointed. We ordered the fajitas for two. While there was plenty of meat, the sides (rice, beans, tortillas, etc.) were portioned more like they were meant for one person, which made the meal feel unbalanced. We also ordered an appetizer, but it was brought out at the exact same time as our main meal. That made it hard to enjoy it as an appetizer, and since our table space was already limited, everything felt overcrowded and rushed. The seating was also an issue. Our booth seat was broken -- when I slid slightly to one side, it suddenly released and tilted, and I almost fell onto the floor. I caught myself, but it definitely made the experience uncomfortable. Our server seemed very busy, which may have contributed to slow service. We had difficulty getting drink refills, and after finishing our meal, we waited quite a while just to ask for the check. The drinks themselves were smaller and seemed to have less alcohol than what you typically get at other local Mexican restaurants, yet the prices were similar. Overall, it felt like you get less for the same cost elsewhere. There are several solid Mexican restaurant options in Spartanburg, and based on this experience, I would recommend trying one of those before choosing Bronco. read more

I've often said that Mexican food is proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy! Growing up in California Mexican food is part of life. It always sounds wonderful and you can never get too much. When we moved across the country I was concerned I would have to leave my love for Mexican food behind, especially moving to a small town. Enter Bronco's! The dishes are somewhat different than what we are used to (mostly the queso blanco on many things) but we love the fresh delicious food. Every time I go I have to get the guacamole Azteca. It's fresh and full of flavor. The carnitas Mexicano is amazing and the tacos carne asada are reminiscent of California street tacos. I have eaten at many Latino restaurants in my day, and I must say that Broncos is one of the best classic Mexican restaurants I have been to. The food is excellent and the menu has a wide variety of choices and the wait staff is very friendly and attentive, and the location is kept very clean. l highly recommend this restaurant for those who wish to experience authentic Mexican food at reasonable prices. read more

We decided to try the new Broncos in Spartanburg. We are so very glad that we did. The place was cozy, inviting, and clean!!!! It was bright and airy! We were greeted promptly. The food was fast, hot and delicious! We are definitely returning. It was fresh and the quantity for the price was spot on for us. The one thing - they really need to serve their salsa in larger bowls. I hope you come and have the same kind of experience that we had. read more

Okay on the way back home from Myrtle Beach was getting hungry . Found this place lookin at Yelp and boy was we surprised . We had lunch that was amazing and the margaritas were the best we've ever had and we only ordered the house . Bronco Mexican at Main Street is the best Mexican restaurant I've ever eaten at. My experience spans both Baja and Tapatio restaurants from Florida to Washington state. First, their free salsa is the most flavorful and least watery I've ever had. It was delicious. Next, we wanted to try their guac and their queso. The Guacamole was great! It was fresh and super tasty. It's mild show everyone will be able to eat it, but we'd have preferred it with a handful of jalapenos, a little more salt, and some lime. The queso was also proper queso fresco and was not watered down or thinned with cream! Again, it's mild for everyone, and I'd have preferred it with jalapeno. But it was GREAT nonetheless! Our entrees were pollo fundido and steak fajitas. The pollo fundido was again, the best we've ever had. The chicken reminded us of Sunday dinner in the country with its savory goodness and fall apart tenderness. The fajitas were amazing, too. Aside from the steak being tender and juicy, the refritos and rice that accompanied the meat was better than any place I've had it before. I never eat it by itself, but this was yummy enough for me to grab a few forks full. To end it all, we ordered the churros for dessert. I already didn't get a picture, they were that good. Four mouth watering pieces were served and I barely remembered to take a photo of the last one! Totally yummy! Bronco Mexican Restaurant is a gem of a find in Spartanburg. We stopped by after a baseball game, the wait staff was very friendly and offered suggestions since it was our first time visiting Broncos. I had the Baja Rice bowl with chicken and my husband had the Texas fajitas. The ingredients were fresh, well seasoned and the portions were generous. We will definitely be back! read more

First I'd like to say that this review is purely for this specific location. I had some of the worst customer service I've ever had. For starters, we didn't get our drinks until our entrees came out, so we were thirsty the whole time eating the chips and salsa. We also asked 2 different people if they could bring us our drinks way before we got our entree. It wasn't until we got our food and asked again. Then, when we got the drinks, there was no ice in them. I get that the ice machine was broke, but they didn't say anything about that. I also ordered cheese dip and did not receive it until the entree came. Also, 2 servers (ours and another) were both yelling at BOH in front of everyone. It was very uncomfortable. The food was mediocre (besides the salsa, that was very good!). This place just needs some more help I think from management since it's a newer location. I know all the other ones do quite well. Also, we saw our server 3 times, once when we ordered, then when we got our food and finally drinks, and then when we asked for the bill. And they were not busy so it didn't make much sense to me.
