Delicious food, quick service. Plenty of seating and entertainment including pool tables and a bar. Underrated spot give it a chance :)

I had been hearing about this place for a while and decided to finally give it a try. First of all the interior is huge and open with plenty of seating and very clean. K wasn't sure what to expect as far as food options but was super excited to see papusa's! I tried my usually 3 - chicken and cheese, beans and cheese, chicharrone and cheese. They were all delicious! And that slaw was AMAZING! I cannot wait to go back and try other things!

This is a really nice place. It is decorated very well. The bar looks jazzy and it has pool tables in the back room. We were seated quickly but seemed to wait longer than usual for service. We weren't given silverware or straws. Lol. The lack of straws is fine but not so much with the silverware. So we got our food but still has to wait for the silverware. The Steak Fajitas were very good. Had a wonderful flavor. The dissatisfaction came from the shrimp salad. I asked our dear server about it and she implied it was awesome. So based on her recommendation I ordered it. The dish that I received was the same shredded lettuce mixture with grilled shrimp on top. The shrimp was wonderful but the lettuce was wet and left water in the bottom of the bowl. For the price of the shrimp salad and the recommendation, our expectations were higher. We also ordered fried plantains. Not for us. I'm not sure if we will rush back to this restaurant but maybe we will in a month or two. Let them iron out some "now open" issues.

While the food was great, the service not so much. Servers were younger and could see they are still learning the ropes. Wasn't bad, but could be better. The place is actually quite large and seems like it would be busy Fridays and Saturdays. Pool tables in the back too. We went for Sunday dinner and seated immediately. The menu was large and had ALOT to choose from. We'd be back to try other meals.

We came out to try some authentic Hispanic food and it did not disappoint. Started with Platano relleno (stuffed sweet plantains). I had the Nicaraguan Churrasco and my husband had the salvadorian churrasco. We got to play a game of pool while waiting for our appetizer. The place is brand new so the servers were still getting acquainted with the menu and they were out of a few things. That did not take away from our experience though. Will be coming back.

Great food, wonderful service, love the atmosphere. Not your same Mexican restaurant menu. Worth a try. I'll be back.

Wow, we made a great decision trying Mama Juana Latin Fusion. We had an outstanding experience. From the moment we walked in and were greeted by the host, we knew this was going to be something different. The host asked, and was genuinely excited when we told him it was our first time in. When the waiter arrived, he was excited to tell us about the menu, as well as the food itself. He enthusiastically explained that while they had Mexican dishes, authentic Latin food was their real specialty. He made great recommendations and took great care of us throughout the meal. We chose to try the empanadas (1 cheese, 1 chicken, and 1 steak) and some cheese dip with chorizo. Both were exceptional. Full of flavor. My wife and I agreed to split 2 entrees, and that was another good decision. I had the Cachapa with shredded chicken, and she had the Venezuelan Arepas. Neither of us had ever had these dishes, but both were amazing. We were stuffed, but no way we couldn't take a desert home for later. The flan and the Tres Leches were both AWESOME! If you are on the fence, just try this place. You will be glad you did! They take a tremendous of pride in the quality of the food. The restaurant was very clean and had a great ambiance.

The food is *excellent*, the starters are great, the cocktails are delicious, we haven't had one dud on any menu item. Juancho has super friendly staff and exciting flame filled kitchen plus all the Colombian dishes you crave. Plus fried rices, soups and a lonon saltado. We got this epic "appetizer" plate piled with fried meats and starches and garlic tomatoes. Circle up on that with some beers and you have a party. The seafood coconut soup was decadent. Plus a bunch of vegan items. Smart for such a meat heavy spot to have some offerings for your vegan loved ones. I will be back.

A taste of Columbia in Downtown Statesville, who knew?!? Well, I did kinda...I have passed this…read moreColumbian "bakery" for many years without a second thought and I sure could kick myself for not trying it sooner! The Columbian Bakery+Restaurant has operated in this same storefront for around 20 years but I have never stopped in. I am not particularly familiar with Columbian-style foods and I did not feel there was anything that I would like from their "bakery". Boy, I do not think I have ever been more wrong about anything in my life...memories of past boyfriends start to creep in slowly-haha! I am currently obsessed with Statesville's Columbian Bakery+Restaurant! Yes, I said it! Not slightly obsessed, completely obsessed! I have patronized this business twice this week already and I plan to go there again before the weekend is over! The food is amazingly and authentically appetizing! To date, I have experienced the yummy goodness that is their Beef Empanadas, Tostones, Maduros, and my current foodie crush, Pan de Bonos. Each and every food item is fresh made to order except of course, for the bakery items BUT the bakery items are fresh made daily. The Beef Empanadas are a little meat-filled hand pie and they are so delicious! The pie consists of a thin cornmeal-type crust wrapped around the meat filling then deep fried. The meat filling is finely chopped or minced beef with small bits of potato (another reviewer said, beans, idk which it is but they're delicious) mixed in. It sounds heavy but it is actually quite light because the consistency of the filling is so fine and the outer crust is so thin. These yummies are so good, you cannot eat just one! The Tostones are smashed and fried green plantains. These are a salty side which taste like potatoes and they pair very well with the empanadas. The Maduros are fried ripe plantain chunks. I have had these before at other Latin restaurants and I do love them! The maduros from Columbian Bakery+Restaurant did not disappoint! They are just as good as any I've had and maybe just a little better because they are so fresh when you get them! These are a sweet side with just a hint of tartness. They pair well with any of the spicy foods served at this restaurant but I always eat them as a dessert! My favorite, the Pan de Bonos, are a bakery item but I was lucky enough to stop by when pan after pan of these little delectable puff balls were coming out hot and fresh from the oven. Yesssss! Who doesn't love a light and fluffy cheese bread ball?!? Cheese and Bread! Sign me up every time! But not to worry these addictive little things reheat really well in the microwave. I know because I ordered a dozen on my last visit! I cannot wait to go back to this Columbian paradise right in the heart of Statesville and try out more of their food offerings! The Columbian Bakery+Restaurant is active on social media, both Facebook and Instagram, so check them out! Be forewarned, they post videos of their yummy goodness often! They, also, have an online menu app.colombianbakerync.com for your browsing pleasure. You're welcome! I think I see a trip to Downtown Statesville in your near future! @columbianbakerystatesville @downtownsvl #supportsmallbusiness #supportlocalbusiness #shopsmall #shoplocal #eat-local

I received chicken and maybe (?) beef, hubby thought it was very pork like but the menu doesn't have pork and I think it was the vegan empanadas. They were good, but not what we ordered. Hubby got the skewers with rice, wonderful. My food never came, when I asked they told me I didnt order it and I had to insist I did, and then they told me it will be right out. I ate the empanadas with hubby, hubby ate is skewers, rice, and potato, my food was still nowhere to be seen. At that point I asked for a refund, they told me my food wasn't ready, and I said I know, I'm done here and would like a refund which they gave to me in cash. It was an hour from ordering to me asking for a refund. What we had was good but 1) I wouldn't recommend for someone with allergies or food restrictions, 2) it took awhile to get the food The woman at the front was very sweet but I was disappointed because several people on TikTok recommended it, and the reviews are exceptional.

Suber Road, Greer, SC…read more That's the front side of the Lowe's Food shopping center shared with Lieu's Chinese Bistro, Voila French Cafe, and Nixtamal Mexican Kitchen. Basically, across the street from Riverside High School. Latin Flavorz is billed as "fast casual." It was! We got there at 11 am for lunch (see that menu below). We'll have to come back to try the breakfast menu. It appears to feature a lot of egg dishes with fiesta potatoes and chorizo. My wife was encouraged to try it by some work colleagues who promised "the best burger in Greenville" and we had to try the pandebono (which we didn't try this time). My wife tried the Beef Burger which was a very thick and tasty patty on a sesame seed bun. Served with lettuce, tomato, caramelized onions, crispy bacon, two melted cheeses, potato stix, and the Latin Flavorz in-house condiments. It was served very hot and juicy. It was big enough for us to split. It's $14.99. She made it a combo (fountain drink and fries) for another $5.99. I tried the skewers: one beef and one chicken. The steak was perfectly cooked, a decent portion, had a good flavor. The chicken was also prepared well, served hot, and had a good seasoning. Mine was served with a couple of small, roasted potatoes and spicy guacamole. $13.99. I added the House Rice for $2.99 and a fountain drink (I think about $3.) I gave my date a chunk of the steak and a chunk of the chicken in exchange for a third of the burger. "Flavorz" for sure. Nothing was bland. Lots of Colombian and Venezuelan influences here. The smells from the kitchen were making my mouth water as soon as we walked up to the counter to get our menus. After ordering, you're given one of those electronic pucks to know when your food is ready. When buzzed, you return to the counter to fetch your food. Since it was a counter-service set-up, we only had dealings with the gentleman at the register. He was friendly. The atmosphere features a hand-painted mural on one wall and painted concrete floor. All nicely done. They spent some money on the menus which are well-designed with colorful, enticing photos. Several of the dishes look to be a work of art. Being a brand-new venue (opened the week of Christmas 2025), it was immaculate and spacious. By the time we left, the lunch crowd was hopping! Outside the restaurant is a good number of parking spaces, except when the fitness spot next door is busy. But across the lane are a few hundred spots as part of the whole shopping center. With tax and tip, it was almost $50. So, more of a special occasion place for a lunch. regular and jumbo hot dog both featuring caramelized onions, bacon, cheese, and potato stix with their in-house condiments. Their taco offerings: birria, tacorritos (beef, chicken, mixed), and street tacos (beef, chicken, and mixed). Quesdillas (beef, chicken, or cheese). And a Quesa-birria. If you like plantains, they have a deep-fried option with beef, chicken, and mixed. All topped with their specialty garlic sauce and pink sauce. An up-and-coming fare favorite to Greenville: Arepas--corn meal patties. You can get two per order (beef, chicken, mixed, or plain). All filled with cheese and topped with the garlic sauce and pink sauce. The dual skewers come with roasted potatoes and spicy guacamole. (Beef, chicken, or mixed.) Latin Flavorz also offers some interesting looking fusion items: Super Salchipapa with is a bowl of crispy fires, fried sausage, plantain bits, with melted cheese, garlic sauce, pink sauce, and spicy guac. You can add pineapple for 99-cents. Sweet plantains with cheese: a bowl of plantain wedges, deep fried with melted cheese. Chori-papas: a plate of crispy French fries, yellow potatoes, and Colombian Chorizo slices, topped with the garlic sauce and pink sauce. Garlic Shrimp: good sized shrimp covered in garlic ajillo sauce, served with white rice, lettuce, and slices of fried plantains. The Pikada for Two is a large plate of crispy fries, with chorizo and Blood Sausage, beef, chicken, fried plantain (tostones), fried yellow potatoes (papa criolla), with wedges of lime and tomato. Spicy aji and pink sauce on the side. Sweet plantain and cheese rolls, deep fried, four per order. Salchipapaas, crispy fries, fried sausage, drizzled with garlic sauce and pink sauce.
