The service is immature. You got 3 little girls taking and bringing out your order. I was asking questions about the menu and she was dry. So I ordered chicken w/ jollof rice but I wanted the black rice instead and the chicken tasted old. Like they refried it. And the rice was ok but I paid $2 for pepper sauce that tasted like salsa. I'm like wtf this is not no pepper sauce. The food was horrible I'm not gone lie. I should've went next door to Zab E Lee like I started to do. Biggest regret of my day! Came here today excited because the reviews were fairly good. Me and my daughter walked in, 2 women were in the back. No one greeted us at all. We chalked it up to them being busy at the moment. We looked over the menu and decided what we wanted and stepped to the counter. One lady saw me standing at the register, said something to the other lady and she closed the door in our faces. Didn't say "one moment" or "we will be right with you" NOTHING!! Just closed the door. I am Trini but fell in love with Ghanaian food on my trip there 2 years ago, and have tried many places since then to fill the void. Finally! something close to the real thing in Atlanta. The rice was good flavor, plaintains perfectly fried and fish well seasoned. I also had the egusi soup and the gari and I ate until I was so full I couldn't move. The portions are VERY generous and you get your money's worth. The chef was so friendly as well. I am sure she cooks this food with love! read more

Horrible! No Egusi in the Egusi soup, it's basically just spinach, very odd flavor, no assortment of meat, just tough unflavored beef chucks. Also had the fried tilapia, it was average at best. Don't waist your money! read more

Hours say they close at 9PM. I walked in just after 9 hoping that maybe they would be willing to make me something quick to go. Nope, they made me feel absolutely welcome and I sat down to eat. I had never eaten African food before and they took the time to explain the entire menu to me. I went with the rice with beef and some peanut soup. Everything was tasty!! Large portions as well. If I lived in this area I would eat here regularly. If you have ever thought about trying African cuisine... give this place a try. As for decor and such... it isn't fancy at all. When I went to pick up my order the women with the nose ring said it would be $15 dollars extra! This is an amazing hidden GEM ! I had a taste for Egusi and this was nearby. The lady is very nice . The Ghanian style egusi was sooo good and the fried chicken with hot sauce was the perfect meal for a chilly night. HIGHLY recommend this place read more

Well I stepped outside the usual boundaries of cuisines for myself and tried African food for first time!!! I tried Banku with Okro soup and Croaker fish... the combination of all three in a bowl was Amazing!!! The Okro soup was very flavorful with a slight kick but not spicy. The Banku and Croaker only complimented the already Amazing Okro soup!!! I still have FUFU, Peanut Butter soup, and Goat to try later!!! So far so good!!! read more

My initial review was based on the food, however this review is based purely on character of the workers/owner. A few times I've gone it is constantly an issue... once I ordered 2 pieces of chicken & was told 20 minutes, well my husband waited over 30 minutes just to be told they were out of chicken. When I called back I was informed that they didn't have enough chicken to put extra on the plate!!!! Then say that ugghhh! He was long gone by the time I got a response. Another time a friend and I ordered our food and was told we couldn't sit in the dining area; only to walk past later and see two people were dining in the restaurant?!?? Apparently only Africans can dine. Then today I had my friend pick me up jollaf rice & chicken and when she delivered it I couldn't wait to dig in!!! Well I ended up spitting it out! The rice had been scorched and presented as if it were fine! I called hoping the owner would be honest but she lied and tried to convince me that it wasn't burnt! Just because you salvaged the top of the rice doesn't make the rest of it good to sell! Throw out the entire pot!!! You take a loss NOT your customers! I have ordered from Broni Home Taste several times. The food is always fresh, well presented, delicious & plentiful. Once, there was a missing food item & a menu discrepancy but the restaurant went out of it's way after I contacted them & they in turn contacted me to straighten out the issues. Once, the owner even hand delivered missing food to me. And the other issue was cleared up with a menu substitute. I order Uber Eats with them due to being home bound from a stroke. So the extra assistance is greatly appreciated. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone wanting to explore African cuisine. This is probably the worst customer service ever! I placed an order on Uber eats 6 mins prior to the store closing. I placed courtesy call to the restaurant asking the lady who picked up if she would still accept my order. She stated that yes it was ready and that she will push it through as ready so a driver can come get it now. I thanked her and she seemed pleasant. Fast forward to my Uber eats driver arriving and calling me stating that the lady said she told me to cancel my order because she wasn't cooking! I ask yo speak to the owner /chef who I spoke with and she declined to come to the phone....I could literally hear her say" no no, I'm not coming". Like why would you allow me to continue my order after I just spoke with you and then turn around and deny me the right to speak to you. I get it's late but you told me after confirming it was ok to place my order and now no full fill it after you claimed it was ready! My daughter is part Ghanaian and her grandmother is here and we decided to order based off reviews but even she said she is bad business!!!! Don't PATRONIZE THIS BUSINESS.... The owner is very friendly and made me feel welcomed and exited to try this genre of food for the first time.
