Simply horrible!!!!! I ordered two plates of jollof rice through Uber Eats, and both were clearly spoiled. The rice smelled awful and showed obvious signs of being stale. It was completely inedible and unsafe. The plantains were just as disappointing. They appeared cooked on the outside, but the inside was still raw and undercooked. It's hard to understand how something as basic as plantain could be prepared so poorly. To make matters worse, Uber Eats did not provide a full refund, despite the food being unfit to eat. We arrived to this restaurant/hookah bar around 7:15pm. A waiter came to assist us immediately which was great. They will offer bottled water as if it's the only option since there is a charge associated with it; however, tap water is available for free but you have to request it. We ordered around 7:31pm and received our food within thirty minutes. Because this is a hookah bar, the tables on the restaurant side are very low. You'll have to lean forward and down if you have the food delivered to you there. We were sitting at the low tables first but decided to head to the bar so we could actually sit at normal table height to eat. The steak kabobs were cooked too hard. They didn't ask how we wanted them cooked and we didn't think to tell them medium, so we just dealt with the overly well-done. They had a good taste, but they were just really tough to chew. The jollof rice with chicken and plantains was absolutely delicious; however, one of the chicken legs was really dark on the inside which made me not want to eat it, so I left half of that leg on the plate. I did dump the jollof rice into the sauce that the chicken sat in though because it was amazing. I loved the spice it added to the meal. The taste of all of the food was phenomenal. I was looking forward to picking up the food and taking it back to Florida with me. When we got about an hour down the road heading back home I realized the goat meat was cow foot. The Jolloff was the most disgusting I have ever had. I through it all away. It's a shame. They don't help the negativity of the world always putting down Nigerians for being scams. Came in for a nice after dinner vibe on Friday night around 10:30pm. It's very spacious inside with two separated sections and two bars. On one side it was a bit more Smokey due to the hookah. The afrobeats playing were on point! We ordered a mighty freeze hookah, which was extremely strong. We had to send it back and let the staff know. He didn't take our word, and instead tried it for himself. He agreed and happily got us a new flavor. The only con I have is that when ordering drinks and food there was always a wait. This was due to the fact that they only had one bar "open", and we were seated at the unopened bar. The bartender told us it was because they didn't want to clean up two bars. This is one of my go-to spots for Nigerian food. & that's saying a lot cos I'm Nigerian. I love the assorted stew as well as ayamase, efo riro, shya and the moimoi; but my favorite dish they have is the banga and starch. I'm from delta state so rarely do we find our delicacies here in the states. The portions are reasonable, and the pricing is pretty good too. The staff are very kind and knowledgeable of their offerings. I love getting their food as take-out or pickup after a long day, you can't beat it. I recommend it all the time. Can't believe this spot has been up the street from me this entire time! Dropped in for a pick-up order. I tried calling prior, but the phone went straight to voicemail. Inside was beautiful, really love the light fixtures, art and the Lagos wall map, so creative. This spot doubles down as a restaurant/lounge, hence the name: Boum Boum / Little Lagos. It took a while to place my order, but once placed wait was about 15-20 mins. The only reason I'm giving this spot 4 instead of 5 stars is due to a few inconsistencies - of course a phone number is on the site, but no one answers. But I did see someone taking an order over phone, so not sure when they decide to answer. Also, menus online do not match menus in restaurant - those in restaurant had more items and prices had an uptick of about $3-5, which you can imagine can be very confusing. As for the food, my experience does not account for a dining-in experience, but I truly enjoyed my jollof with plantain and beef Suya. This is comfort food for me, so I truly enjoy it being so close. Portions were fair and food was fresh. Waitresses were very friendly and accommodating. All in all, I'll be back tomorrow LOL read more

Boum Boum has some really great snapper, it's always fried well and the red sauce it's super tasty! It has a kick though so I get it on the side sometimes to control the spice. Ordered moi moi. I also ordered pounded yam but they gave me beef suya instead which honestly I think I preferred and was happy about the mistake! Overall it was every bit nostalgic and delicious. Great after hours spot ! This is usually the place I go after we've been out for the evening as an after hours kinda place. The music is Afro beats for the most part. The after hours menu is limited but has a good selection of some west African food and some wings/fries. The service is always good. You don't have to have a section for a larger party which & they split the bills with no problems. They do have valet and self parking is available. If you are looking for a taste of authentic Nigerian cuisine this is the place to come. A brand new restaurant in Atlanta offering signature dishes and a traditional style of preparing them. I came here on a Wednesday evening with a few Colleagues for a networking event. We all ordered different items off of the menu and tried various dishes. The restaurant has plenty of seating, televisions, and there is a bar area where you can order food and hookah. The decorations in the restaurant are also very nice and handcrafted. This new restaurant is located in a shopping plaza so there is plenty of parking available and it's easy to get to. I tried the beef suya, Jollof rice and the egusi stew. The beef Suya was cooked well and came with the spicy pepper seasoning on the side. The only complaint about the Suya was that the portion is very small for the price in comparison to other African restaurants in Atlanta that serve suya. The Jollof rice was good and tasted like traditional Nigerian jollof rice. It was moist and it had a very smoky flavor to it. The plantain was not overly ripe or sweet. The egusi was very flavorful with big chunks of meat. I would definitely come here again if in the area and in the mood for Nigerian food. After all they are open until 6am on weed read more

First let me start with the fact that I was trying to order something for lunch. I looked at their website and looked at the menu. I picked what I wanted to order and then made my way to the restaurant. When I got to the restaurant I ordered an order of Suya and an order of Yam chips. When the order was charged I noticed that the prices they charged me in the stoor were completely different from the prices I saw online. I asked the waitress why that was. She states that the website online is a fake website. Mind you this website has the correct address the correct telephone number and pictures of the restaurant. I got my order and I made it back to work. When I open my bag to look at my order., I noticed that I did not get the Yam chips that I ordered. Instead they gave me Plantains. I called the waitress to tell her that my order was wrong. She stated that she thought I wanted Suya and Plantains. I told her that i specifically stated yam chips. She then stated that plantains are a type of chips. I then told her that i have never heard that before and that i did not get what i paid for. She put me on hold and then came back to the phone to tell me that she would be sending a new order to me at the job with the yam chips. I never received this order. The food itself was not good at all. The Suya tasted more boiled than grilled. This is actually the worst restaurant and service that i have ever received from a Nigerian restaurant and I am Nigerian. read more

I have been to this spot twice now, and the food is always good. Now being that I am a southerner, when I tasted the Jollof Rice, I wasn't prepared for the smoky taste. I thought to myself, did they scorch the rice, so I went over to google and google said "no my child, this is the way." I went back because, I never had something so uniquely made and I LOVE IT! I have tried the Beef Suya... the meat was so tender and they give you this sweet spicy seasoning that goes with it, my goodness it was delicious. Even the onions were the best raw onions I've tasted from a restaurant. The Egusi soup was different, mainly because if you've never had it before, the bitter flavors is new the American pallet. This place does a very good job of making it less bitter and appeasing to the American pallet. I also tried the Efo Riro soup, it's a spicy stew with spinach, and it is soooooooooooo good! I will admit that I did the assortment of meats, and I up there. Not knowing what cuts of meat we're going to be served to me, when I got it I was like... nah fam I can't eat these pieces of meat. However, let me say, they smelled wonderful, you can tell they are well marinated and seasoned, but I still got that southern-city American pallet. HOWEVER, when the oxtails meat slide into my mouth, my gawd! It was so delicious, sweet, and tender. I believe I can still taste the meat and I had the meal may be two weeks ago.. the dish was made with nothing but love. I had it with the pounded yam... talk about full!! It took two days to eat the stew. I would highly recommend this place if you are looking to try west Africa cuisine.
