Finally tried Ike's and it was delicious. I got the egusi soup with assorted meat and cassava fufu and it was spot on ! Flavors were there and I would definitely order again or try a different soup. I want to try their whole fish next time too I heard it's the bomb! Will definitely be back

Me and my mom are Cameroonian, so we know what good African food tastes like. this was my first time at Ike's and I was pleasantly surprised! Food does take a minute to come out but that's because it comes out fresh. The Red Red was 10/10 and the plantains were soft which I loved. Everything was perfectly seasoned and the ambiance wasn't too busy for a Saturday afternoon. We also ordered suya as an appetizer that was great as well.

Egusi & Efo Riro (one closet to bottom is egusi )

We've tried there. Beef soya . Jolf rice . Agusie. Okra soup . Efo & Light soup. Puff puff. with pounded yam or fufu. (Sorry for misspelling*) During lunch time service : 18% automatic gratuity is applied but are nice and if you have questions they try to help atmosphere: there is both with double booths and tall ish headboards so it's pretty private besides walking in and has outside seats and use QR codes for the menus. Pretty chill and casual food items : agusie with chicken (i like the nigerian style more that's when the red sauce in the stew is separated ) - flavorful and great texture 10/10. I recommend this when first coming if you like textures WITH CHICKEN and the pounded yam Jolf rice : not that great, haven't ordered it in a long time beacuse it has no depth with flavor. It's just tomato or ketchup and rice taste 5/10 beef soya; it is crispy or dry ish note* I'm not the biggest fan of having dry or Krisp beef* but if you do then the beef is nice a crisp and fully cooked through 4/10 okra soup: if you like okra you'd like this if not i don't recommend getting this 10/10 price: our avg. per person: $26~ 2 entrees w/ side$54, $64 with appetizer or drinks + service of 18% automatic gratuity~ $ 63 for party of 2 . Slightly above avg prices there soups are great and taste very warm and this is one of the best African restaurants near or in Gwinnett county. This is Me and my partners will keep coming!

My two relatives came into town and they had wanted to try Nigerian food for the first time. Ike's was in the area the three of us were hanging out at, so I was looking forward to venture outside my normal restaurant. Setting / Service: We had came in about 10-15 minutes after they had just opened, so it felt like we were the first customers by the way the wait staff was missing. The host had told us sit at any table and we would have a staff member come swing by. We waited about 5-10 minutes before our waitress had came by and asked us if we were ready to order. Mind you - we were not given a food menu or told about the QR code that looked like it was barely hanging on the table beforehand. Food order took a little longer than expected. Table that was sat after us got their full lunch order before our soup came out. Felt little weird about that. The occasional check-ins from the waitress was welcomed. Food: Hunter's Platter was a overcooked or charred. The beef was well done at minimum. Some of the other meat pieces that contained bone were so overcooked that it was tougher than jerky and the bones themselves began to break off into sharp ends / mistaken as meat due to how brittle they became. For it to be priced at 'Market Value' and not have a actual charge was a bit odd to me. It came out to be near $60 for those wondering. Sweet potato soup with plantain fufu was good. We had ordered the mixed meat version, but it only contain one piece of each meat. It was borderline room temp by the time it got to our table. We had also ordered a few other items that were pretty enjoyable. Pleasant additions to a couple first timers who wanted to taste the menu. Overall: I'd say that the experience here was pretty okay to the point we had gotten the meal tab. It was a bit peculiar that our waitress had dropped off the credit card machine to the table for us after handing her my card. It was then I noticed on the machine "Additional Tip". Puzzled, I looked back at the check and noticed she had applied auto-gratuity. Yes, I would have given a tip. I would have given more than the auto applied tip, but it was context that made the entire situation foul. She applied auto tip, dropped the machine off, and just 'disappeared' until we left the table at which she muttered words as she walked past us while looking down to the floor.

Okra stew. The small container was over 1/3 filled with a ?knee bone/joint and wele (cow skin).

I gave them 3 stars instead of 2 because of the excellent service. The gentleman who took my order was great. They called me to let me know my order was ready. The cashier greeted me with a bright smile. The food....i was disappointed. The 2 small pieces of fried tilapia were way under seasoned. No salt and spicy pepper taste. It was too small and bland. They changed extra for the blended pepper sauce. The Nigerian jellof rice was unseasoned. The okra stew was dry but had a nice flavor. The small plastic container was over a third filled with inedible joint bones and a piece of cow skin. I will try other places next time.

Loved the authentic flavors and the variety. I only wish I had the capacity to enjoy $50 worth of food. Brunch ends at 4pm so please give yourself plenty of time if you choose the buffet. The service was great... all the servers were amiable. The game was on so there were a lot of boisterous football fans in attendance that Sunday. Overall I enjoyed the experience.

I haven't had peanut *PEANUT BUTTER SOUP in a very long time and this was the best decision ever!!!! Everything is fresh and good! Amazing 10/10

A fantastic spot for Nigerian cuisine! I tried the Peanut Soup, the Lamb/ Beef /Chicken Suya Platter, the Jollof Rice with Plantains, Red Red, and Efo Riro--and I loved every bite. The weekend live music made the atmosphere lively and welcoming. If you've never tried Nigerian food before, this is a great place to start!

Very good vibes and great food. I went with a group of friends. Love Island was playing and it was a nice watch party with other guests there. I would recommend calling for a reservation because they said Google Assistant doesn't work for them.

    Ayamase
    Tomi A.

The ayamase was really good with the rice and plantains. The only thing I didn't love is that they give you 3 plantains but I enjoyed it and had ayamase leftover. I would order it again.

Loved it here!! The service from Johnathan was amazing and he was very knowledgeable about the menu. The cassava leaf and ayamase was well seasoned and slightly spicy.

Today's experience was as always. Simple side order for fried yam and turkey tail; came in timely and perfectly presented by the waitress Kennedie whose demonstrable professionalism was spot on. Whatever keeps me coming to Ike Cafe and grill is surely the food, ambience and all, but most importantly the service delivery often times is top notch. Service indeed is what begets appetite. Before we see the menu , and the food , we see the smile and professionalism first. Keep it up guys and for Kennedie, my greatest respects to you as well as those who set this precedence for me on my first day. Keep it up girl.

Rock hard puff puff. Can't even bite it, it's so tough. Possibly the worst thing I have ever eaten. This sh&t gotta be days old

Happy Valley Dim Sum & Cantonese Cuisine in Norcross, GA…read more Happy Valley has been around for about 30 years. This was actually my first time visiting their new location. My family has always been a fan of Happy Valley. Har Gow 9.5/10 Translucent skin with a full shrimp inside. The texture and flavor are very close to what I've had in Guangdong. Hong Kong Style Egg Tart 9/10 Best when they come out fresh. Flaky buttery crust with smooth egg custard and a golden top. Feng Zao (Chicken Feet) 8.5/10 Good color and the skin has the classic wrinkled texture from braising. The flavor is savory with a slight sweetness, though a little lighter than expected. Beef Tripe 8.5/10 Tender with a slight chew and absorbs the sauce well. The radish underneath was really good. Beef Rice Roll 7.5/10 The flavor is good, but the presentation is not very Cantonese style. The rice roll is slightly thick but has a nice rice fragrance. The soy sauce they use is not very authentic. I used to eat rice rolls almost every day for breakfast when I was in school in Guangzhou, so I am very picky about rice rolls. Pork Siumai 8.5/10 Pretty classic dim sum. Clams 7.8/10 The clams themselves are fresh and well cleaned. Do not be afraid to ask them to reheat if it comes out cold. However, the sauce was a bit too heavy for me.

For the price and the area, the food quality just wasn't there, especially compared to other dim sum spots we've tried across the US and Vancouver. Food quality Most of the dim sum we ordered came out cold, and some items seemed like they were reheated (microwave style) to warm them up. That made the outer texture thicker and less pleasant. Even the fried items were disappointing: the outside was soggy, not crisp. I especially had high hopes for fried items like fried taro and fried eggplant, but both were below par. Best item we tried The one standout was the Hong Kong style seafood chow mein with a clear sauce. That dish was genuinely good. Everything else ranged from "okay" to forgettable. Value I don't remember the exact total, but for a similar spend, I strongly feel you could get better dim sum elsewhere. It didn't feel worth the money. Service Service was fine. They were willing to heat items when we asked, which I appreciated, but it also highlighted the bigger issue: dim sum should arrive hot and properly cooked in the first place. Atmosphere The atmosphere was actually nice. It was pretty clean, and on Sunday there were carts, which could have been fun. But because many items were cold and not great, we ended up ordering instead of relying on the carts. Would I return? No. The space is pleasant, but the food and overall execution just don't justify the price.

When we were finally seated, they split us between two separate tables and told us it was policy that they couldn't push the tables together. We were definitely a little disappointed, but we didn't let it ruin the night. I will say our servers were very nice and friendly throughout the experience. The biggest issue was the wait for the food. Half of our group got their meals, and then it took forever for the other table to finally get theirs, which made things awkward. As for the food, it was pretty mediocre overall. I had the fried shrimp and chicken, which was decent, but honestly I enjoyed the chicken more than the shrimp. One of my friends ordered the Cajun pasta and it lacked A LOT of flavor, definitely needed some salt and seasoning. The place was pretty and clean. I did like their outdoor courtyard to just wait and hang out. It wasn't a terrible experience by any means, but it also wasn't impressive enough for me to really want to come back.
