Delivered the vehicle to them Monday. They knew from me what was the problem and could have ordered parts before I even arrived, but decided to wait until I arrived on Monday. Monday, when I was being dropped off, I was told repairs like I was asking for take one, maybe two days to fix. The price they gave me AFTER DIAGNOSTIC was more expensive than local dealers for the same work. But since the car was already there and the appointment was made that was fine because I didn't have to work until Wednesday and if they had it fixed by Tuesday, no issue... Tuesday rolls around, no phone call, no communication. Late in the day I finally called and asked for an update. They told me it wasn't done and it looked like it would be one more day. So, I made plans to get a ride to work, and plans to pick me up. An hour before they were set to close, still no call, and we call them again, after I made plans to get off early and get a ride to get to the shop only to find out they still have even started on the work. I won't use them again, it was my first time, and suggest you don't either. They seem to want your business and then will hold you hostage until they finally get around to whatever you brought them.

We had the vehicle towed to an automotive shop in Tumwater where I was quickly quoted an exorbitant amount for a replacement (It really was a crazy amount)they were also willing to swap out my battery for $200.00 +. I asked for some recommendations from friends on Facebook 2 of 5 respondents pointed me to Foster's Automotive. I called and spoke to Jasmine who quoted me a reasonable amount and actually called me back two times to verify we had the correct information. I towed the vehicle from Auto Shop A (Won't share) to Foster's where I was greeted by friendly people excited to meet me and work on my vehicle. Jasmine, Terry, Nathan, and Nate were friendly down to earth and real people. I highly recommend that you give this local auto shop a try before you try anywhere else! Thank you!

Overpriced and Horrible customer service!!!!…read more Prior to the new ownership, I used to LOVE Foster's Automotive. And I had actually written a 5 start review here. My parents used to go to Foster's Automotive when Terry's dad owned it. Myself and my children continued to go to Foster's when Terry owned it. Terry was respectful, did awesome work, guaranteed his work and parts and labor were a very respectable price. I was having my entire family go there. We could trust him and had great faith in him. Now that Terry's son Nathan and his rude, belligerent, condascending wife Jasmine, have bought it 1/1/19 (since Terry underwent chemotherapy for cancer), their estimates are OVER double what Terry charged for parts and labor. I ask questions and I don't know if I can believe what they are saying or not because in relation to my experience with Terry, what they are saying doesn't make sense. And Jasmine is horribly degrading talking down to you and cursing. I feel very sad to have lost my wonderful mechanic. Three generations of my family have gone to Foster's Automotive and in one fail swoop, they have lost our family as customers forever.

I was in Portland, Oregon and got…read morethe ok from corporate to get winter tires put on the van so I started calling chain shops in the Tumwater/Olympia area where I was going to be the following day. After striking out after several calls I tried his shop. Rick the owner, a vet, was awesome. I explained what my needs were and he tracked down the right tires for the van plus new wiper blades and better headlight bulbs. His waiting area is super comfy with couches, TV and a Kurig. As it turned out they got in the wrong wiper blades so while his guy was blasting out the tires, Rick drove out and got the right blades. In a messed up and sometimes indifferent world it was a pleasure to meet Rick and his shop. His prices are super fair and explained up front and i couldn't be happier with the experience. I would definitely recommend his shop for any of your auto repair needs. Me and my van is in much better shape thanks to Rick. Thanks!

After a quick test drive and inspection. I was told that it was the engine mounts, and perhaps my VTec solenoid might be on its way out. The guys were able to get parts super fast and repairs done within the day. It costed less than what the the dealer had quoted me as well. Great group of young men. Will be certainly recommending to my friends and family.
