What a surprise to find such a romantic, exclusive and fusion Latin Cuisine experience in Tyler,…read moreTexas. Set on a hill, this beautiful property is definitely eye catching from the intersection. I call it fusion Latin cuisine because their shrimp ceviche was definitely not your typical one. Surprised with the sweet and not expected pineapple pieces, I couldn't help myself from enjoying and eating all of it. And the plate presentation of this appetizer is on point! Well done! Love the M letter drawing, the 'tartar' set up and dollop of guacamole to hold the chip deco! I believe the chips are home made. Service was wonderful! Attentive. Was recommended the blue coconut jalapeño mojito and it was also different. I would have personally liked a classic mojito better. Coconut and jalapeño didn't rock my boat, but the presentation was lovely. For the entrees we went off the card and chose from their specials menu. The Osso Buco pork shank was juicy, fall off the bone, and deliciously flavorful! Bold in flavors. The tasty saucy beans balanced the bland cilantro lime rice. It was a large portion, couldn't finish the quantity but it was well-loved. The surf and turf dish was beautifully set up. The filet mignon steak was on top of chimichurri fries, and the overcooked lobster found its way on fajita vegetables. The steak that was cut in was more of a medium and not medium rare but still tasty and finished. This place is apparently popular amongst prom goers. Quite a few prom groups with photographers were taking pictures in and around the building earlier that evening. Aside from the food, service and ambience. Villa Montez could still improve with the welcoming hostess, and by cleaning up the construction materials in the back and by the parking lot.

(went on Feb. 25)…read more It's rare to find a restaurant that serves the entire fish, as seen here. But in Chinese restaurants, that's the norm! (There, they also steam the fish rather than fry it; but hey, beggars can't be choosers!) I knew this existed from other people's pics. But on the menu, I couldn't figure out which item it was. I asked the waiter, he pointed it out, but I forgot what he said. Lol. I think it's tilapia. It was $15 before tax, tip. Just what I wanted!

(NYC). Introducing Inka's. Peruvian meets Colombian cuisine. I am part Colombian so Colombian cuisine is something I am very familiar with, Peruvian not so much. The number one staple in Colombian food is going to be the dish called "Bandeja Paisa" which contains pork, beef, sausage, sweet plantain, egg, avocado, rice and beans. This is what caught my eye because it is what I am most familiar with. I also ordered a mango milkshake. This was not my first time being here at this establishment. The place stays pretty empty and it is quite unfortunate because the quality of food, the taste and the attentive to detail from the staff is above and beyond. Inside, the place is rather big and it looks like they have live music at times. I just wish them to a lot more busier because this is the closest thing I have to Colombian food. My bandeja paisa elevated me straight to Colombia where the taste from the pork was out of this world it was so crunchy yet so soft, the beans were amazing as well as the beef. Let me not forget the mango milkshake which was delicious. I need everyone to saturate this establishment and support this business because these flavors are international but teleported locally to serve good cuisine.

From the moment we walked in, this place felt warm, welcoming, and real -- not trendy, not flashy, just genuinely good. The food was the star of the show. The pupusas were perfectly crisp on the outside and soft, cheesy, and flavorful on the inside, served with bright, tangy curtido that tied everything together beautifully. The rice and beans were simple in the best way -- seasoned like someone's grandma was back in the kitchen -- and the plantains were caramelized, buttery, and impossible to stop eating. You could tell everything was made with care, patience, and pride, not rushed or reheated. Portions were generous, prices were fair, and the service was friendly without hovering. If you love bold, comforting, homemade flavors, this is absolutely worth the stop. We'll definitely be back -- and soon.

The spices are different and not too spicy hot at all. My favorite is their pupusas with choice of meats, veggies and cheese. Also the chicken enchilada is great. I like to mix in their cole slaw with the pupusa. My wife is from Colombia and she had the chicken stew lunch and loved it. Their 4 fruit drink is home made fresh and to die for

The papusa plate comes with 3 and also comes with a traditional cabbage salad and hot sauce. They offer multiple flavors. Regardless which flavor, they come very large and cheesy compared to most papusas I've tried. Very large portions. You get what you pay for here. Also the flavor is pretty good also. A bit bland, but comes with toppings and sauces that fill in what ever bit of spice or tang your taste buds desire. As I was waitinwaiting i saw others get their food and i could tell it was also delicious. Especially since every one destroyed their food with serious haste. So did we. Customer service was pretty slow i cant lie, but not too slow. I think the server was helpi g make food in he back so she would onOK.come out from time to time... until a nother worker showed up to help. Then we got a bit most service. The interior wasnt fancy, but it was clean. No bugs. Alao they didnt offer water, we had to order it. I feel like a lot of hispanic restaraunts ive been to have been like this. Im not a fan. Prices are darn cheap tho so they get a pass. I recommend this place and woold come back. Nothing special here so i wouldnt say come for a special date night. But to some plan old good and cheap food for dinner or lunch, this is a great spot. Parking is OK. The lot was pretty full when I arrived but the restaruant was only 1/3 full. I'm guessing the other establishments in this mini strip mall had customers also.
