This was my first time at the Katy location after being a customer at the Westheimer location for 10+ years. The customer service here is lacking. The girl that "helped" me seemed so annoyed and pissed off that she was working, barely whispered directions so I had to ask her to repeat what she said several times, and literally whispered which positions to do while the tanning gun was going full blast. You have to pay and tip before you even get the tan (I tipped 20%). They also make you pay for hair nets and powder which is honestly embarrassing...charge $2 more and just include those items, or give them for free like every other spray tan place does. Just a super weird vibe and uncomfortable, I won't return to this location. Update---my tan is insanely splotchy, like she didn't even spray the front of my legs. Worst spray tan ever. read more

This place is great if you want to get a nice even color, that is natural looking and not orangy...but in a flash! The technician knew I was going on vacation and really did a nice job to make sure the color was evenly sprayed and heavy enough to give me good color. I have been going to Bronze Bar in Katy for 6 years and I have always had a wonderful experience with the kindest staff and the spray tan always turns out amazing. Today I had the worst experience due to the staff member working today, Mia, she was so rude, disrespectful, and unhelpful I couldn't believe it. She couldn't be bothered to help me figure out what color I usually get, any question I asked she was so irritated and short with me. She got extremely frustrated with me when I didn't understand what exact pose she wanted me to do while spraying. I usually just let things go but her attitude throughout the very short 10-15 mins I was in there for was so abrasive I felt like I had to say something. My husband called later just to get the number to speak to a manager or customer service representative and she told him that I was a liar, called him crazy, refused to give him the number and then hung up on him. Extremely disappointed, I hope no one else gets treated this way. read more

I gave this place 2 chances for spray tan. Had never had a spray tan before. The first time the girl did not say much although I did tell her I had never had a spray tan before. That spray tan was even, although pretty light. I had hoped to have more than a "glow" and more of a tan. The 2nd time, I asked for darker. The spray became very splotchy within 2 days even though I followed the instructions. The girl the 2nd time was much friendlier & informative, but still the tan didn't take very well. Arms looked good, legs & chest were very splotchy. I had to wear a rashguard to the beach/pool to hide the splotchy chest area. read more

Love love love! I discovered this gem right before Christmas and I got a great tan before going to Hawaii. I got the medium natural shade and I was very content. I went back today and I went slightly darker than the natural medium. The tan doesn't smell bad, at all. The Bronze Bar is very clean and professional. You're sprayed in a special tiled room and when you're done you stand in front of dryers that help the tan to dry faster so you can easily put your clothes back on. I highly recommend it. read more

I came here after reading decent reviews but found myself regretting my decision. I have never been as orange as I was after this spray tan. I had to shower after 4.5 hours bc I looked like a cheeto. My hands and feet looked like I had rubbed them in clay dirt for hours and in between my boobs was a splotchy mess. I wouldn't have cared much but we were heading to the Caribbean and I looked ridiculous. I spent an hour sitting in the sand exfoliating my hands and feet and finally got some of it off. I hate to complain but I want others to be aware. Yes, I know I got a spray tan which isn't "natural" but I have had way better in the past. Don't waste your money coming here. read more
