It is with great sorrow that I write this yelp review. As an avid spray-tanner I go to Glo twice a week. I usually go to the one in River Oaks but yesterday I decided to try the one out in Katy. Let's just say, I';ll never go to this location again. They make you i repeat MAKE YOU buy these shoe pedals for $2. I'm sorry but I spend a lot of money a month, I shouldn't be required to pay for something that A). didn't help and B). I don't want. The rooms were DIRTY and I didn't feel clean walking around in the spray tan booth area. Also... the lady at the front desk was trying to sell me some moisturizing towelette after I told her I don't need one. If you want to go to place with annoying, pushy sales people then 100% go here. Otherwise, I'd stay clear. TO TOP IT ALL OF I asked for CLEAR DARK and my spray tan is BARELY NOTICEABLE. I am PALE. Ask me if I am happy about it....CAUSE I'M NOT! I called the Glo Sun Spa prior to going in and instantly knew I would love the experience there. Kendal was extremely helpful and welcoming. The environment is relaxing, clean, and inviting. All the staff members were kind and generous. I had a great experience for the first visit and will definitely be back every week. Prices are great for the services you get to experience there. The only con was some of the customers. I don't understand people treating staff members with disrespect or coming in with a bad attitude. Wow. Just. Wow After many uncomfortable visits to Malibu Tan, I decided it was time for a change, followed the advice of my fellow yelpers and gave Glo Sun Spa a try. It was amazing, literally. I was so happy with the results that i asked about the membership before leaving. I annoyed the front desk girl (I don't remember her name:( ) with my million questions: "Am I gonna look like a cheeto? Do you think I should get dark or medium? Is my tan gonna look bad now that colder days are coming? How long does it last? Can I workout tonight? When can I shower?". She was beyond patient with me and answered to all of my questions with a smile, and made sure she explained everything to me. She showed me the different options for my tan, including the tan mitt, but was never pushy with the sales. I got the clear tan, that develops over time, so I didn't leave the cabin all sticky and dripping spray tan. The cabin was clean, and it had a little heater inside, which was a nice detail considering I have always frozen my a** in the previous cabins I have visited. Another nice detail is that they give you sticky pads for your feet soles so you don't get that nasty inevitable orange buildup. I had a Groupon for cryotherapy here, to my surprise it's just a tanning salon! They sell CBD products and different tanning items. My experience with cryotherapy here was that they made it very comfortable for my boyfriend and I to get started with the session. They provided robes, socks, gloves, and very easy instructions to follow. They helped us step by step with the little time that we had in the tank. I thought this was a great start to cryotherapy, the machine was not as strong as other machines I've tried. read more

Wow, not all spray tans are created equal!!! Glo is by far the best spray tan I've had to date and the ladies walk you through step by step they're so amazing here and the machine even advises you so you can't mess it up. They also have a pretreatment exfoliating mitt for $9 that I used before spray and I don't have a single streak or spot so definitely grab one if you decide to swing by and had not had a chance to exfoliate yet because it helps you better absorb the color.
