Fingers crossed this cute little space near the train stop in Brookfield has finally found the right fit. We went this morning for the first time. There is seating for maybe 40 diners plus bar seating??? The usual diner breakfast and lunch fare with a few specials offered. Coffee was decent and refilled often- service spot on. The pancakes big and fluffy, sausage links juicy and nicely browned. The star would have to be the chilaquiles. Large plate with slightly crunchy chips cooked in a nicely spicy salsa, covered in chorizo, over easy eggs and chihuahua cheese with avocado slices and pinto beans on the side. It was flavorful, the right amount of meat to chips, not greasy and a large enough portion to split or save half for lunch. Prices decent- Went again today and our food & service were spot on! I ordered my potatoes well done and they came perfectly cooked. Some places will burn one side and the other not even browned and their breakfasts are not greasy!!! My boyfriend, my boyfriend's sister & I went to have breakfast at this place at about 9:40am. They locked the entrance doors so we could not walk in. The server looked at us & ignored. We walked back to our car. Patrons parked next to us, walked to the restaurant, & the entrance was conveniently opened again. If you are a minority DO NOT go to this place!!! read more

I saw a Facebook ad with a bunch of photos of the menu items available. I placed a phone order right away because it looked really good. Very nice service for pickup order. I had the Reuben Turkey Melt with sweet potato fries and lemony cream of chicken and rice soup. Absolutely delicious!! Honestly fantastic. Can't wait to order again. read more

This breakfast was awesome. Good portions and it was still hot upon receipt. The scrambled eggs were just right as was the meat and potatoes. Great food, went two weeks in a row it was so good, service was also really good and I love that when you order decaf coffee they give you a different style of mug so the server knows not to put regular in it. Staff was helpful and friendly, received food quickly. I ordered mediterranian skillet, beef hash, wife ordered meat skillet, no onions and pumpkin pancakes. Coffee was good, mediteranian skillet and hash was good. Unfortunately, wife's skillet came with onions. She informed the staff, and staff offered to replace the skillet. She said it wasn't necessary, she could pick onions out. Unfortunately, pumpkins pancakes had a hair in it, gross. We stopped eating at that point and asked for the check. Link to pay the bill did not work, had to go to register. Register staff said I need an iPhone to scan the QR code. I informed them any device that has a camera and an app to read QR codes can scan QR codes. But actual problem wasn't the QR code, but the Toast website. Toast was throwing a 404 error. Didn't appreciate being judged for not having an iPhone. Used my phone to pay for the bill eventually. read more

Seriously.....hard to get any better than this. In my top 4 breakfast spots Nationwide. In town for four days and had breakfast here twice. I may have mentioned my love for God's most perfect food in a few other reviews (pancakes) but I do make other choices occasionally. This time I didn't have to. With most breakfast combinations you can swap out the toast for pancakes. These people love me. Eggs cooked perfectly, hashbrowns were fluffy AND crispy. Corned beef hash was real and really good but the pancakes were perfect. They have fancy but I laugh at fancy. I was tempted by the bacon waffle but I, maybe foolishly, resisted. Service both times was excellent, coffee was not allowed to get empty or cold. Also a very warm and inviting setting. read more

Found this gem of a restaurant and boy do we love it. I ordered the Irish skillet which was corned beef hash and eggs over potatoes. I ordered an English muffins toasted and it was exactly how I do it at home. It was absolutely perfect. The service was wonderful and they even have a Lent menu. Their pancakes are yummy and wish I could try everything on the menu. I'm sure it would all be as good!! Highly recommend to everyone! read more

Wonderful addition to downtown Brookfield! Throughout the years this location has experienced many different restaraunts. Brookfield Breakfast is hopefully a keeper and here to stay! The interior is very small, so I would prefer booths rather than the table set up. It just feels like it's a small room where you have to share square footage with other patrons. However, taff is so very friendly and helpful and the food is very good. I ordered their veggie omelet and my husband ordered the veggie skillet. The omelet was on the thin side, but it was packed with fresh veggies like broccoli, tomatoes, and onions. Where I would have preferred to see other veggies such as the advertised mushrooms, it was tasty. Their hash browns were delicious and not overly fried. I really enjoyed my husband's veggie skillet. His was chock full of an assortment of veggies and was so delicious. Brookfield Breakfast doesn't have overly fried food so you don't feel sick when you leave. Their pancakes were fabulous, so light and fluffy. Prices are reasonable and comparable to other breakfast restaraunts around town. We will be back! read more

I often judge a breakfast place by their eggs Benedict. This place had 4 eggs Benedict options which was a good sign. My California Benny had fresh avocado, a decent slice of fresh tomato, Canadian bacon ( which was flavorful and not rubbery). The poached eggs were cooked perfectly. My mom had corned beef hash with her eggs which she said was good. My dad's 2 basted eggs were cooked correctly too. Our friend's skillet meal was chocked full of veggies. It was huge! Everyone was pleased with the hand shredded and crisply cooked hash browns. This is something that PJ Clem's and the Brookfield pancake house overlook. Despite high marks for food and good service, it was deafening in there. Noise deadening panels would be a good investment for this place. read more

This cozy spot is SO GOOD. We've been getting takeout during Covid and the quality is consistently good. My favorite is the veggie skillet (I have them add sausage.). Everything tastes fresh and just...real. Big hunks of veggies, potatoes that don't taste like they've been sitting in a freezer for ages...I can't recommend this place enough! read more

Had carry out lunch there today and it was amazing! We usually have breakfast there, but got a late start and opted for sandwiches. My wife had the Clubhouse and I had the Brookfield burger with their hash browns in lieu of fries. Both came with a generous portion of soup, which we'll have later. Both sandwiches were well presented and crafted with care and quality fresh ingredients. This will be our new go-to place for sandwiches. Service was prompt and especially courteous. We ate breakfast here this morning, service was quick, the food was not that great. Both my wife & I ordered chicken fried stead w/gravy on the side, it somes w/eggs, I ordered my eggs sunny side up and my ordered hers scrambled. The dish also came w/hash browns. My wife said her scrambed eggs had a weird taste, I tasted them and thought the same thing. The gravy kind of had the same taste too. Not sure what it was. My wife liked the hash browns I did not. With the Chicken fried steak you can get toast or a short stack, wife ordered short of pancakes and they were cold. I would not go out of my way to go here, maybe if I was in the neighborhood, I would go in. The food was just meh, nothing to write home about. read more

Ordered the Popeye omelet with swiss cheese but got cheddar...edit...I found the swiss...they added Swiss in addition to cheddar, I had wanted Swiss instead of cheddar. Not very fluffy but good flavor. Hashbrowns cooked well but needed salt and I never add salt. Overall was pretty good I will give them another try. read more
