    Cafe mocha
    Chrissy D.

Visiting from out of town and my family recommended this spot for breakfast. We were seated quickly and comfortably in a corner booth seat for the five of us. The server brought a pitcher of water for the table as we placed an order for our drinks - the standard coffee, tea, and a cafe mocha. My mocha came out in a delightful manner topped with whipped cream, spices, pumpkins, and a waffle stick! It made me smile!! My godmother pointed out there were some pumpkin specials so we definitely made use of that special - she got the waffle and I tried the French toast. The pumpkin French toast was super delicious!! The crispy edges complimented the softer inside part. It was topped with some chopped pecans and butter plus light, crunchy sugar. It wasn't overly sweet and I liked the side cup of syrup to drizzle it. The others were happy were their regular pancakes (HUGE portions! Single pancake was the size of the plate!!), some blueberry some with fruit on the side. Another got an omelette with cubed potatoes to which they also enjoyed. Overall found the meal to be very filling and service was friendly. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The tables were clean and it's a good spot to catch up with family and friends.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I enjoyed the Halloween decorations too!! Very festive and cute![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Nice atmosphere and excellent service. Greeted immediately by staff. Food was ready when we arrived. Well, the cheese wasn't melted in the eggs and the fruit was definitely outdated. And why is there lettuce in my fruit? The pancakes were okay though, but the turkey sausage was good. Avocado toast was soggy and the Belgian waffle was okay, but the fruit, again, was old. Would I try them again, yes...but instead of take out I'd have to sit.

Patti's just changed ownership in March 2024. Prices hiked. Service hit and miss. Avoid the first booth, as the outside door loudly slams into the jam every time somebody enters/ exits. Also, it bothered me that the menu item, soup and half sandwich, says it includes a side salad option (see pic), and they said it was an error. Why not honor until new menus are printed?

Absolutely SHOCKED that this restaurant doesn't have 5 stars. I have been going here (along with the other neighborhood regulars) since it opened, and have watched as the restaurant space expanded but the amazing food remained the same. The seasonal pumpkin pancakes require a pilgrimage, but during the rest of the year my favorites are the little boy blues. Make your own skillet has delicious ingredients, and the chicken apple sausage here is super good. Coffee is perfect, and the Ghirardelli hot chocolate is well known in the area. The wait staff make you feel like you are family, always so welcoming and nice. Every single time I return to the area, I make sure to stop by.

Lumes is known as one of the longtime favorites for brunch in the suburbs. A place not just for mornings actually. They also have a few things for lunch. Coming on weekdays is better because it's not as crowded. It's always crowded of course but you actually can find a few seats. The breakfast options are the things most people get from here so most of the menu consists of these. Of course not everyone wants to get it. There's also lunch options like salads and sandwiches. At lunch we got a couple of these items. It's about $15 to get the Power Spinach Salad. A lot comes on it. There's chickpeas, cucumbers, house vinaigrette, onions, parsley, pomegranates, quinoa, and spring mix. Quite enough. The sandwich options include classics like Reubens. Great to come here hungry. It's got a few locations. They're open until the early afternoons so hours are limited which is the only bad thing.

The food leans toward coastal-inspired American dishes, and there's a good mix of seafood, shareables, and cocktails to choose from. Everything was well-presented, and the menu offers something for both casual dining and a slightly more upscale night out. The drinks, especially their signature cocktails, definitely add to the experience. My service was superb Rachel my server she was amazing very attentive. I'll definitely be back.

The location--across from Gerald Honda--is convenient, but that's about the only positive. The food is underwhelming at best. I ordered the corned beef skillet, which is my usual go-to, so I know what a good one should taste like. This one was bland, the sunny-side-up eggs were a tad overcooked and the hash browns lacked any crispness around the edges. Honestly, without ketchup, it would've been hard to get through. Overall, the atmosphere felt dull and depressing. Country music soundtrack made it more so. At this point, it's clear the kitchen needs improvement, whether that's retraining or revisiting recipes. I'll likely be trying another spot down the street in future.

He went to HONEY AND JAM and asked for 2 large salads with grilled chicken. The waitress had no idea how to charge him because those "exact words" were not on the menu. She called for help. My husband trusted that they would do a good job and make a "normal" salad (greens, tomatoes, onions, etc) and top with a grilled chicken breast. Instead they put some mixed greens in a carry out dish and a few cubes of chicken....they charged for 2 large Cobb Salads (which is loaded with other ingredients like, bacon, cheese, etc). You have got to see what I got and what they charged for it! Incredible!! Never NEVER again. And a TIP? For what? We came to you. We are very generous people but we expect SOMETHING in return.
