I've lived in new york several years, and been searching for a place close enough to what we're used to. Starship didn't even come close. pop up isn't open yet. when i first heard the name brooklyn bagel, i was dubious; what if this was just a knockoff of the real deal in new york? i'm happy to say that these bagels are the closest to that big, fat, fluffy bagel we've grown to love. not that many sandwich options but i really enjoyed what they had. i've had the williamsburg and the flatbush and both are great and served warm and toasted. not a huge amount of flavored cream cheese options but the fact that they have choices is a huge plus. we went twice in a month and always buy extras to take home to enjoy later. can't wait for pop up to open, but this is a great addition to the dfw area without having to make the trek to new york. there are some tables inside to sit and eat, which is actually really similarly decorated to the actual brooklyn bagel in new york. read more

I'm always excited when I see non chain bagel shops so of course I had to see what BB had going on. I've been a few times, my take: The bagels are big which I really like. The bagels with toppings are fully coated top and bottom which alot of places don't do. I recently tried and became a fan of Joe's Teas and they have a few varieties here which is another plus. Now, the bagels are a little soft for my liking, I prefer the chewy crispy outer top and soft interior, but just preference. Other than that, no complaints. BB is reasonably priced and the customer service is passable. I can't speak to the cream cheese flavors, haven't tried them yet. I was craving a bagel sandwich and found this place near my house ! It was pretty busy which I expected for a Sunday. It was clean inside and the staff was nice! I had the Williamsburg and it was underwhelming to be honest. I subtracted one star due to them not having a non dairy cream cheese option. Additionally, the quality of the contents in the bagel sandwich were okay but not worth the hefty 15$ price tag. The onion tasted a little old and for whatever reason that was the most memorable thing. Overall it wasn't terrible, I'm sure it just depends on what you order . Quick confession- I've never had an actual bagel from New York but I've had NY-style bagels plenty of times. So I had to check out the new bagel spot in town and ordered an onion bagel with jalapeño cream cheese. The cream cheese was excellent, super creamy with a little kick from the jalapeño. But the bagel itself was way too chewy for me. Yeh yeh, I've heard that NY bagels are supposed to be chewy. But I prefer mine with a crisp toasty outside and a chewy inside. So while the cream cheese was a win, the bagel wasn't my cup of tea. It's a cure spot, formerly my favorite poke place - and they had a solid flow of customers and a lot of bagel sandwich options. What I received was more in line with a simpler salmon bagel, and after checking the menu again, I realized there looks to be two different options, something I missed when ordering. Totally on me, and not taking a star off for that! That said, while the salmon itself was just okay, the bagel however, was phenomenal.
