What a charming find! I stopped by The London Baker for the first time and immediately fell in love with the atmosphere. The space is absolutely beautiful, warm, and inviting. It feels like a little slice of London right here in North Texas. We tried a variety of pastries, a cake pop, and a London Fog tea. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The London Fog tea was especially delicious and made the experience feel even more special. What really stood out to me was the space itself. It's the kind of place where you can easily spend an afternoon catching up with friends. It would be perfect for a girls' day out, high tea, birthday celebration, baby shower, bridal shower, or bachelorette gathering. Every corner is thoughtfully designed and feels elegant without being stuffy. I can also see why they're so well known for their custom cakes. The displays alone are impressive, and after seeing everything in person, I would definitely consider ordering a cake here for a future special occasion. Just WOW!! I attended a private retirement party and the sheet cake was ordered from The London Baker. The cake was a huge rectangular cake that was literally 4" tall (I measured!) They were even able to put a photo on the cake; my guess is by using some kind of edible ink on fondant but since I didn't order it I don't know for sure. The bakery looks so adorable on their website and I would love to attend a high tea or other special event in the future. It was a chocolate cake with white buttercream frosting and it was DELICIOUS! It wasn't overly sweet, just right! It was moist but still dense enough to hold together to be able to cut through the 4" of chocolately goodness. This was my second visit to The London Baker. The first time I ordered to-go and the food was amazing, which made me excited to come back and dine in. Unfortunately, my dine-in experience didn't live up to the same standard. I ordered the bacon cheese scone, honey lavender latte, and a BLT. The scone and latte came out fairly quickly and were both delicious. However, my BLT took over 30 minutes, and when I checked in with the cashier, she realized she had forgotten to ring the bell, so the kitchen didn't even know my order was placed. After more than 40 minutes, my food finally came out and I got it go because i was soo frustrated over the long wait for just a breakfast sandwich . The staff apologized, but there was no effort made to make up for the mistake. The food itself is still very good, but the service was disappointing. If I return, it will likely be for takeout only not dine-in. read more

Wow- I wish I had visited the London Baker sooner because my husband and I were absolutely blown away! The decor and setting is so inviting and special, far different than most coffee shops in DFW. The food and coffee was absolutely outstanding and the prices were beyond reasonable! Cute place if you like esthetic. Cupcakes are cute I didn't get to try them because they were for my daughter's class since it was her birthday but in my opinion I think they're way over priced. A dozen of cupcakes it's $48 and I needed two dozens so I paid $91 with a "discount". Only good thing is that they open early and if your in a situation where you need cupcakes last minute they have them but your paying a lot so do yourself a favor and pre order somewhere if your on a budget. I used The London Baker for my wedding in November of this year, and unfortunately, I was deeply disappointed with my experience. I chose this vendor based on their overwhelmingly positive online reviews, television appearances, and recognition as a WeddingWire Choice vendor. I felt confident trusting their expertise. That trust was misplaced. We ordered a simple two-tier buttercream cake intended to serve 30 people. I met directly with the baker to discuss the design, which included vintage-style buttercream detailing. During our consultation, I was assured that this design would be perfectly suitable for a wedding setting and that everything would be fine on the day. Halfway through dinner--before anyone had touched the cake--the cake structurally collapsed. This was not an issue of guests or mishandling, but a complete structural failure. The cake had been on display for approximately three hours, which is entirely reasonable for a wedding cake and should have been anticipated and engineered by a professional baker. After the incident, the baker attempted to place blame on the cake being out "too long," rather than taking responsibility. If the requested design and amount of buttercream posed a risk, that should have been clearly communicated to me in advance, with alternative recommendations provided. I am not a professional--that is exactly why I hired one. To make matters worse, when my planner reached out seeking clarification or resolution, the response we received was aggressive and dismissive. Instead of professionalism or accountability, we were met with blame and shame for a situation that was entirely outside of our control. Beyond the disappointment of the cake itself, this failure resulted in ruined wedding photos and unnecessary stress on a day that cannot be redone. For these reasons, I would not recommend The London Baker for a wedding. A wedding cake requires not only aesthetic skill, but structural integrity, foresight, and professional accountability--none of which were demonstrated in this experience. read more

This is an elegant British-themed coffee shop close to the 121 highway. I had a good time eating late breakfast and reading here! I got Morning Fog latte (they could do either cold or hot, but they recommended hot so that's what I went for), which was seasonal in April, and lavender earl grey scone. Both were great! They left the actual tea bag in the latte and I liked that. The scone also had a noticeable tea aroma- perfect for my liking! They had a variety of sitting areas: sofas, booths and tables/chairs. Looked like they had internet for guests but I didn't try to connect to it. The parking wasn't my favorite. Although there were ample parking spaces in the parking lot(s) that were within walking distance, it all said "2-hour parking" (refer to the parking lot photo below). It's unusual to have limited parking time here in Texas. One thing that disappointed me was the disappearance of Harry Potter decors. I saw those on here so that's the main reason why I was intrigued to come to this coffee shop. There were actually none of them when I was there, unfortunately. However, there were still other British decors around and those did look nice. Such a cool spot when walking in! There is so much going on but I truly love the atmosphere. I got the royal Crown Jewels which were good but didn't wow me if I'm being honest. The girl who took our order wasn't very friendly either which was a bummer because I feel like that kind of place would have friendly employees. The lemon cup cake was excellent: cake was moist and the frosting (which I usually dislike) has crisp yet delicate lemon flavor. So impressed. The bad was the cleanliness and table turn over. The entire dining area was full of dirty plates and crumbs. Was a turn off. The staff were completely unbothered, not well trained and lacked a sense of customer service and urgency. I was not expecting to meet the owner my first time visiting, but I was happily surprised when I did! I have been dying to try this place out ever since I watched Elizabeth Rowe on the Netflix show Is It Cake? I knew it was going to be something special, and it did not disappoint! She was super cool too. I told her that I would definitely be coming back. It's a super cute place filled with yummy drinks and treats. I am a huge fan of butterbeer! So naturally, I was thrilled when I saw it on the menu I ordered quite a few items since I don't live close by. Also, it was so hard to choose since EVERYTHING looks delicious! I ended up getting the butterbeer latte, butterbeer cookie, bourbon pecan chocolate chip cookie, sausage pasty pillow, and spicy chorizo scone. I will say that I would buy 10 more of those butterbeer cookies alone. They are that good. My husband ate the bourbon pecan chocolate chip cookie, so I can't weigh in on that myself. But he said he liked it. The butterbeer latte brought me back to Universal Studios when I tried butterbeer for the first time. The sausage pasty pillow was well seasoned and quite tasty. I was warned that the spicy chorizo scone was very spicy. I actually asked for it to be even spicier. But I was disappointed. It had no heat to it. I could taste the honey more than anything. Went there to get something sweet to go...Had the red velvet and double Dutch chocolate...my taste is not that sensitive, aka "subtle flavor of idk chocolate or something". Once i cut the cupcake to get a bite, my first thought was that the texture is different from what I'm used too - seems to be less crumbly and more tightly knit if that makes sense that giving a "dry" texture impression...but actually once I've taken a bit it is surprisingly moist and to me, they taste as they should lol. What makes the cupcakes a winner: the sweetness is perfect! Both the cake and frosting are not overly sweet that I can actually eat all the frosting. The cupcake is soft and sweet and leaves the best taste. Service is impeccable. My daughter loves Elizabeth and the cashier over heard my daughter's excitement saying she saw her. The shop was amazingly decorated, and they had an amazing harry potter cake on display. They had a number of items to try on display, they were out of one item I wanted to try but we got everything else we wanted to try. A reason to come back!! We liked everything we tried from teas to pastries. Just as a heads up they serve drinks in cups for dine in only it seems. So plan on hanging out to enjoy your items. I was impressed by this and I was referred by another cake company that was going out of business and had nothing but good things to say. Personally the experience I had was okay, nothing amazing and the cake itself left a lot to be desired. For the amount of money spent I was expecting to really be wowed. Overall I would say the decorating was done well but the taste was not great and the cake texture was off. I wasn't the only one that said something either. Did we eat it? Yes. This place has really won me over. The atmosphere is so elegant and trendy, but it doesn't come off as pretentious. The staff is friendly and Jordan is really helpful, especially when you're struggling to choose from all the tempting pastries on display. Cody, the store manager, is always interacting with customers and jumps in to assist his staff whenever necessary. I can't speak highly enough about this place. Almond croissant- 10/10 flaky perfection. My favorite thing here. Chocolate hazelnut croissant- 10/10 fantastic. I am not typically a chocolate treat lover but holy cow... this converted me! Lemon blueberry scone 10/10 I love lemon anything so it was unsurprising that this nailed it for me. The balance of lemon/blueberry is perfection. Wild berry scone 9/10 berry anything is a winner for me. Strawberry scone 9/10 it has strawberries enough said. Hot chocolate 10000/10 this hot chocolate will ruin all other attempts at not chocolate. I am convinced that God himself came up with this recipe. It is that good. The ambiance hasn't changed. It's delightful as always. I've seen a number of new faces since this location opened. Today is the first time I've had something other than five star service. It's been a few months, since we've been in but it was almost like going into another shop. Usually, or at least in the past, each of the pastries ordered, like the Parmesan leek or a scone are heated. And for my country sausage pasty and scones that is true. So I guess three of seven isn't bad ratio, But the 2 spinach and feta and 2 Parmesan and leek were not heated. The bread was room temp but the filling was cold. The London Fog with oat milk tasted, well not only weak but it clearly was lacking something else because it tasted completely different than every time I've ordered it in the past two years. I'll count it off as new people or even as a policy change but it was a disappointing experience. You may wonder why I didn't just mention or say something, We had already started eating our cold pastries and based on the reaction I got when I asked about the milk we had ordered for my toddler I honestly felt it would either fall on deaf ears or that they simply had had a rough time and I didn't want to impose on them. I also just simply didn't think it would get made any better. For a 50$ Father's Day breakfast I'm happy my husband had a great time and enjoyed it even if I was unhappy. read more

Being a pastry fan (or an addict, lol), it was evident that I needed to stop by TLB while visiting DFW, TX from Las Vegas, NV! I found the bakery on Yelp, and was excited to try the strawberry creme scone. And my second favorite, which ironically is not baked, but the London Fog latte. Both items exceeded my expectations. The scone was perfect warmed up, since it wasn't dry like many other scones I've tried in the past. The scone was buttery, flaky, with a touch of sweetness. The creamy latte was made with almond milk, which to my surprise, wasn't overly sweet. The latte had the perfect amount of Earl Grey loose tea leaves inside a metal mesh tea ball. I could taste the high quality flavor, wished I had asked what brand of tea that was. Regardless of what brand the Earl Grey tea was, I will definitely revisit TLB the next time I am in town. The splendid ambiance alone, would persuade me to return. However, customer service was mediocre. The female cashier working on a late Friday morning seemed overwhelmed. Not sure if she was a new employee (based on the fact that she kept on asking her male colleague multiple questions, during the 7-minutes of my ordering). I bought A LOT of items, to gift to my brother & his partner. I purchased mint-chocolate chip, peanut butter & snickerdoodle cookies; PB brownie, as well as Ooey gooey brownie, apple pie cinnamon roll, almond croissant, and blueberry lavender scone. During my ordering, the cashier got a little impatient, while ringing up the various items. She could have easily been more patient & asked me to wait for her to find each item on the cash register.
