I stopped by Mendocino Farms for lunch and ordered the Thai Mango Salad with chicken, with the dressing on the side. Overall, it was a decent salad, but it didn't really stand out. The ingredients tasted fresh and the portion size was good. Getting the dressing on the side was a good move as I had some leftover for later. The space itself is nice though. There's indoor seating, and they also have outdoor seating that's perfect if you have a dog with you, which is a big plus. read more

When you walk in, you will see the menu along the wall where you wait in line to order at a register. We will give you your number and a drink cup for you to grab your drinks while you wait for your food. I personally have never waited a very long time for my food . They usually are very quick and efficient. My go to is the Thai Mango Salad, it is delicious! One of these days I will try something else, but this one is so good. I can't resist it every time I'm there. Today my husband tried the Caesar salad with no protein, and he thought that was delicious as well. I've always loved Mendo! However, I didn't have the best experience when I ordered the Chefs special Farmhouse salad as a wrap. Initially the team member told me I couldn't make it as a wrap, but swiftly got another team member to find the button to make it a wrap for me, because you can get EVERY OTHER salad as a wrap. When I received my order, I was told they could not physically put the salad in the tortilla for me because it was a special and wouldn't create the same experience for the customer (?) so I was to assemble it myself. I write all this to say, it makes no sense and honestly it would have been better as my experience as a customer to go ahead and put the salad in the wrap (since that's what I preferred) this *one time* I understand there are rules, but if you can make every other salad a wrap, there's no reason why you can't make the "special" into a wrap as well. I will preface this by saying that we LOVE the Mendocino Farms location in Addison. However, the legacy west location seems to have quality control issues. I gave them the benefit of the doubt that perhaps our first negative experience was just a mistake (not so fried chicken sandwich was slathered in mustard remoulade sauce when it is only supposed to have herb aioli on it). They told me their mustard pickle slaw has the mustard remoulade in it. All I know is that the "not so fried" chicken sandwich I was served at the legacy west location looks and tastes nothing like the delicious version I received at the Addison location. Then we visited again and the tomato soup was a bowl of oil instead of actual tomato soup. See photos. Sadly, I don't think I'm willing to visit the legacy west location again. Mendocino Farms is so yummy I wish I could dine here so much more often! My 4 stars is simply my disappointment in the cost. The Farm Club is so hearty, delicious and flavorful. One afternoon I stumbled upon this when I was visiting Legacy West for something else and grabbed the Farm Club to go. It was delicious! So when my hubby & I found ourselves here a few days later running errands, I was looking forward to the Farm Club again. I know a sandwich can just be a sandwich, but the bread is a HUGE part and this bread holds when you eat the sandwich, it doesn't fall apart. It doesn't get soggy with the spread and the turkey has a great taste too. But ugh $12.50 plus tax for a sandwich is just too hard to swallow. While my hubby and I sat there eating our sandwiches we were both shocked and bummed the two sandwiches in front of us cost us $30! If dropping $12-$15 for a sandwich is in your budget I highly recommend Mendocino Farms! read more

I don't write many 1-star reviews, but based on my experience, MF doesn't give AF about its customers...and if the owner/manager sees this and feels offended, good, because same. The single (required) star can go to the food and the clean interior from when I was able to order in person and dine in. HOWEVER - for the 3rd time in a year, most recently this week, we have placed a large group order online 1-2 full days prior to delivery date and had the worst possible experience. The first time, we reached out via phone the morning of delivery date to check on the order and re-confirm delivery timing for lunch and were told in the most uncaring voice "Oh yeah, it looks like the system just canceled it, that happens sometimes." No apology. No "How we can help to make this right?" ?Does MF even want our money or nah? So since you had the contents of our order, we asked you to make it now, and we sent someone to pick it up which was 1000% less than ideal, and a workaround we had to suggest. No discount, no comp items, no "Here's a dessert because we messed up many people's schedule and don't seem to care." 2nd verse, same as the first and an even larger order, so we just pivoted to another restaurant who was able to get us food immediately. 3rd time was this week, largest order of all. Day prior to delivery, I added my order to the group that was created on your site. Was informed and saw that confirmation was received for all orders, but delivery day the order disappeared from your system. More of the same apathetic unhelpful response on the phone. Again, a smaller local business managed to take our order and deliver with a tiny time window with zero issues. MF, you must know by now there are reoccurring issues with your online ordering system - but how you handle it is also on you. Teach your people how to respond and react instead of adding insult to injury. We place large food orders often, and next time someone suggests MF, I'll make sure they hear this story first. read more

So after an underwhelming initial experience, I decided to give this location another chance. I saw that they had some new exciting Summer Menu items so I was excited to give them a try! I got the Street Corn Chicken Sandwich and the Oaxacan Potato Salad. On my initial visit, one of my main gripes was that the chicken wasn't really seasoned. Today that was absolutely NOT the case!! The rest of the order is how they earned this two star review! Out of five sandwiches, only two were correct. We had more wrong orders than right ones, and one of those wrong orders had enough garlic aioli for all five sandwiches. The toast was soggy, the wrapper was soggy--honestly, it was like she was eating something soaked in soup! Was it an old sandwich, maybe left over from another order? As for the cookies, they were a bit of a gamble. Some of us got perfectly soft, chewy cookies, but one unlucky friend--let's call him Sean--received what can only be described as a dry, crumbly cookie fossil. I had to write this review on behalf of my son, he absolutely loves this place. He keeps asking me when we are going to go back to the place with the Not So Fried Chicken sandwich! That sandwich is his favorite and it is unlike any sandwich he has ever had. He says it has just the right amount of everything. I can never seem to get a picture of it since he quickly eats it before I can pull out my phone! I personally like the Vegan Bahn Mi sandwich it is very flavorful for a vegan sandwich and the sauces complement it perfectly! The spicy curried couscous is very delicious! Wow, what an incredible experience at Mendocino Farms in Legacy West, Frisco! I had the Chicken Parmesan Sandwich, and my mom went for the Black Truffle Turkey Club. Both were absolutely delicious! First time trying this place out. Got it via Uber Eats. Vegan Bahn Mi and chips and a lemon cheesecake cookie and corn chowder for a friend. I enjoyed the bahn mi which even had vegan aioli. There was a nice Smokey char flavor which came from either the panini or baked tofu. The soup looked nothing like the picture and seemed a little coagulated. Not sure about the flavor but it wasn't finished so I guess that tells the story. They liked the cookie well enough but said they didn't get a cheesecake or even a strong lemon flavor.
