This is a long over due review. One of the best places to eat in the Colony Service is always great and the food is even better. Fresh and amazing, you'll feel like you're visiting a friend's home. Which is probably why my favorite person to go with is my Ladybug. Hard to comment on the food other than to say everything is good. Yummy... we've always driven by this place but never thought to stop until recently. We had gotten out of church and looking for a breakfast spot. Searched Yelp, saw this, looked at photos, and decided to give it a try. The space isn't huge inside but there is a bar inside and a patio as well. We were seated immediately. By sitting at the bar, service was definitely quick. The waitress assigned made sure my coffee mug was never empty too long. Many restaurants serve Segafredo coffee; this one is an exception and serves Community Coffee. While I have had ups & downs with Segafredo, I have never had a bad cup with Community Coffee. I made sure to finish my third cup before heading out. For breakfast, I was in the mood for pancakes, so I ordered the combo. With two eggs, two strips of bacon and a sausage patty, the two buttermilk pancakes was definitely more than enough food. Don't bother going to this place to eat. The wait staff doesn't care about their customers. I took my parents and grandma here hoping for a good breakfast and was very disappointed. They took forever to take our drink order and then ignored us for the rest of the time we were there. Our waitress didn't even bother to take our food order. She ended up taking care of another table that sat down after we did. We spoke to the manager and she didn't even care about our experience. Came here for brunch with my dad. Ordered the Brisket-licious omelette and could not recommend it more. Even the plain white toast was delicious and worth writing home about. Cooked to perfection and it was so so tasty. Ordered the cinnamon roll french toast too and it blew my mind. Totally recommend. It was really busy, but it wasn't too loud and the service was still timely and quick. Our server Rachel was so sweet and friendly, cracking jokes to surrounding patrons and making people smile. It was super good! We went on a wednesday late morning, around 11am. They weren't all too busy, and the staff are always super kind! They were attentive and the time they gave between check-ins were good, allowing us to pick what to eat and not have to wait too long! I got the cinnamon roll french toast and it was super good. So glad this cute little cafe is near my home! I first door dashed an order from here (Nutella crepes) and they were amazing. Once again this place was so good I went 2 days in a row. I got the traditional eggs Benedict and doctored up some grits!! Legit so good!!! The coffee is also really good. It's byob until they're able to start serving alcohol. The staff was so friendly! We loved our waitress Jacky!! And the manager is pretty amazing herself! This has now become my go to spot!! They also have lunch but I haven't had their lunch yet. read more

Kids and I stopped in for what we thought would be a quick bite. No matter how busy, we've never had a problem with service. We didn't have to wait long to be sat or order. The food was delicious when it came out almost an hour after we ordered. (Had to be close to 45/50) mins. I was about to cancel our order and leave. We weren't given any updates I had to finally flag our server down bc he hadn't even stopped by to check on our drink level. All he said was there were a few orders before ours. We ordered toast and eggs. It should not have taken that long. I believe he forgot to put our order in. When the food was delivered to the table by someone other than our waiter. She said there was a slight hiccup in the kitchen. The wait was terrible but could have been made better by refilling our drinks and keeping us updated. But instead I had to reach out to see what was going on. Hoping this is a one time occurrence and not what's to be expected from dining here from now on. If the server had owned up to forgetting to put the order in. I could or would have just cancelled and went to one of the many fast food options in the area. Or offered a complimentary order of fries to nibble on while the mistake was addressed but that didn't happen. We ordered the kids traditional breakfast and the kids French toast. And the French toast combo. Nothing intricate or Too involved. And waited almost an hour. You can tell the restaurant is overwhelmed by the owner or managers state. He's friendly but walking around frantic and frenzied. Hopefully this gets adjusted moving forward. We've always enjoyed coming here but my kids asked that we never come back here. I just moved to the colony! I loved this cafe.... It's a lovely vibe as soon as you walk in. Greeted by the amazing staff! The waiters were quick to bring my coffee it was very good! I went with the country fried steak, scrabbled eggs and hash brown! The fried steak was golden crispy to perfection very tasty, sides were good my toast had enough butter... I was very satisfied! Our usual breakfast spot was a little too busy, so we thought "why not try that new place?" They seem to be a little understaffed so I wouldn't have been bothered by slow service but the wait time for food, refills, checking in on us etc wasn't a problem at all! Our server, a young lady whose name I forgot to catch :(, was very sweet too. I appreciated that they accommodated my request to not put eggs on the veggie skillet. The textures were all good and the veggies were very fresh but it didn't seem very well seasoned. Portion was still reasonable. When I requested hot sauce I was offered cholula, Tabasco, or the house made salsa - I tried out the salsa and found it very very mild, but still looks pretty so I attached a pic haha. I thought the strawberry crepes were not too sweet, which is how a crepe should be! A little tangy. The cream cheese filling is actually more like a frosting. Strawberries are all fresh. My SO got the meat lovers bowl with over easy eggs and agreed that his bowl was under seasoned. Side hash browns were apparently not great but the bacon was good. I liked their coffee! Food is amazing but the prices I saw today on Uber Eats are $10 higher than they were (on average) like a week or two ago. For example, I was able to get 3x ham steak meals for $35.97 but today I'm seeing the price for the same meal as $21.74 ($65.22 for the same 3x meals). WTF! I live in the area and have driven by numerous times and have been meaning to stop in because of the great reviews. Unfortunately my experience didn't live up to the reviews. Our waitress was very good and friendly! However the food was not as good as I thought it would be. I ordered the egg/pork chop meal. The eggs and hash browns were great but the pork chops didn't taste great and I bit into gristle more than once. My sister in law got the avocado toast but the avocado wasn't spread all over the bread, just on the middle. My brother did enjoy his Nutella and banana crepes!
