I have tried to visit this store within the last year, and I am thoroughly disappointed again. First it was stale bread. Now, the franchise owner has increased the prices, prior to the tariff increases, and reduced the meat portions. Customer service was excellent, friendly, and patient. He reviewed the order in detail to confirm everything was correct before driving up to the window to pay. It was a refreshing change to actually sit down in the restaurant and eat opposed to ordering delivery which i typically do. The service was great, the store was clean and our sandwiches came out with the bread still hot and i had endless amounts of hot sauce to lather my sandwich in. Every time I've taken my mother to this location they have been so disgruntled and proceeded to bicker with her about trivial things. Got a few coupons for Schlotzsky's new sliders. I'm a sucka for sliders so I had to try them. There are 3 choices of sliders to choose from: Sweet n' Sassy Brisket, Hawaiian Brisket and the Chipotle Angus. My coupon was for 2 sliders and a drink for $5. I wanted to try 1 Sweet'n Sassy Brisket and 1 Hawaiian Brisket, but was told that I could not mix and match; both sliders would have to be the same. Sucks, but ok. I order 2 Sweet N' Sassy. The cashier recommended this one to be the most popular. MAN OL MAN!!!! They came out hot and juicy; the brisket was tender, the cheese was melted just right, the grilled, diced jalapeno's and onion were perfect; just the right amount of kick. These things are DELISH! I could have used a bit more brisket, but for $5 I'm not going to complain. UPDATE: 2 days later the hubs and I used another coupon. Don't judge me. I was craving those sliders, plus I wanted him to try them. We had a coupon for buy 4 get 4. We ordered 4 Sweet n' Sassy and got 4 Hawaiian Brisket free. If I could give 0 stars I would. This was one of the worst experiences I've had at any fast food or restaurant environment. I have never eaten at this store in the past and honestly this ruined any experience I will have with Schlotzsky's again. My husband and I went there for lunch and he has never had this before so he didn't know what he wanted to eat. The lady on the register was an older woman and had a very bad attitude and was not wearing a name tag. She didn't greet us, ask to take our order, and just stared at us until my husband said something. When he would ask her a question about how their coupons worked (we had a few) or a sandwich she would snap in an aggressive tone a short answer. Before he was done she snapped at him loudly "Are you done ordering?" When we gave them the coupon for a free pizza she angrily thrust it back to me and said, "You can't use this. It's buy one get one free." We had no way of knowing this as the coupon had BOGO with no explosives what the abbreviation means. The worst part is another employee, possibly an manager was hearing and seeing the exchange (he is the one who told her why the coupon won't work) did nothing to calm this exchange or correct her behavior. We ended up leaving the store disgusted with this woman's attitude and behavior towards customers. I am disgusted with this stores employees attitude to the point if she was wearing a name tag I would have reported her to the company. I will never deal with this store again and will always reflect on this visit in the future. With around $6-10, you could get a satisfying and healthier meal that will actually fill you up than McDonald or other typical fast food chains. I've tried many things from their menu and everything tastes great. My favorites are their soups, sandwiches, and salads! To be specific I like their fiesta chicken sandwich, tomato basil soup, broccoli cheese soup, potato soup, and any salad. Their salads are especially good for your money because they are cheaper than from other places and they are BIG! I've tried one of their pasta and it was really good other than that it was little too salty. But you really can't go wrong with any of their food. I love Schlotzsky's food, but last night had the worst experience at the drive thru that I have had ever. When we arrived, we were greeted normally, but as we were ordering, the drive thru worker named Brianna talked over us multiple times when trying to place our order. She then claimed she couldn't hear us. Could it be that maybe you kept talking over your customer as to why you couldn't hear the order being placed. My 16 year old son leaned across me on the driver side to place his order to no avail. When I got closer to the speaker and raised my voice to be heard, she then snapped at me and was extremely rude and sarcastic about not being able to hear. When I pulled forward, she snatched my credit card out of my hand at the window and whipped her hair around to show her frustration and attitude. I asked to speak to a manager at that point. She first responded that she was the manager and then later told me that her manager's name was Curtis and that I could talk to him the next morning. She raised her voice and leaned out of the window to explain why it was ok for her to talk to any customer in this manner. I understand technical difficulties and that there can be issues with the drive thru system but that in no way gives someone the right to be blatantly rude and disrespectful, especially to a frequent customer. read more
