The honey glazed donuts are sooo good and fresh. We keep missing the Boston cream because they sell out and don't make more but the glaze they continue to make all day. Also the eclairs were soo yummy too. They have egg sandwiches too. Pro tip, get a box and ask for the warm ones that just came out.

Nothing much else to say other than it's a pretty good bakery and it's been here for years! Surprisingly the dessert in the middle tastes better after having the after-taste. Same goes for the Baclava donut. The glazed is sometimes a little too sweet, but still good. Also, sometimes from what I remember the cinnamon and sugar could be greasy, but I haven't tried that one in a while. I've tried their sandwiches before as well and they're delicious. Service is awesome and everyone is kind. There are some tables of two to sit at near the windows.

Amazing donuts that just melt in your mouth! Donuts are incredibly soft! Plenty of other sweets Treats at this bakery! Honestly The softest donuts I have ever had! First time here and I will definitely be back in the future! So mad I didn't know about this place until recently! I have been missing out!. Donuts are delicious and always fresh. I always get a jelly and glazed donut when I come here. This time I got a raspberry crumb coffee cake and it was amazing. Staff is friendly and bakery is clean.

Love these donuts! Brooklyn Baking is located in the same plaza as an Aldi's and Burger Kings, as well as a Frankie's hot dogs. There's a lot of parking available. I arrived late, which u think was about 11 on a Sunday, and there was little left. No premade sandwiches, and not a lot of variety of donuts. But what they had was delicious! I had one sugared donut and it was a little chewy, light and fluffy, and so much sugar. I almost reached for another without thinking because it was THAT delicious! Definitely a local treasure.

LOVED everything we got. The donuts were fresh, light, delicious and had just enough flavor. We loved the lemon one and cinnamon sugar. The coffee cake was also delicious. Light with a crunchy topping. The prices were excellent. A great find in a strip mall.

The donuts are the best here. My brother and his wife bring us donuts from there. I haven't had a good donut like this in a long time. This is the only place I like my donuts from. I can't comment about the service or how the place looks like because I haven't been there yet.

Has there ever been a time where you felt like you cheated when reviewing a place because you knew how good the place was and knew that business had a reputation for being one of the best in the country for what they do? For me, this is that review. This place is ALL the hype! I live in the area, but I unfortunately never really get a chance to come here because I'm awake having to leave for work long before it's open, and it's not in the part of Waterbury I particularly come by too often. I have had these before, but it was always my mother bringing them home. However, today I finally decided to come and have these myself as I am heading to New Haven while typing this out, and today is the day I give this place a proper review. From the moment I walked in, you can tell how busy this place is, but also how welcoming the atmosphere is. And yes, for the Mr. Krabs people out there, we do go to a restaurant for its atmosphere as well as the food. But back on topic, you can tell that not only is it welcoming, it's also a place of history. The Bakers Table you walk by while in line is over 100 years old and it's worth taking a read into to get a sense of how this place came to be. You can buy bread here too, and I actually did buy a loaf because I had run out the other day. If you get the small rye, you will have to slice the bread yourself. Then we get to the displays, and it is so clean and fresh. This is further proof that this place takes great pride in what they do. As I perused my way through, I knew I needed to try something more than just the donuts, so add a chocolate marshmallow cupcake and the cream horn to my order please and thank you! Finally, it came time to consider my choices for the donuts. In the past I've had their jelly donuts, and they are best when you have them chilled. But the donut that was really calling my name was the lemon-filled donut. Wanna know why I wanted that one specifically? Because for me, you can NEVER go wrong with a lemon-filled donut. I prefer that to jelly any day of the week (nothing against the jelly here though, just a personal preference). I actually ate one of them as shown in the photo I took of it and it was divine! So yeah, easy to understand why this is on the list of best donuts in the nation. Between this place, the donut shop I went to in Grand Central last fall on the way back from a rave, and Rise Doughnuts located over in Wilton, it's tough to choose which of these three places I like the most. But onte thing I do know is that this donut shop is one of the best donuts I've ever had.

These are honestly my favorite donuts in CT. These donuts are addicting and one of a kind. They're soft and fluffy and SO good. We get these for a special treat but those calories are so worth it! I even made my husband get up early the day after our wedding and drive up 40 minutes to bring them for our guests for our after wedding brunch. Everyone loved them. The staff here is always great and so friendly. They've got breakfast sandwiches and cupcakes and other breads and baked goods. If you like, you can also have a cup of coffee and enjoy your donut with a friend as they've got a few small tables and chairs. A Waterbury staple! My favorites are the honey glazed and Bavarian but you honestly can't go wrong with any of them!

The softest doughnuts around. A box from this bakery never lasts long at home! The jelly with powdered sugar as well as the honey glazed are our top two favorites. It is an easy enough detour off of 84 to stop in to this bakeshop.

Okay the donuts are the star of the show here. They are soft like pillows! My boyfriend's favorite was the Bavarian powdered donut. I really liked the glazed and Boston crème. We also got a bacon egg and cheese which looks like they are premade? But I'm sure they still very fresh and recently made. The bread with the sandwiches was also soft. I will be dreaming about the donuts until I can return! Cute and clean place, love the little relics of the bakery's history and the staff was friendly.

This is my first time coming here. The employees were nice (Lauren was great) and they had a wonderful variety of cupcakes and a small selection for donuts. I got a pina colada cupcake and a honey glazed donut. The cupcakes were right inbetween being sweet and non-sweet. The donuts were more of a bread texture I wasn't the biggest fan but I would be willing to try other things here next time.

I stopped in today to grab donuts for my coworkers and was amazed. The smell when you come in the door is to die for. You can tell everything is freshly baked. I arrived at 8:30 and they were already running out of items...so the earlier you arrive the better. When I arrived at work to share the deliciousness.....the response from the team was epic. They love Brooklyn baking. I heard stories about when it was in its original location. So much excitement and joy came from these donuts. They are an institution, their quality is top notch and their service exceeds expectations. Need I say more?

Today was my first time coming here due to it being a bit out of my way in the morning, but since I was going to work a little later I decided to stop in & i'm very glad i did! I ordered a BLT and it was amazing, the bacon was nice and crisp with just the correct ratio of mayo & the LT, bread was also perfectly toasted, only issue was that it was a bit small for my liking (lol). I didn't get any doughnuts in fear of eating them all on my ride to work but I will definitely be returning to try the rest of their items they have to offer. Service was a bit slow but friendly so it made the wait a little less dreadful. read more

Hands down the best bakery I have ever been to in CT!! Their donuts are to die for, light, doughy, crispy, fluffy, all at the same time. Their bread is nostalgiac...like the bread my Nonna would make when I was a kid. Mmmmm. Give it a try, you wont regret it, but you will find yourself thinking about it often. read more

For me it's been very hard to want to try anything in this little bakery beyond the jelly doughnuts because they are THAT wonderful. The taste and texture of the doughnuts are very much what I remember from the old school bakeries growing up in Bridgeport, especially Bambi's Bakery, known for huge jelly doughnuts. The size of Brooklyn's doughnuts is a bit smaller, but OMG - the texture of the dough is like a cloud, pillowy goodness without a greasy aftertaste in your mouth. The doughnuts are filled with REAL jelly, not that thick raspberry goo that some places use. The glazed doughnuts are just as terrific. The breakfast sandwiches are served hot and fresh with quality ingredients (you can absolutely tell by the taste), and the last time I was there I tried the toasted cornbread - a must! Another one of those places that is worth the drive from anywhere. read more

This place is fantastic! We decided to come here because of the yelp reviews, and it did not disappoint. My fiancé and I love donuts (we've gone to all the good ones in the area, donut crazy, Whitney donut, Neil's donuts) and this place is right up there with them. We got two egg and cheese sandwiches, which were amazing. Their homemade bread is delicious! We also got a Boston cream, honey dipped, and jelly donut - all of which were fantastic! I wish they had more varieties / flavors of coffee but that's not a big deal. Overall, we loved this place and will definitely be coming back. Check it out! read more

Hands down best donuts I have ever eaten. The bismark (we grew up calling these Berliners) is a thing of legend! Best thing ever! The bread and other baked goods are excellent as well but I don't often go for anything other than the donuts. I will however give a nod to their BLT... if you want a great sandwich it doesn't disappoint! read more

Went to this bakery today and everything looked and smelled fantastic! I ordered 2 donuts (very tasty) and a breakfast combo (eggs, toast, CHICKEN sausage, potatoes) I was very adamant about NO PORK. I waited for 20 minutes just to over hear them say my order was on the floor being stepped on so they didnt know to make it. Nobody came to explain or apologize for my wait or even offer me a beverage while waiting, another 15 minutes goes by and I had to ask about my order. Finally it came up and the only thing I was asked was did I pay yet? How rude. Then I go all the way home just to find out they put pork sausage in box so I couldn't eat my food. I own a food truck and I would never treat customers like this. An apology or recognition of the problem goes a long way. Very disappointed read more

Love their pastries and little pizzas. Very happy I can get jelly donuts without the powdered sugar on them, since sugared donuts are very messy and the extra sugar adds nothing to the taste and detracts from the enjoyment of eating donuts. Highly recommend this bakery. read more

I come here for the doughnuts but always end up taking home some bread as well. Everything is very fresh. Just make sure you get there earlier in the day to get the full doughnut selection as they are very popular and I've seen quite bare shelves by mid afternoon. My favorite bread is the Connecticut bread with some nutmeg in it. Mmmmm.....carbs. read more

Such amazing service and desserts. I got 8 dozen donuts for a work meeting and I picked them up on a weekend morning when they are more busy. I assumed I would have to wait since my pick up time was at 830. It was packed but when I went to tell m them I was there for my pick up they had it all ready and labeled which ones and in a box not a bag that could break. So great. I love this place. read more

Been here about a half a dozen times already and am yet to try everything,because everything I try I have to experience again. This brings you back to the bakeries of your childhood The sights and of course the smells are just what a local bakery should be. Thus far I've had the breakfast sandwiches(perfect),donuts(OMG)breads and assorted pastries. Everything is just amazing. What happened Brooklyn Bakery? When I first discovered you two years ago, your doughnuts and turnovers were superb and your cakes absolutely incredible. However, the last time I bought apple turnovers, there was little or no apple filling inside. The doughnuts have also been lacking - only about half the filling there once was. I had ordered a coconut cake for my father's birthday in November, 2015 and it was superb. However, I ordered another one last August and it was the worst cake we ever had and ended up throwing it out. Very little cake, no coconut and nothing but mountains of buttercream frosting. In effect, twenty-two dollars down the drain. Sorry, but have to find another place that bakes like you used to. read more

One of the best bakeries in Waterbury. They have been here for a very long time, this specific one is relatively a new extension of the original in John Street. My husband grew up eating their doughnuts and breads. If you are on the area you should definitively try them. Highly recommend it! read more

I would consider myself an equal opportunist when it comes to a donut it's very difficult to make a bad donut. Unfortunately this Bakery version have a jelly donut was nothing more then a greaseball. I wrapped it in four napkins and in under a minute the grease had soaked through all 4 napkins. Need i say more! read more

Every time I go to Waterbury . I have to get my banana pudding fix at the Brooklyn Bakery at Reidville Bakery! I just need the small $3.50 size to feed my craving. I will go out of my way for this stuff...it is amazing. I have never even tried anything else because I can't get past the pudding! When visitors from Manhattan come I ask them to bring me a large container. Fortunately I am the only one that likes it so I get it all to myself! They have a few locations in the city. The donuts here are the best around! I can never go back to dunkin. The cakes and fantastic- my favorite is the butter cream. Everyone is super friendly except for one manager Joann who is always on her phone and seems to only be friendly to certain customers when she calls them honey. Very good bakery. Everything is made from scratch so you can be sure what you buy will be fresh. A nice change in CT where good bakeries are few and far between.
