BYOB Italian strip mall atmosphere. Service and food is amazing. The staff ensures your dining experience is superior.

They really couldn't keep us away if they wanted to. We are back again with a 10 outta 10 meal. Maybe my favorite dish so far ,pasta Arrabiata, I did get with without the sausage. So f%^€ing good and highly recommend if you like pasta with a little kick. BYOB ,vibes were great, service was great. If you still have not gone I really don't know what to tell you, best food around honestly...

Penne vodka. 6 inches across. One inch deep.

ordered penne with vodka sauce to go. alum pan it came in was 1 inch deep (never saw that before) 6 inches round. Came with peas . The dish was 30.00!!! No meat or anything. two little pieces of bread. I thought it had to be a mistake. I contacted restaurant. It was not a happy ending. Off our list for sure.

Looking for a new place to go and found this restaurant nearby to our house in Seaside Park. Was not expecting anything spectacular and boy was I surprised! Every dish we had was on point. Started out with the fried calamari w hot peppers....nice and light, crispy..delish! Onto our dinner.. I had the seafood pasta which was delicious over fresh pasta my son had the kids portion of chicken parmesan again with homemade pasta the sauce was delicious and the pasta was amazing. My husband had the chicken parmesan with vodka sauce over pasta which he also raved about. For dessert we had a cappuccino and espresso and an Oreo cheesecake that my husband wanted to order another one it was that good! Definitely a Hidden Gem and we will be back

Penne vodka with peas, pasta was house made, amazing!

It's BYOB, so you can bring your own liquor, but they also make amazing sangria there, which is $20 for a pitcher.

Came here on a Monday night…read more Service was great, super attentive, the lady was very nice and great understanding of the menu and recommendations. Appetizers were great, ordered probably half of the appetizers on the menu, all were great. I really like the calamari and the giant cheese balls. I got the spicy rigatoni with a crispy chicken cutlet and the drunken parm, very delicious, large and had left overs. Definitely coming back, food was flavorful and the service was great, super easy and simple!

It's on the left hand side in a shopping plaza, just off Fischer Blvd heading East. They have a small waiting area, but once seated, it was spectacular!! Ashley was one of our servers. Friendly, attentive and totally professional. We started with apos. We had the fried Calamari with a red sauce. Excellent. My son had their special, fried Calamari with a hot Thai sauce. Yummy Of course water, bread delivered to the table. It's a BUO ! We also had the large Caesar salad. Delicious and plenty for 2-3 guests. Then came the main course. I had the lasagna. I haven't had Lasagna in decades. I usually get seafood or Chicken Parm. Spectacular dish. More than half came home in a doggie bag. Tomorrow's lunch. They brought out the Belgian Chocolate Mouse, no antlers with birthday ornaments and sang Happy Birthday to my wife. Everyone's meal was enormous and leftovers abound. We already are talking about going back again. THANKS

Overall, a great meal the lentil soup was a little disappointing, truthfully to bread and butter…read morewas a big highlight the Butter was a creamy butter was so good. Another disappointment was the olive oil and garlic was an add-on appetizer. The fact that the Parmesan cheese was a shaker and not a grater was a little bit of a disappointment as well I got the Italian trio which was meatballs, sausage, and egg eggplant over pasta. Everything was perfect all so good my partner got shrimp Parmesan, which she loved so both of our dinners were a 10 out of 10 dessert was a little bit disappointing the carrot cake was not up to what we wanted. It was a thicker cake with a lot of raisins which we don't like but other than that the dinners were fantastic.

I had the paccheri with peas prosciutto and mushrooms. The pasta was cooked perfectly. The flavor was fantastic. It was creamy and cheesy. And the serving size was incredibly generous. My salad was fresh and the Caesar dressing was nice. Service was on point. The restaurant is pretty and we sat next to the fountain with a view of the rest of the dining room. Honestly this restaurant is worth the drive. Next time we are down the shore, we are coming here.

Is this the best Italian restaurant I have ever been to?…read more Actually, yes, it is. And I have been to a lot of Italian restaurants. The wait for a table was 45 minutes, but it was worth every minute. The food was delicious, the service was impeccable, and the atmosphere was wonderful. We ended up being seated in a back patio room and though it was very hot outside (one of those 100 degree days last summer), it was actually very nice in there. The show started with someone asking for our drink order, then coming back with said drinks. After that she brought out some starts on the house, courtesy of chef and owner Joe. We were off to a great start! Soon after she returned to get our dinner order. After that, Chef Joe himself showed up to our table to thank us for visiting his restaurant and ask how we liked things so far. We let him know those starters were perfect...eggplant balls and a corn/tomato salad. Eventually our dinner came. Both dishes were waaaaaaaay more food than either of us expected. I had ordered chicken with mozzarella squares on top and drizzled in balsamic, which was a special created by Chef Joe's wife, according to the menu. My partner got eggplant parm...and wow, what a pile of food it was. Two huge eggplant pieces piled high with delicious sauce and served with some delectable pasta. Chef Joe came back to the dining room awhile later to ask people how their entrees were, and we let him know this was a great experience. I want to go back to Point Pleasant just to get here again. This time I will make a reservation.

What an experience! Spano's is exactly what you'd want an Italian restaurant to be. The food is…read moreamazing. The customer service is exceptional. The ambiance is perfection. The night started with Joe Spano, the owner, stopping at our table to bring several little dishes before we even had a chance to look at the menu. The meatballs (made with actually no meat but rather eggplant) were pure sorcery...like so good there aren't words. He noticed our wine bottle (it's BYOB so come prepared!), and by pure coincidence, it was his favorite bottle. Joe asked to show another costumer because they had been discussing wines earlier, and he wanted to make sure they got to see the label. If that wasn't personal enough, the walls are adorned with black and white framed photographs of family from back in the day to the present. The environment is clean, well-maintained, and cozy. Every bite we had was exceptional and the portions were huge! We left contently full but with plenty of leftovers. I'm quite sure every meal will exceed the expectations of even the pickiest of eaters. Our server, Brian (or Bryan) was new but attentive and informative. He spent time talking with his tables and being personable while also making sure everyone was taking care of. Overall, I highly recommend experiencing a meal at Spano's at least once....but after your first bite, you'll likely be making your next reservation before you leave (like we saw many people do)!

From the moment we walked in, everything felt special -- the atmosphere, the décor, the energy of the room. It was warm, elegant, and inviting without ever feeling stuffy. The food was absolutely outstanding. We started with the **Wagyu meatballs** and **clams casino**, which were flawless. For our main courses, my girlfriend had the **lobster risotto**, and I ordered the **ribeye (cowboy steak, bone-in)** -- truly next-level. I also had the **macaroni and cheese** as a side, and it was phenomenal. Every bite was five-star. What really elevated the entire experience was the hospitality. **Maître D David** made sure everything was perfect and that we were completely comfortable throughout the night. We also had the pleasure of meeting **Frank**, the creator behind the restaurant. Spending time talking with him about his vision, how he built Rue 561, and sharing stories about **Brooklyn -- Flatbush and Sheepshead Bay**, where my girlfriend has roots, made the night even more meaningful. You can feel the pride and intention behind every detail. If you're celebrating something truly special in life, **this is the place to do it**. Thank you again for an incredible New Year's Eve dinner. -- **Billy Irish**
