BYOB Italian on the Jersey Shore. Located in a strip center next to a grocery and liquor store, this is where you find the locals coming for dinner: had a reservation for a busy Monday night. Food was top notch and very plentiful so be ready to carry home your leftovers! "Pasta Rags Sinatra" was the pick as the table favorite! Ambiance is nothing fancy but the tables were accommodating and comfortable.

This charming Italian restaurant is located in a bustling strip mall. It's BYOB and it offers a new take on a pizzeria restaurant. When you enter, it looks like a traditional pizzeria, but when you go through the doors, it's a cozy, welcoming Italian restaurant. Service is exceptional. The place was packed so reservations are highly recommended. Now onto the food: they make authentic Italian dishes at reasonable prices. Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious. I recommend Agrodolce calamari. And the chicken cutlet Parm was delicious. End the night with some Nutella cheesecake.

Such a great dining experience! It's BYOB but there's a liquor store next door so we were able to get a nice bottle of wine for dinner. After we were seated, we got fresh, hot homemade bread to dip in the olive oil and spices. Then we ordered lobster ravioli and orecchiette with broccoli rabe and sausage. They came with a fresh garden salad too. Both dishes were very very good but there was no way I could eat all of my pasta! The staff was so nice to box it up for me and even find us a cork that would fit our prosecco bottle to take the rest home. Service was good- fast, friendly and professional. The place was nicely decorated and clean. While reservations are not mandatory, it gets very busy so it is good to have one. Besides the meal, my husband got a Coke. We were too full for dessert. Total bill with tax came to $57. I thought a good value for such good fresh food!

We visited this strip mall pizzeria/restaurant on a Saturday. We had a 5 o'clock reservation but still had to wait about 20 minutes (maybe a little more) to get seated. The place was packed. We brought a couple of bottles of wine, which was nice since it's BYOB. It took another 10-15 minutes for them to take our orders and about 30 minutes after that to receive our appetizers, but honestly, it was all worth it. We tried several appetizers, including fried calamari, eggplant rollatini, and clams casino. For our mains, we had burrata ravioli, lasagna, and veal Parmesan. Dessert was cheesecake & tiramisu. Everything was excellent. I'd give them a 4.5 if that was an option.

    Chicken Ciambotta was amazing

Local gem, great food , good ambiance not to noisy, very family friendly. Service was quick and good. This place will be 5 if they had alcohol. They have a liquor store next door and that helps but I'm just not a fan of byob. Also they took us without reservations on Mother's Day. Chicken cambiota was a great dish

Classic strip mall Italian joint! BYOB, with a liquor store right next door. Service was prompt and very friendly! They were able to accommodate a group of 4 on a weekend without a reservation. Generous portions ranging approx $20-$30 per entree.

Lubranos always hits home for me. I can always know that any pasta on the menu will be delicious. Service was slightly slower on a Wednesday night, but I think it's because of the larger group. Very much a family and homey interior, is not too spacious so feels very good. Highly recommend the agrdolce.

Cavatelli with chicken and broccoli - needs a little more seasoning love.

So....we waited 30 minutes....not terrible because 1. We spent the time shopping for wine to BYOB 2. The young man who took our names to alert us was apparently the owner's son and was super nice. When we were seated all was well until it wasn't. *Positives, The bread was delish, the sauce for the calamari was outstanding, the server was nice (kind of felt he was putting on an accent to play the role though - I know sounds weird, but true) and the bus boys attentive! -Negatives: the food was just ok. I'm sorry, but I really wanted to like it! The pasta was over cooked and my husband's dish needed more seasoning. Still worth taking home because homemade food is still honorable leftovers, but I would give the whole experience a 3.5 out of 5. I respect this establishment because it's a family owned business but I guess my expectations were just a little too high. The best of luck to you all.

The best veal parmigiana around. Plus, the hot bread (which they bake themselves) before the meal is very tasty.

I literally said to myself as I drove around Somerville that I wish there was a wine or cocktail bar for...mature people like myself to chill at. So I looked up wine bars and boom - VintEdge was right down the street. I came in around 9pm, picked a comfy seat by the window, and ordered. Can you believe I had never had an espresso martini until that evening?? So my first was a pumpkin espresso martini. Well I may have had 2. And another drink. Ahem. The service was great, not fussy, and I wasn't rushed even as we approached last call. Visit 2: having heard about my great experience there alone, my cousin arranged to meet me there last week. Or so she thought. Through a series of mutual miscommunications, I was here at the crib waiting for her, while she was at the wine bar waiting for me. I've always heard good things, and I thought the food stood up to the reputation. The restaurant was packed on a Monday night, which was probably a good sign for what led to a delicious meal. I really enjoyed the roasted oysters topped with yummy breadcrumbs. My daughter enjoyed a sushi appetizer and wedge salad with blackened tuna that she claimed was delicious as well. Our other dinner partner enjoyed his halibut. I really loved the show-stopping, gigantic jumbo lump crab meat risotto. It was very filling, but super delicious. The food was rich and, in some ways, basic, but executed perfectly. I added some of the street corn and that really made things even better get this dish. You won't be disappointed. The atmosphere was busy, if not hectic. Our table was in the middle of the room, next to a large family with little kids. One was seven months old and the other was two. That seemed like a bit much for a dinner with these price points. It's not an inexpensive restaurant and certainly not a family-vibe Houlihan's. We had mixed feelings about the atmosphere, but I kind of thought it was cool--a really pretty building with some rustic charm.

We chose to sit in the enclosed veranda at the front of the restaurant; Amelia's is located on Ocean Ave. and has some beautiful views! We started with a few cocktails - my partner got the Lavender Martini, which she said was very good. I got the Pineapple Margarita, which was excellent! I saw meatballs on the menu - I always order meatballs when having Italian cuisine (Amelia's represents itself as '...a blend of old school Italian and contemporary continental cuisine..'. They were some of the best meatballs I've ever had. Amelia's blends pork, veal and beef for its meatballs - they're tender and seasoned perfectly! The marinara was excellent and there was a dollop of ricotta to stir into the sauce. It was an epic appetizer! For our entrees, I ordered Wild Caught Shrimp Oreganata with mixed vegetables and garlic mashed potatoes. The shrimp were butterflied and quickly grilled - they had a plump, tender interior with a grilled exterior, in a delicious sauce. The potatoes were very good, and while I'm not a big fan of the mixed vegetables, they were good. My partner ordered one of the specials - the Lobster Capelinni. - 6 oz. of lobster on top of angel hair pasta with a delicious tomato-brandy sauce! We couldn't believe how much lobster was on the pasta - it was tender and very tasty! After 2 excellent entrees, we decided to try the desserts. Unfortunately, that was a mistake. I ordered the Carrot Cake (one of my favorite desserts) and my partner ordered the Chocolate Cake, one of her favorite desserts! My 'carrot cake' wasn't a cake but a conglomeration of icing and thick layers of 'fudge-like' cake. Visions of a fluffy, rich cake with freshly grated carrots and 'warm spices' flew out the window! My partners chocolate cake was dry and not moist at all - I've had Duncan Hines chocolate cakes that tasted better!! While the desserts were a big disappointment, the meal was excellent and we will return to Amelia's on our next visit to Spring Lake.

This was by far the loudest "fine dining" venue I've ever visited. I don't usually whip out sound meter apps in the middle of dinner, but the noise level here was so extraordinary that I was moved to check it out: Average sound level at our corner table in the main dining room was 83 db, with peaks to 89. That's a shout-to-be-heard sound level, equivalent to using a blow dryer or standing at the bar in a very loud nightclub. The table and conversation noise was exacerbated by a wall-mounted speaker that pumped out bassy, thumpy, club-style dance music that was completely inappropriate to the venue. Other than the noise: The table was set with dirty water glasses that had to be sent back. The service was polite but hectic. The server said, "I don't mean to rush you, but I want to get your order in before the large party next to you arrives." I guess it was considerate of him to anticipate a slowdown and want to get our orders in, but in a well-managed dining room this shouldn't have been an issue. He ran off with our dinner order before the one member of our party who wanted a cocktail had had a chance to order it -- she had to "collar" him later to put in the drink order. The food quality was mixed. One of our party thought the lobster bisque was very good, and all thought the fried calamari appetizer passable in terms of tenderness and flavor. I had the filet mignon. It was a good piece of steak, but cooked closer to medium-well than to the medium-rare I'd ordered. It was also a bit difficult to manage with the blunt table knife supplied - a steak knife would have helped. The accompanying spinach was lukewarm; I got the sense that the plate had "rested" a few minutes too long before being brought out to the table. Desserts were reasonably good, but not great. Total time spent was just about two hours, and the place showed definite signs that the staff were eager to close down and go home when we left at about 10:30. Mercifully, someone turned off the music.
