Finally. I'm so glad beauty salons are open. Since I was in the area, I decided to go to this place since its the closest beauty salon and its right across from Trader Joes and had some snacks I need to get so its very convenient. I went in to get my eyebrows threaded and get a wax. My eyebrow threading went by smoothly. My eyebrows looks really nice but didn't like that the lady didn't bother to massage my eyebrows once she puts the aloe. All the other places I've been to usually gives a mini massage on your eyebrows. That was supposed to be the best part. As for the waxing. I don't know what kind of wax they have because my skin was very irritated afterwards which never happened to me before. Probably never going to comeback. read more

I was in the neighborhood and noticed that I needed a clean-up on my eyebrows. I took a chance going here for the first time since I've never really had a bad experience with eyebrow threading in the last 18 years that I've had it done. There were only two staff members but there wasn't anyone else waiting so I was attended immediately. So my left eyebrow came out okay but I have a small cut on the lower end. The right one was removed a bit too much in the mid-area but at least I don't have three eyebrows like the time I waxed my eyebrows for the first and only time. I have been coming here for several years to have my brows done and this is by far my favorite threading place in the NYC area. I have been getting my brows done here for about 6 years. I usually go to Sarah but I have had others thread my brows here and everyone has been detailed and great. I always receive compliments on my eyebrows - especially when I go away and that really makes me feel great. I know others that have had eyelash extensions here and they were very happy. I have never had this done here because I do not have a lifestyle that would want to upkeep the lashes. read more

I had a great experience at BROOKLYN Brows! Had been wanting to check them out for some time now since I work nearby. I hadn't done my eyebrows in over two months so I was quite nervous to thread it but I did. I finally stopped in on a Saturday afternoon and there was no one there (probably because they were all lined up across the street waiting to get into Trader Joe's, smh). this is my go-to place for eyebrow threading. i moved here from california and was really nervous about trying out a new spot for threading because my eyebrows are very high maintenance and i am VERY picky about the shape and thickness of my brows. i was relieved when i found this place because they consistently do a great job on me. i can't vouch for their other services, but their eyebrow threading is great. my go to person is Mithal, she does an excellent job and is very sweet. this place is also great because they give you punch cards, so every 10 visits your service is free! their services are also very affordable which is nice. i'm happy to have found a place that i can rely on for crisp brows :) read more

I can't believe this place. I came here a handful of times the last who did my eyebrows was sweet and I told her exactly what I wanted cause I did it before. I grew my eyebrows out for about two months just so I can get them down cleaned up and looking full. I told her exactly what I wanted. To not take any off she agreed and she knew She would just clean and leave the rest. Well she got extremely motivated and decided to take off almost everything. It was the most painful threading ever. That's when I knew she was going HAM on my brows. I'm so disappointed, I looked up at her and then the mirror and I said you didn't even try to listen to me you agreed and still proceeded after I said no. That's blatant disregard and disrespect. She said she wanted to give me more shape and it was bushy. I told her that's not up to her to decide if I was clear on what I wanted !I can't believe you just did this. I'm so upset and I wish I didn't give this place a dollar for ruining my brows. I really wish the owner was available to speak to about her being this dismissive and she knew damn well not to turn that screen for a tip. This review is more like 3.5.. Just $7 for eyebrows is a steal but also too good to be true. I came in here despite just looking for eyebrow waxing. I was seat right away but the woman asked if I wanted threading instead. She said it would be more precise and cleaner. I've never had it done before. The lady spent a decent amount of time on my brows (they might have been a hot mess). Also I didn't realize threading hurts this much. Honestly, I'd much rather do waxing than threading. When she was done, I looked in the mirror and realized that there were some stray hairs but also my brow shape was now straight (at least the left one was). I typically keep them curved since that's the natural shape of my brows. I'll probably come back again since $7 is awesome and after 9 visits, you get a 10th free! read more

I took over a year off this place after they screwed up my eyebrows in Sept 2013, and said oh maybe they had a bad day and out of convenience started coming back. cut to yesterday, where I go back for my 4th thread/wax combo (I wax the big area underneath and go back with thread to clean up because ish hurts) I'm in the chair for under 60 seconds when I feel it. The girl ripped off HALF my eyebrow. From the arch down, there are 5 hairs left. You don't know this about me, but my brows USED to be 'on fleek' and were kinda what I was known for. When I sat up and saw it, I immediately got flushed and upset. She at first said they looked fine and then said she'd 'make the other side even'... no thank you! I got up and told them they could expect no further business from me as this is the 2nd time they messed up my FACE and I wasn't going to be a fool for the 3rd time. i would never post a bad review for something minor but this is BAD! my niece went to get her eye brows done and they severely burnt her eye. we went back in after we noticed it was more then just normal redness from waxing, asked for a refund and they said "no, the wall says no refund, it's just red" and laughed it off. she was with a group of her friends and they also made the comment about "annoying kids". under her brow is extremely red and swollen, also a cut above both brows. it doesn't even look like she got them done, it just looks like she got her skin ripped off. If I can give this place no star I would. Actually, I give this place a 0 star even though this is not an option. I decided to get my eyebrows threaded at this place. I showed the lady a picture of how I want my eyebrows. I am particular about how I want my eyebrows, which is the reason I showed the lady the picture. After my eyebrows were done, the lady did the complete opposite! My eyebrows are now straight. I needed to fix my eyebrows so I decided to pluck them at home to get some kind of arch. I will continue to fix them tomorrow. I am so disappointed. I will never come here again. I recommend other people not to come here either. Also, the fact that the cost for eyebrow threading is 8 dollars is ridiculous because I payed less than this somewhere else and got a better result!
