I used to really like this place but something changed and it's not sanitary - the sign outside says they never double dip the wax but the new lady working definitely did. there was dirty stuff everywhere and a reused tray and roaches. it used to be really clean here but the standard is not the same. we also had a misunderstanding about what service i wanted which was intrusive to get the wrong type of wax. read more

Horrible. I went in for eyelash lift, tint and eyebrow tint. The eyebrow tint looked ok but faded quickly. The eyelash lift was extremely painful. The lash tech couldn't get the perm off my eyelash without the chemical getting into my eye. She used water to try to get it off at the end when she noticed my discomfort. You're not supposed to wet hair 24 hours after a perm job. To make matters worse only my left eyelashes were lifted. When I asked her why she said they would lift when they dried but they never did. I've been having to use an eyelash curler on one side. I suspect this happened because she used water to get the perm off. As for the eyelash tint, it was as if she didn't even do that part. I can't speak for their other services but save your money if you're thinking of getting any eyelash related treatments. read more

I was searching out of desperation since my last experience was horrible. I wanted to go to Unique Threading in Manhattan to see Sona but I did not have that much time so after much consideration, I wanted to try Perfect Brows. It was semi-empty when I walked in but the place was extremely clean. I asked for Fnu and was told she wasn't there. I was also informed she may be on maternity leave but I couldn't confirm that information. So I was left to be a guinea pig as I allowed Jilba to do my eyebrows. She greeted me with a nod and a smile. Didn't say too much. Actually, she didn't say anything at all. I feel bad for saying this but my expectations were kinda low at first. Not because she couldn't do a good job but I just I wanted my brows to be done a certain way (leaving some thickness, symmetry, etc). All she did was confirmed my request with a nod. But I was very pleased with the results! Jilba did listen to me and really did an amazing job. I love the shape of my brows. I would go back to her in the future. The only "eeeeeeeeh" moment was when I inquired about getting eyelash extensions and I had questions but I don't think the questions were understood so I decided to not get them. But I would definitely go back to Jilba specifically for brows. I just hope she doesn't leave and go somewhere else, lol. It's hard these days finding a good eyebrow tech. I get my eyebrows threaded by the fabulous Fnu who does an amazing job with her deft, skilled and precise surgeon - like hands. I've had threading done for years and trust me when I say if not done by a skilled technician this procedure can hurt like.... hell!!!!! ... like a million red fire ants biting on the follicle of your hairs. But not with Fnu ! Lying back comfortably on her slightly reclined chair , I can almost fall asleep during my threading session. It's so quick and so painless . While you are there get your lip threaded too - why not ! Fnu has sharp eyes too and noticed details other technicians missed like the fact one side was thicker then the other. Well Ladies I have one word of advice...Fnu! Fnu is my go to the lashes and brow tinting girls! I am very selective however will follow my sense of adventure! I happened to be in 7th Ave and decided to see how the salons are doing face there. So I sashayed inside. The "salontique" was very clean and nicely but simply done. My first visit was on a say when a group of filthy mouthed teenager girls were waiting for one friend yes I said one friend was getting her eyebrows threaded. I almost left in disgust due to the non paying entourage of the ringleader of the FMG. Something said "no, stick it out" I am so happy that I did! That is when I met Fnu. Fnu waxvery apologetic for what I patiently endured. She asked me what service was i interested in. I answered "lashes, not butterfly wings but natural looking lashes. Well Ladies, this is my new place for lashes!!! My lashes actually last the 2 weeks that Fnu said they would m ( with one touch up in between) I love the way she removes the lashes, saving your own lashes in the process. I was excited to try a new place for waxing, especially with such great reviews. I was disappointed and didn't find it to be as good as similarly priced places. Pros: Clean. Generally friendly. Cons: I called to make an appointment. While I showed up 10 min late (parking is terrible), when I arrived I was the only one waiting while one customer was being finished up. Someone arrived after me. When finished with the customer in progress, the employee brought me to a room and told me to get ready (aka get half naked). After that, I could see on the camera that she proceeded to help the other customer for about 10 min. Why have me stay in the room with my pants off when I'd have to wait? I felt uncomfortable and got dressed. When the employee returned, she seems surprised/annoyed that I was not ready. Beyond that, I think the wax was fine, but various small hairs were left; generally, these are removed with a tweezer or thread at other places. read more

This is my first eyebrow threading place since pre-covid so I decided to give this place a try after finding them on Groupon. It's in a great location in Park Slope right across Millennium High School. At first I was there for only eyebrow threading but I saw a good deal on Groupon for eyebrow threading and tinting so I purchased it on the spot while I was waiting. When it was my turn after a 15-20 minute wait, I presented my Groupon and explained I was there for threading and tinting but I was told not to purchased the Groupon next time and they would honor the same price. I was a bit confused as to why they would advertise on Groupon but tell their customers not to purchase the Groupon as this was mentioned in a previous review. In fact, I don't think my eyebrows were done that great to give them a 2nd try and I'm not sure if it was because I purchased the Groupon.... and the threading strings were all over the counter and my seat had something wet before I sat down on it and I wasn't sure if this was hand sanitizer but it freaked me out a bit with everything going on covidwise. read more

I've always been weary of getting my eyebrows done because they're thin and I'm not that good at filling them in. A friend recommended Fnu at this location and now I refuse to go to anyone else! Had a great experience with Fnu! Shaped my eyebrows in a way that was easy to fill in with a pencil. Took the time to trim them, too. Also got eyelash extensions for the first time. Fun answered all of my questions and made sure I was happy with the way they looked before leaving. Got a Brazilian wax here and the wax technician reprimanded me the entire time about how coarse my hair was and how it was bad that I used veet. I have gotten many Brazilian waxes prior to coming here, but this wax left me with a lot of ingrown hairs. I am prone to them, but this is an absurd amount. I've never had this many after a wax! I question the abilities of my wax technician that day. There is this lady from Tibet who works there and she is FABULOUS. But she wasn't in on the day that I went, so I suffered. read more

I booked a Brazilian with this location after purchasing a groupon. It took some time for me to book this appointment because I was afraid to get this done after having had a horrible experience elsewhere many years ago. Not only was this location extremely flexible with the appointment, they were also more than happy to accept the groupon and treated me like I was paying full price. Fnu took care of me and made an embarrassing procedure quite funny and stress free. The fact is you cannot be modest when having a Brazilian, but Fnu made me comfortable and put me at ease. Go here. Its great. Every time I get my brows done here I walk out looking like an Instagram model. Threading is pretty painless (for threading of course) and even my picky mother loves this place.
