I didn't get any writing on the cake, as I already had a Happy Birthday candle, and I didn't want to add extra icing to the cake. I liked how well they package the cake. The box was large enough, and they line the bag with a thin piece of cardboard to stabilize the box. I'm not a big sweets person, but I enjoyed the chocolate-y richness of the cake. It is so clear that they use incredibly high-quality ingredients and carefully curate each component, which is exactly why everything comes together in such an elevated way. The tomatoes reminded me of the ones I grew in my garden during California summers as a teenager. Perfectly salted, layered over soft, not-too-tart feta. The focaccia was made with beautiful olive oil and, while a bit chewier than I usually prefer, gave the sandwich a satisfying bite. I had to close my eyes while eating it just to savor it. She was incredibly kind and understanding, and to my surprise, she was able to provide me with a fresh Black Cake right away! The moment my daughter and I tasted it, we knew we had found something special. The cake is rich, moist, and perfectly spiced. Every bite is full of authentic flavor and pure delight.
