    She's in recovery now

Great experience during an emergency ! We came in at 12am and we were seen immediately! The doctor and nurse was very nice and transparent My dog's anal glands ruptured and she got an infection. She was not eating or drinking water all day. She was extra fatigue and bleeding from her bottom area. It was very scary! The doctor cleaned the area and gave her pain medicine/ antibiotics. Starting cost for an examination is $244. The cost ended up to be $575 after cleaning the area and the cost of the medication. This might be higher because it's not a primary vet. Because this was an emergency, Im happy that they are open 24/7 to help relieve her pain. Definitely worth it to me Definitely recommend this place if your dog is having an emergency.

What is their fees for CCL ligament Repair for a dog?

My dog had the procedure in December, and it was around $8,000.00 including meds. If you have a small dog I would advise you to take your dog elsewhere – his surgery was unsuccessful. He is still lame and they want to charge me all over again.

My cat got a PU surgery and cystotomy. Regardless my cat will have to wear a cone for a couple of weeks baseline. The vet tech that gave me discharge information said that if he wears the onesie that he will not need the cone- this was extremely negligent advice and I had to correct her that the surgeon and I spoke that it was extremely important that he wear a cone and not take it off for weeks. This "little mistake" is actually huge and you have to advocate for your animal because they have way too much going on and the people talking to me are not the people working on my pet. The vet Sienna Perro that initially helped with the treatment plan was very emotionally led and would continuously interrupt and get flustered when asked important questions, her responses were like talking to ChatGPT. I understand a lot of the time there cannot be a direct answer but the way she delivered information was egregious- basically along the lines of "your cat could be dying but your cat could also not be dying, this could never happen again or this could happen again, this could help but this could also not help, it could be stress or it could not be stress at all- like great thanks that's not helpful or insightful at all Lastly the bill came out to $10k and they gave my baby back covered in piss and smelling absolutely horrible. If you want a quick update on your pet who's in their care forget it they only go on their own time they have way too much to deal with. Good luck

He harmed her by treating her for a symptom that was-not-my chief complaint, was not anywhere at the top of my very pressing and clearly expressed concerns. Dr. Bloomfield gave my cat an injection today for a symptom that was not even present, despite the fact that I texted, emailed, and verbalized my chief complaint & worrisome concerns to both to Bond Vet and directly to Dr. Bloomfield. My little cat is experiencing GI sensitivity. Over the past 2 days she's come very close to not-eating-at-all-for-24-hours, is sleeping a bit more than usual and is showing a near total DISINTEREST in eating. My little Missy is less than 5 pounds. She's very tiny & adorable, but also very frail (experiencing weight lost and near her complete limits). I was told by Dr. Bloomfield (and confirmed by his assistant) that Cerenia was an appetite inducing stimulant (and if it worked as hoped), would last for 24 hours. Seeing the lethargic, disoriented condition of Little Missy, I Googled Cerenia. It is NOT an appetite stimulant, it's PAINFUL (upon injection), causes LETHARGY and Disorientation. Why did my little Missy need this? Let alone Dr. Daniel Bloomfield did not handle Little Missy's body with compassion and respect; treated her tail like it was a handle (literally tugged on her tail) during the exam to get a look at her tush; not aggressively, yet, absolutely-not-gently. His "consult" was very fatalistic, he ignored my concerns, ignored my cat's smaller symptoms that -are- treatable to improve the quality of her life & instead was hyper-focused on her senior age. Both his dismissive and inattentive behavior during the consult and the Cerenia shot were harmful. Dr. Bloomfield caused Missy distress, sedation and disorientation. He worsened the very symptoms we came to him to address (with an extra "side" of disorientation that Missy did-not-have prior to his "treatment").

My usual location was fully booked, so I decided to try the Park Slope location since they had a few available appointments. It was my first time visiting this location. The staff were friendly as always, and for a Saturday afternoon, the clinic was quite busy but still well organized. Felicia, the veterinary assistant, and Dr. Caldwell were both amazing kind, attentive, and patient. My tortie was a little shy and stressed, but I knew she was in good hands. My most recent visit was a different story. I saw a different doctor and vet tech and felt disconnected throughout the appointment. Afterward, I noticed incorrect information on the visit summary, which they only send after you leave, so there's no chance to review it in the moment. I explained that one of my cats began experiencing loose stool days before her food was switched, but the doctor attributed it to the food change anyway. When I corrected her, she just smiled and shook her head. She then recommended a round of testing even though I told her the stool was already firming up. Reviewing past summaries, I also noticed my cat had barely gained weight, yet the doctor framed it as a major concern (she's 9 pounds and almost 2 years old). For my other cat's shedding and dandruff, they recommended a mousse at a $20 upcharge. I have pet insurance, and this still isn't a cost effective place to go. I never want to sacrifice quality of care for my cats, but the pricing feels excessive. I originally planned to book a televisit, but a televisit alone is $98, which I find ridiculous. Since an in person visit is only a little more, I just went into the office instead. My cats are used to BondVet, so we may return, but I will not book with the doctor from this last visit again. I know the cost isn't the fault of the vet and she was kind to the cats so that's a plus.

I immediately sent a message to one of the chat representatives, and they called me. I was a little concerned about the financial portion of this visit. But I was advised that there was something called cherry pay. I was very interested in learning about this financial program. Elijah was very helpful over the phone and he was the one who taught me about this financial plan. Elijah seemed very caring over the phone as well, so I'm not sure why other people were giving him such a bad review. He was nice to me I don't know I appreciated him very much. I could understand why people would not like the receptionist desk. But at the same time, the people that I spoke with were very nice to me. It didn't feel like a cash grab location. The cost of his medicine was way cheaper on chewy, but you have to expect higher costs when you're going to a vet hospital. The guy at the front desk may seem like he's mean, but he's actually a sweetheart. I thought he was really nice and he made some jokes with me here and there. The lady who helped us with the medicine. She was very pleasant as well. I appreciated her greatly. Since I thought my pet was having an emergency, they were able to book me on the same day. I was able to promptly make my appointment at 3p on a Sunday. I had to give them a debt card for some reason but it was never charged. I'm guessing the charge was to just hold my place. I got to the location at around two forty five, because they told me to come fifteen minutes before my appointment. We got there at around two thirty five and within five minutes, we were called into room number four. Vet tech helped us for 15 mins waited another 10 to 15 to see tje doctor. The waiting room Is great, a little noisy cause of the 7 train. I personally am used to the noise because I've heard that train my whole life. You will hear other people with their patients no matter what room you are in, so if you care about privacy a lot this isn't your place. But then again I hear everything because I'm sensitive to sound as well. My cat did wait calmly to be seen. I appreciated the vet tech letting Cj out of the box calmly. We spoke to one of the vet techs and told them what was going on with our little c j that isn't so little he's actually a big boy. The Doc that we've seen was Dr. Kim. I'm not really sure how to pronounce his last name but its ghangsa. Doctor kim absolutely loved our cj because he is a big maine coon mix. He handles our big guy with a lot of care. And as he was checking him out, he thought he was so cute, because he was such a big little guy. And whenever he was, oh, looking at his belly ans legs or having to move his legs and having to check his bladder, my cat would always look back at him and he thought that was funny if the cat was checking on him to check on me. Dr kim was very patient with me, I didn't feel rushed at all. He answered all my questions. Showed me detailed information on the ultrasound that CJ did. I just didn't like that I was able to hear my cats rectal exam in the next room. I have an anxious cat who doesn't like loud noises. My cat was yowling when then did the finger rectal exam. My boy was pretty backed up. But thankfully they did a no cost ultrasound on his belly. No stones and just debris from natural urine. But his stool hard as a rock, poor big guy. The total for his visit was $640 with a $30 discount it was 610. Thankfully cherry pay is only $46 a month for the 12 months no APR. After the doctor comes in you go over a payment with another rep, I can see why some would think this is cash grabish but it wasn't. They only did tests I approved of, I will write a second review once I hear about how they did with Cj results. Please see the breakdown of his costs, I didn't post his full name that's why you see the blocked out space on the photos. They cut his nails without asking, which is fine would have liked a heads up on that. They have wifi instavet_guest with password PETLOVER. That's a great feature to have in a vet place. There is no app to look at your pets results. I was told I'd get emailed all his blood work. I was emailed the invoice. I did setup the cherry pay online. This will be my ER place for my pet in the future. They cost a little more than our home vet at steinway court vet. We normally pay under 500 at our home vet. Since it was a Sunday and our big guy seemed off we wanted him to be seen ASAP. Their hours are great.
