Had an amazing night of music at Paramount. The security were so helpful getting us inside, and since I recently had surgery, we were escorted to a lovely staff member who took us to a small seating area. I'm usually not one to sit through a show but didn't have much of a choice this time. It was such a pleasure to be in this gorgeous theater with friends and enjoy a show! The bars were all over the venue so there were barely any lines and they had a ton of choices - both alcoholic and non, as well as snacks. We can't wait to come back. read more

My favorite venue in all of New York. The venue is beautiful. The architecture is gorgeous and so large. The acoustics are good. They staff give out freebies sometimes which is nice. I even once got free alcohol, snacks, sandwiches and that's never happened to me at any other venue. I appreciate the easy access to water too as they have water jugs and cups at every bar ( 3 of them). Such a great venue. I also love that the bar is so close to the stage so it's not a hassle to leave and get a drink. The area is sloped so it's not hard to see from the back too. First time at this venue and if it weren't such a trek in from Long Island, will probably go back for the right artist. Gorgeous atrium when you walk in, and bar is conveniently located right there (there is a 2nd bar inside) Prices were pretty decent (got 2 drinks - tall boy PBR's for $28) and line moved pretty quickly. Even though I'm old now and GA standing room only will make or break an event, it was very nice having a sloped floor so you could see over some of the taller people. Acoustics were great, lighting was fantastic. Will be returning for sure. read more

Beautiful theater. I liked the number of bathrooms, the number of different rooms and bars, and the location near many subway lines. Bartenders were really nice. Good security experience. Coat check line should've had more kiosks given they required phone verification- I ended up holding onto my coat. Good selection of beer, hard seltzer, and na options, although prices are high expected. Sound quality was not great (could not hear the singers over the bass) and I hope they adjust that. read more

Overall rating: 5 I LOVE THIS CONCERT VENUE. I don't know the history, but I would love to do a tour here if they offer it. Finally found an artist to experience the magic. The coat check is $7 fyi and the drinks are $25 which unfortunately is the average price now. However the beautiful stain glass windows are breathtaking and there's an incline at a certain point that helps you see over people without being in the front. Highly recommend! read more

There need to be rules around concert etiquette. I was 5 rows back from the stage and all of the phones being held OVER people's heads completely blocked my view and I'm six feet tall. I feel like I wasted all of the money I paid for my ticket because I barely got to see the artist. With a stage so low to the ground, something needs to be done about sight lines. Came here last month to volunteer with Compassion for a Tye Tribbett concert, & my sister brought my nephew as guests with bought tickets. We were all very impressed with how gorgeous it is inside!! We also loved how intimate the space was. No matter which seat you had, you were nice and close to the stage. I came here on a Sunday night to see Corey Holcomb live. When I walked in, I was very impressed with the venue, it looked like an upgraded Kings Theater. It was very spacious, had lots of bars, and was newly renovated. The part that I loved about it the most was that they were countless bathrooms, so after the show there was no line for the women's restroom, which is rare at most places. It's conveniently located across the street from Juniors and is accessible by public transportation. I even found parking about 4 blocks away. The only reason why this venue lost a star was because the seating is very tight and there was no shoulder or elbow room. I felt like we were crunched up like sardines. read more

I went there last year and this Friday to see Hiatus Kaiyote. The theatre is really beautiful, bathrooms are clean and the staff is professional and friendly. It's annoying that they don't let people into the theatre until after the posted show time. The sound quality was great last year. I'm not sure what happened this Friday but it was really awful. Venue looks great inside, great looking lobby, clean bathroom although far from main concert area...BUT this place has THEE worst sound quality I've ever witnessed. The music sounded very muddy, Napalm from Hiatus Kaiyote who is always awesome When I see her perform, sounded terrible. The music just sounded like a Collision of noise, walked out after the 6th song of the set, I couldn't take it anymore. Noticed other people walking out also. Would not go back there again read more

Such a cool venue! All general admission, but there are a few side rooms with couches/chairs if you need to sit down and take a break. Everything was clean and relatively efficient in terms of getting into the venue. read more

Kes the Band- The show was awesome and I enjoyed it. B2B played some classic soca, thank you for that. Women outside the venue giving out the drink wrist bands-Horrible attitudes. I could not find the young lady inside with the drink wrist bands, so I went to the white women to ask her if I can get a drink wrist bands because I could not find the one she was referring to indoors. With a nasty attitide she said "she right there" so I gave it back to her and she had the audacity to tell me I do not have to be nasty. I told her I was matching her energy. One of the security guards did not see me walk pass her without checking my bag (very dangerous) imagine someone getting through with a weapon. I stood there to wait for someone to check my bag. The attitudes of the two wrist workers outside was unbelievable, they can use some customer service training. I was there to see Kes and the Band. read more

Its definitely pretty and the back being raised is cool but so much to hate about this venue. That stage is ridiculously low, no matter where you are standing you won't be able to see. Which also leads to everyone just raising their phones. So if you're late you're screwed. And the sound is incredibly subpar either too low or too bassy. On the same level as t5 and Webster sound wise Bathroom line is always terrible at the end of the show doesn't help its all the way downstairs and there is only one. If the show is sold out, forget the venue doing a great job getting people in. The opener or even will be on and you'll still be in line. Location absolutely sucks. Love that central to lower Brooklyn has a venue besides Kings Theatre but its also in one of the highest traffic areas of Brooklyn. Architecture is beautiful but the practically of the venue is terrible. Honestly I would be more forgiving if that stupid stage wasn't so low and it wasn't hard to see read more

Beautiful space and mostly good sight lines. They did a great job at the show I was at to not be unnecessarily loud--no easy feat for a hardcore show. There were a bunch of sound problems though, levels were off, singers mic wasn't on for the full first song, etc. read more

Beautiful theater. Live Nation (and perhaps others) returned the theater to its 1920s Art Deco beauty. Previously, the orchestra seats were removed and the building had been the Long Island University basketball court. The show that we attended had folding chairs in the orchestra. The hallways and restrooms are very nice, similar to the vibe at the Kings Theater. read more

Such a beautiful theater. I was captivated by the ambiance of this place. I went to see Tye Tribbett concert and it was really nice. It was cushioned folded chairs in the space which was not leveled. So if you do get tickets and you're shorter I would recommend balcony seating. The place is small and intimate so any place is a good place. read more

Saw NOFX here for their purported last show ever in NYC. This venue is one of the most beautiful I have ever seen, with purple lighting on the ceiling. Amazing atmosphere and sound. The security were super competent with people riding on top of the crowd, they never looked upset about having to pull them over the barrier. I have seen security get tired of having to work so hard lifting people who would otherwise get hurt if they were hurled onto the cement. Everyone who worked here was super polite. Can't wait to attend an event in the future. read more

This venue is beautiful with a very chill atmosphere. We had G.A. tickets, which I do often. If you are near someone with too many drinks in them, it may dampen your experience but that can happen anywhere and it happened to me here. With that said, I recommend seeing a show here! Drinks cost almost as much as a ticket to get in. 20 bucks for a Manhattan...and I'm in Brooklyn! Charge 14 and I would have had a 2nd. Drink before you enter or be ready to spend a lot. read more

GORGEOUS theater!!! Saw Orville Peck concert here and it was FABULOUS! The venue is huge and beautiful. Tons of bars so you never had to wait to grab a drink. The place was a movie theater, back in the day, so the floor is still sloped which was great so even if you were standing towards the back, you had a great view. The acoustics were great too. Even the bathrooms and lounge areas were gorgeous. read more

The lobby of the venue is gorgeous, so elegant. The bars are pretty. However, my wife and I paid extra for balcony tickets. It was NOT worth it. There is almost no seating, there are enormous columns, and the floors are not sloped like they are on the main floor, so anyone not standing at the edge has to be six feet tall to see anything. I was attending the osamason concert tonight and as soon as my girlfriend and I got into the door we were told "women and men" in different lines. I had asked a black male security guard with short cornrows and beige clothes; if I needed to still being in the different line since I had her ticket. This is where I was told by the security guard "I don't give a flying fuck." I then responded with you don't have to be rude and don't have to press me. He then followed with "who is pressing who" which I then said "you are pressing me." Due to his aggressive nature. He then grabbed me by my shirt and threatened me while having my hands in the air and I announced I felt unsafe and for help. I was then escorted out and told I started it by the manager because she asked two people. I told her to check the cameras and she refused I continuously said this and was met with no help after spending $200 on tickets. The situation happened in the 9:30-945 timeframe would be caught on lobby cameras I am wearing denim on denim outfit with black satchel. I would like to solve this however if I am not responded to for this event I will be forced to start with legal action; as I did not threaten or touch him first this would fall under an assault case. read more

This was terrible. a blonde girl kicked me and my friend out for no reason we went to the bathroom and that was it. we were trying to go back to our friends and instead were escorted outside. We we're asked if we had wristbands. Which we did not have, and although of age we're out escorted out for being "under age" after shower ID. read more

This is a beautiful venue and the staff is nice but the venue needs to work on some issues. Since this venue opened I have been here four times for concerts including the first night it opened. I gave them grace the first night they definitely had a new staff they were breaking in but it's now been months. The main issues with this venue is there isn't enough staff or the structure is not sufficient for the amount of people in the venue. The lines are long everywhere! You want a drink even though there are multiple bars the lines are crazy long to get a drink and the bar staff as professional as they are, are very slow. The specialty drinks are not great you can skip that. My biggest issue however is the coat check situation. The coat check line is always very long in the venue. This past weekend the line is the entire length of the lobby twice because it doubled back into the main stage area of the venue. The back of the line was close to the stage and mi big very slow. I gave up and kept my coat it didn't make sense to miss the beginning of the show to check my coat. If the line is long checking your coat the line is crazy retrieving your coat at the end of the show. On top of that security is yelling for everyone to leave the lobby while people are still on line for their coats. That is a bit of an ambiance killer when you're already on an unimaginably long line. They have to get this situation under control. Another coat check area to take the strain off the original one should be considered. The amount of people in that venue is not equal to the two people checking coats for all those patrons. It's fine in the summer when you have no jacket but in the winter time no way. Half the people in the venue kept their coats due to the long line and they still had a lot of people waiting. FIX IT PLEASE! read more

I'm happy to say that I've attended every reggae fest at this beautiful venue. The first fest was great .Security sucks. The guy who seems to be the head of Security ​is looking for a fight. A Slim built man with a beard who could be from the middle east or Hispanic. He has poor communication skills and a very nasty demeanor. He walked off with an attitude mid conversation when all I asked was what was Ellas lounge and how to get there. Also, a young woman of Hispanic ethnicity rolled her eyes and was very rude when I asked her a question. She said " I'm not a bartender " but she was behind the bar at the time.she wore a ponytail and did not look like she wanted to be there. They could use some happy faces and lessons on being polite. Balcony view sucks. Staff seems distracted but other than that, this venue is awesome read more

It's an incredible building - just going downstairs to check out the ceiling tiles is fascinating. But that didn't make it a great place to see a concert. I saw Nora Jones. I've been to two shows at Brooklyn Paramount and used ADA seating at each. The first one was excellent as we were on the floor and in view of the stage. The second was terrible as they moved ADA up to the second level where not only do you have to climb stairs to reach the seating, but also you have an extremely obstructed view of the stage. I would recommend skipping this venue for anyone who needs accessible seating and stick with Brooklyn Steel or other venues for shows read more

What an amazing venue. I'm glad it's back to its original glory hosting music. Would highly recommend a show here.
