    Small pickle

The manager made good on my previous order and I had a delicious Cuban sandwich and pickle.

Brooklyn Pickle hails from Syracuse, NY and while they've had some locations in North Carolina for some time, they only joined us in the Queen City fairly recently. While I saw some mention online about their opening, the fact that they are located in Atrium Hospital means that they are not as readily accessible to the public so they somewhat flew under the radar. Most hospital workers including my girlfriend have raved about them, so when I went to visit her at work I knew I had to give them a try. Their menu refers to both their sandwiches and subs as giant and the name is not misleading, their portions of meat are very generous. You are allowed to order half a sandwich or sub which I recommend unless you are very hungry (again these sandwiches are giant). I myself was quite hungry so I opted for a whole sandwich. I went with the BP special which comes with a blend of corned beef and pastrami along with Swiss cheese and Russian dressing, all piled high on dark rye bread. The sandwich was very good! The prices are reasonable and in line with what other delis in the center city would charge. Their limited hours and location inside a major hospital means I likely won't be able to go back often. If you work at the hospital, are visiting someone in the hospital, or if you ever find yourself having to go to the hospital, I would definitely recommend searching for them. Maybe in the future they will open another Charlotte location. I'm sure they would be a hit with the general public!

Great sandwich! Cold cuts were delicious sliced properly ( thin), the bread was very fresh, and the Russian dressing was flavorful.

I would eat here even if I was already in the hospital.

During my most recent visit, I spent nearly an hour watching a staff member greet and check on every table in my section except mine. She made eye contact with me several times but never acknowledged me or asked if I needed anything. Being completely overlooked while everyone around me received attentive service was frustrating and made me feel unwelcome. I brought my concerns to the manager, hoping the issue would be taken seriously. Instead, I felt that excuses were made for the staff member's behavior rather than acknowledging my experience. That response left me with the impression that this type of service is acceptable and that the issue is unlikely to be addressed. That's disappointing because the food and atmosphere are genuinely enjoyable, but good service should be part of the overall experience as well.

The space is bright, clean, and feels like a nice addition to the neighborhood. The biggest downside was the parking situation which is obviously more of a South End issue than a Salata issue, but it definitely made the quick stop feel less convenient than we expected. The ordering flow was also a little awkward... after building your order you end up waiting at the register while the food is assembled, which slowed things down more than it needed to. Food-wise, my wrap ended up being really good but there wasn't an option for a plain wrap, so I went with the cucumber wrap instead of whole wheat and it actually worked out great. Overall, it was a good meal, but if I'm choosing between salad spots in Charlotte I'd probably lean toward Chopt most of the time.

I walked in and no one was inside so I was able to order right away. I had a spinach salad with lots of yummy fresh toppings and the spice chipotle lime chicken. It looked as good as it tasted. The pesto chicken looked great too, but I wanted a little heat. I love their options and that you get the cute lil croissant with the salad. I had the ginger lime vinaigrette and REALLY enjoyed this salad.

Very casual atmosphere with first come first served seating. Got the Italian salad and pepperoni pizza to share with hubby. The Italian salad (4.5 stars) was filled with cold cuts -who knew. Pistachio cannoli: 3.5 stars. So small you could eat it with 1-2 bites. Tastes decent and I enjoyed the pistachios.

Pretty simple menu with a variety of options. Mostly their house pizzas with a build your own if you choose that route. It's a pretty busy place with a somewhat heavy flow of in and out traffic. Each pizza is made to order, so there is a little wait. Not a big deal. Apparently this was voted Charlottes best pizza. I can honestly say the pizza is really good. 10" pizzas are easily individual pizzas. We both devoured ours pretty quickly. They have indoor seating, but we sat at a little cafe table out front. The inside was hotter than outside. Overall this place was good. Pizza was great. Service was good. We would definitely eat here again. Recommend giving it a try.
