Food was good, that's why I love Cava! Ambiance of THIS location in particular, I would say it's at least clean. It's also in a good location because you can shop for things and grab some cava before or after doing so. Service is where it's gonna need some work. I completely understand how frustrating staffing shortages can be , ESPECIALLY during a lunch rush, but I think not projecting that frustration to the customer is also important. I love cava for how quick it can be. This visit was for dinner before a movie. I go between a build your own bowl and the kids meal. The kids meal has changed recently in terms of what is included but I'm still pleased with the option (as an adult). I got the lentils (they can be a little hard sometimes but this time they were nice and had a bite but weren't hard), hummus, I picked pita chips over the quarter pita) protein choice was chicken with cucumbers and roasted corn and garlic sauce on top. This used to be a half pita with choice of pita chips or carrots which I miss a little bit will still continue to get when I'm not super hungry. I walk in 10 minutes past my pickup time, the store is empty, and my order is NOT ready. This would be okay if it happened once. This has become a regular thing. The employees put dressing on the side at random. You may or may not get a bag. They are always out of spoons. Do you know how easy it is for management to simply increase how many spoons they get? All they have to do is add more packages to their next order, yet they are ALWAYS OUT OF SPOONS. HOW???? This cava is capable of greatness at times, perfect steak. consistent bowl. About 50% of the time now, you may as well not even order on the app. Because it'll actually be faster to go in and order from the person, even though you're 10-15 minutes late to pickup. The ambiance is fine but honestly they need some warmer light bulbs. That opinion has no bearing on my 2 star review, though. I don't know what the problem is but I would truly LOVE to make this a 5 star review as I love Cava in general but lately this location has been outputting some god awful service. First Time at Cava - Amazing Experience! After soo many people telling us to try CAVA, we finally decided to give them a try. Our 1st visit is one for the books. From the moment we walked in, the experience was great. Our server, Timi, was absolutely awesome. He took his time to explain the menu to both my daughter and I, walking us through all the options and helping us figure out which ones to try. The food was great and the restaurant was clean and well-maintained. Big shoutout to Timi for making our first visit such a great one and for allowing me to capture the moment. This was my second visit to this Cava location. To be honest the first time I walked out and didn't end up buying anything because there was a long line and one employee working. The second visit (almost 3 months later) I came right before the lunch rush and there was again only one employee working. This employee was Taylor. She's a gem but really needs some assistance from her company. No one employee should be working the lunch rush. She was in charge of walk-in customers, online orders, building and ringing out the food and restocking items that were out. There was another gentlemen working but he was strictly on cooking duty. Taylor kept a positive attitude and built me the best darn lunch bowl I could have. Again, I've never had Cava before so she was nice enough to explain the menu to me and even went so far to recommend some of her favorites like the garlic dressing which was a great choice. The pitas that came with my bowl were warm and delicious. 5 stars for the food and service but to be honest I wouldn't recommend this location if you're in a rush. read more

I love me some Cava! It's a frequent craving of mine when I don't feel like cooking, but want something semi-healthy and delicious! It's one of the best create your own Mediterranean bowl places, in my humble opinion. They have less topping options than a lot, but sometimes less is more when you've nailed the flavor profiles to perfection. Don't skip over the pickles, if you're a pickle person. Only skip the garlic sauce if you don't like flavor and don't want to become addicted. I get extra pita and dip it straight in. Soooo good! Delicious salad bowl balsamic date chicken bowl! The chicken, vegetables and rice were all in a savory sauce. I enjoyed the flavors. This was a weekday lunch time and very busy. There was a couple delays, with line prep and lunch crowd line but the food was excellent. They have some yummy cane sugar sodas. They also have house made lemonade and juice. I truly enjoy eating this type of food. It's versatile and can be very healthy depending on what you choose that's right for you. This particular location is about a half hour drive for us. I've been here about 3 times and I feel it has a nice modern and colorful asthetic inside, One big issue is that I've seen a high amount of food crumbs and particles on and around the seat cushions and it seems that no one ever cleans the tables. I've never seen large crowds there (and this could be why) but in the interim, if it's not very busy, it's like an ideal time to clean up the guest eating area and theres seemingly no urgency about doing that. For any place that sells food, this is kind of appauling. Just keep the restaurant cleaner I would suggest take- out to avoid the annoyance, but one has to wonder about the care given to other aspects of this businesses cleanliness in light of that it's a food venue. read more

I've been to this specific location three times and each time the service wasn't the best but this time specifically it was horrible. I went in two hours before they closed and they were out of so many things. I was the only customer in there and I still had to stand there and wait for a considerably long time for an employee to take my order. There were three of them in there one was on his phone, the other was just staring at me, and only one of them was working. Finally the man who was just standing there staring at me decided to come over and take my order and the whole time he was rude and dismissive. I would be more understanding if they were just about to close but I went in right at 8pm and they didn't close until 10pm. Found what was almost one meatball, a second half piece of a meatball and two smaller pieces that were broken off. That's it. I don't leave reviews but this was warranted. There is a decent amount of seating inside and outside. The speed of service was snail paced. There was just 1 person making the bowls and 1 cook. There were two others, one person at the cash register doing nothing but waiting while the other person was filling dressing in containers, all while there were 9-10 people waiting to order. Felt really bad for the 2 people working hard while the others were .. ahem.. The frescas, esp the cucumber one, looked good but were too citrus to be enjoyable. The food was decent. Most times on most days, this place is packed! Despite the crowds of people drawn to this location, they tend to keep the line moving fast which is important. Some days, lines can take longer if the customers take longer to decide on menu. But for the most part, it moves quickly every time. CAVA has an app for your phone that makes the ordering process faster and easier to avoid lines and cut down wait times. The location interior design is beautiful and has excellent use of space and seating. Fun Fact: Years ago, this was home to a Pizza Franchise location. I used to come to this same spot growing up and get pizza as a kid. It's really cool to see the space redesigned, and with a thriving business occupying the space! I love CAVA for healthier, on-the-go meals. And occasionally I have sat and ate my food here too. I definitely recommend this place. It's definitely my favorite location in Charlotte. read more

This cava could be good if they hired better employees. The employees are so rude and stand offish. Tonight the person checking me out refused to even respond to me. She was standing there yawning and everytime I tried to engage with her she just ignored me. She rang in my order wrong so I was charged more and didn't properly scan my rewards. She was covered in old crusted food and not wearing a name tag like the rest of the staff. Very unprofessional and terrible customer service. What is there not to love about CAVA! Fresh Mediterranean food on the go! Previous to the pandemic I would frequent the CAVA by my job weekly. It's just that good. Then we got one closer to my home but still not as close as I would hope but It doesn't stop me from driving the 20 mins to get it. Setup like Chipotle but the food is so much better. I don't think Chipotle could stand a chance next to CAVA honestly. Their chicken actually has flavor. It doesn't just taste like a grill. They give you a generous amount of meat or veggies unlike chipotle. More sauce and topping options. It's fresh and tasty! Honestly I can get 2.5 meals out of my CAVA bowl. Oh and they give you complimentary pita with every bowl. I usually get the chicken which is around $10 but I've had the lamb balls and the veggie bowl too and both delicious. What I suggest: superfood (mix greens kale, arugula, Brussels sprouts) with the basmati rice, 2 scoops of crazy feta, 1 scoop of harissa (spicy), either chicken option, cucumber salad, tomato salad, pickles, feta, and lemon herb tahini dressing on top. I went in for my first time. I didn't really know too much about it. It was a girl with hot pink hair that was fixing my bowl. I was trying to tell her that I did not want some of the things that were included. She didn't pay me any attention. So once she threw my bowl toward the register, I asked the cashier if the sauce and put on it was spicy, and she said yes. She kindly offered me a sauce that would make it better. I don't eat spicy things and I was unsure and she saw my face, so she asked if I wanted it remade. I said yes. So the girl with the pink hair got mad. I asked for the manager and a refund. The manager was very nice. So I didn't get to try the food. When I was leaving the girl with the pink hair was outside talking junk smoking her cigarette. I wish I got Pink hair's name. read more
