I've been waiting a while to write this review in hopes that I can say something more positive. I have eaten here many times since I started working nearby 2 years ago. Every single time I have an issue. The most common is the food not being ready. I place my orders online so they can be ready when I arrive. They NEVER are ready when they say they will be. Since the food is good I still order. I was thinking that maybe the online ordering time frames are off so the last few times I waited 10 minutes after my order pickup time before heading over. Guess what? The food still isn't ready. And not only has it not been ready but it hasn't even been started. You might be thinking that this is because they are busy. Nope. When I arrive they are just hanging out and and not working. So even though I like the food I've had way too many issues here to continue to return. read more

Absolutely love their online ordering system. I order all the toppings I want. The ranch here is good as it feels a bit lighter. Fast and convenient. Wow. What an amazing experience for lunch! I love a good fresh salad and this place goes miles over the top of that requirement. The restaurant is very nice and clean and bright. The line to get the food is super clean and the lines move extraordinarily fast even with a large crowd. I had the spicy chicken but then I saw salmon as well so included that in my bowl. There are so many toppings to choose from and the croissant is a nice way to wrap things up. It's a must have if you love a good salad or wrap. This was my first visit. The restaurant was very clean and neat but I noticed the health score was low. It was 92 but because it appeared clean and we were hungry we decided to give it a try. The food was very good. The servers were extremely nice and friendly. The food was fresh and good for the price. I'd go again but I'd like to see that score improve. It's in uptown so parking can be a bit of a challenge so I'd suggest using the parking app to find street parking unless you park in the Ally deck. read more

One thing I've noticed about Salatas is that they vary greatly between different locations in the cleanliness, friendliness and the portion sizes. I was very impressed as I walked in to this location with how clean this one was and how friendly the team was as they greeted me. I ordered a small salad with shrimp and a ton of veggies and I appreciated that they didn't try to skimp on eithers - they were reasonable with the portions. Finally got to check out Salata! Popped in really quick to pick up lunch and created a spinach and kale masterpiece. This spot is essentially a salad version of Chipotle, no complaints here. I enjoyed my build your own salad and whatever bread they give you with it was AMAZING! I was thinking about it for days after. I also tried the peach lemonade and that was really refreshing and tasty. A little pricey for a salad that wasn't from Chopt, but delicious. I think I paid about $21 before tip. Located at the base of the Ally Building, this popular fast casual salad chain quickly became a hit with the Uptown office crowd. It's easy to see why. People are trying to eat healthier these days which isn't always easy. A custom salad and wrap place is helpful with that, you can choose why goes into it so you can make it as healthy or unhealthy as you choose. Me personally I tend to spoil myself by loading up on bacon and ranch, but they have a ton of options of proteins, veggies, dressings, even the salad base you can choose from romain lettuce, to their signature medley. To top it all off you can order and pay online with ease and then just pick your creation up from their designated pickup spot inside. It's a convenient and delicious way to eat lunch. I added the herb marinated chicken as a protein for 3.25. I didn't get the salad dressed but got the ginger lime dressing and the buttermilk ranch on the side. The salad was delicious. The herbed chicken is a great protein option. It was so flavorful and well seasoned. The ranch dressing wasn't my favorite. It has a strong dill taste. The ginger lime dressing was refreshing. Food is fresh and good. Website is awful to navigate. When trying to pull up the menu option, it is overly complicated lots of tabs and instead of a nice easy to read format menu that is printable, I had to email the link to all my co-workers to choose what they wanted. All 15 people complained about the website being too complicated. All I needed was a nice printable menu, like I can get anywhere else...but no. I emailed them to ask for it and they only had a catering pdf menu. FYI, they have pre-designed salads online, not just build your own...so unless I wanted to type out their menu for them, I just had to make do. I will not be doing that again. Good portion for the price. A regular salad with chicken and a fountain drink came out to $19, which is on par with other salad places like Sweetgreen or panera. Come on a Wednesday during lunch and it was bustling. With that being said, we were in and out in no time and received the same attentive service from each and every employee. If if they were a little busy they said I'll be right with you to ensure we were acknowledged every step of the way. I love how many options there are to customize your meal. Soooo many choices and they don't skimp. If you want more or less of something you just let them know and they build your salad to your liking. The small salad is huge. We actually ended up sharing it. Even though it was busy, the moved quick and there were plenty of places to sit both inside and outside. I was taking a late afternoon/early evening walk for my cardio and realized it was almost supper time. I remembered hearing about this salad bar a few weeks ago. I got there just before they closed. Amazing service, very helpful and patient as it was my first time here. David was very professional and kind. There are so many options. It was a bit overwhelming, but I loved that feature. I just got home not too long ago and my salad is so delicious. I put so many options inside I was a bit fearful it wouldn't taste right. But it's basically my personality as a salad haha. I am going to give this place 5 stars although I do have a couple qualms. Overall the staff was awesome!! Super helpful and friendly and that is so important to me. I also loved the portion size; if I'm going to eat rabbit food I at least want a huge bowl that's going to fill me up and let me tell you this is the first time ever I took leftover salad home! They had tons of toppings to choose from! Downside--there's not much seating so you have to go at a good time. I was happy I had time to check out this place on a weekend so I know what I want whenever I may try them during their lunch rush on a weekday. First I will say, the 5 stars is for the excellent customer service I received from Lashonda. She was so friendly and patient with me as I asked to sample a few things because this was my first time and I wanted to make I liked what I was getting. As for the food, I loved all of the fresh toppings you could choose from. I got a small salad and I felt it was a good portion for the price. I didn't really like the taste and texture of their chicken as I thought it was kinda dry, but once everything was added and the dressing was put on it made it better. I would get a salad again but maybe without any protein or try a different kind of protein next time. Let's talk about their dressings. I'm a sauce connoisseur so I was very happy when I was able to sample a few selections and found them all to be delicious. I really enjoyed the chipotle ranch, buttermilk ranch, and the herb dressing that Lashonda suggested I try. All in all it was nice to try this place finally and now I can add another work lunch option to my list. Bonus: It is appreciated that they validate parking in the ally parking garage that is right behind it. Finally, I endured the long line and had my 1st Salata salad. The line was out the door but it went relatively quick. The ambience had a fresh and modern feel - definitely love the decor. They had a ton of fresh veggies to select from and there was no limit on that so I piled up. Unfortunately, I wish I was made aware of the cost of the my pricey add-ons as my salad totaled to $21 sans any beverage. The regular size salad portion was very generous that you could definitely share / save the remainder for later. For how much you pay, they are not very generous with the toppings apart from the protein you pay extra for. The croissant on the side is really good, but don't expect something full-size. They give you the part of the tomato that should be discarded. The amount of protein options they have are more than I would have expected, but I felt the veggie and dressing options are lacking for a place that specifically only does salad; I am also a big fan of fruit in my salads. They forgot my cucumber. All in all, it's a pretty good salad but nothing extraordinary. If I do go back it will be because I like their seafood medley. Edit: After receiving the reply from management about having 50 toppings, I knew there was no way that was true to what I saw when I ordered. I came here for lunch this week. It was slammed, but the line moved at a good pace. It was my first time, and I have to say, the staff did a great job explaining things and were very peppy. They had some of the best attitudes I've seen in a long time at a restaurant. Kudos to them. I got a small salad and it was plenty to last me for two lunches. I really enjoyed my creation with all of the different toppings - unlimited fruits, veggies, cheeses, etc., just an additional cost for protein. Only cons - too much dressing for my personal taste, so I would ask for less next time. Also, do not get the falafel. It is so dry and crumbly, I hate to say it, but the worst I've ever had - tasted like it had just been sitting out for days. It looked like they had some flavorful fun drink options, but I didn't notice them until I had paid - so will have to remember to check them out next time. Wanted to try this place since it's literally two block from my place. I believe they are a chain and have numerous locations. Very straight to the point kind of salad bar, you pick your base and toppings. Only thing I would say is I wish they had a menu of their own salad mixes and/or warm bowls you can try, Just for ppl to have so they don't have to guess what to choose for their salad without it possibly not being a good concoction of flavors that work together. It's ok, not great. Can't say I'm impressed of the concept. But all their ingredients seem to be fresh and they have a lot of choose from. We were at a conference (of which Salata was aware), and didn't have a lot of time for lunch. We ordered online at 10:30 for pickup at 12:30. We arrived at 12:40 to pickup our food. They did not check their online orders and there were about 40 orders that hadn't been fulfilled. They continued waiting on the people on the physical line and only one person was working the orders that were placed online hours before. After waiting almost an hour, we finally got our food (can we say HANGRY!?). We had to practically run back to the conference center and eat in the session.
