I had such a great experience at CAVA today, and I really wanted to recognize Chris for his kindness and amazing customer service. I had a pretty rough day yesterday, and the way he treated me today was such a small but genuinely meaningful bright spot. He was incredibly kind, welcoming, and thoughtful, and it honestly made my day more than he probably realized. Great customer service is one thing, but making someone feel genuinely cared for is another. I really appreciated the experience and wanted to make sure his kindness didn't go unnoticed. The curbside pick up is a joke. I placed a curbside pick for 7:30. Once I arrived I call the locations number to let them know I was outside no one ever came out. Cava has fell off the food isn't much to rave about. If you've never tried them before I'm jealous. read more

I recommend! The service was friendly and inviting! The service was prompt and attentive, I enjoyed the ambiance which was clean and options of indoor and outdoor spaces. I enjoyed my chicken and rice bowl I was able to add a few extras that I enjoyed. I had a side order of pita chips were good a bit too salted for my liking but were tasty. Came to CAVA for the first time ever yesterday. What surprised me first is that their menu boards were printed soooo tiny that it wasn't until it was my turn in line that I was even able to read what their offerings were. And with a growing line of people behind me, I felt pressured to make a quick, game time decision. I opted for a BYO bowl but was disappointed that they were out of things I really wanted to get like the black lentils and grilled steak. Which I thought was odd for 7PM on a Tuesday. The cashiers were nice enough to give me a sample of their braised lamb which was everything I wanted: tender, a little salty, downright sinful. I also opted to get their seasonal beverage: the Pineapple-Apple beverage and it was freaking delicious. Sweet without being too sweet, just the way I like it. All-n-all, I enjoyed my meal, but with so many competitors like Yafo, Ilios, Zoe's, Sabor, Chipotle, I'm not so sure that CAVA is unique enough to keep me coming back more often without an incentive. The onions tastes like high fructose corn syrup ... come on, WHY?! Tonight, they were out of 5 ingredients (two of which were falafel in the falafel crunch and garlicky shawarma sauce for the garlicky chicken shawarma). The last 3 times I've been to this location (South Blvd), they have been out of something. One night in July an employee said "you're just in time, we were about to close." The closing time posted on the front door indicated they would be open for another hour and a half. Employee response: "well those were summer hours." Look, I love CAVA. I really do. But whatever happened with my order today? Absolute chaos. We paid $35 for what basically amounted to a sad bowl of vibes and disappointment. They literally missed the following from or order: pita, avocado, AND rice. Like... the foundational elements of our meal. That's not "missing an item," that's "we gave up halfway through." Imagine ordering a burrito and getting handed just the foil. That's how this felt. What we ended up with was a bunch of toppings floating around with no base, no carbs, no flavor carrier... just sadness in a container. For $35. Wild. To make matters worse, we also waited 2 hours for this lmao. Last time I order online from this store. Do better, CAVA. Please. Hold your employees accountable. read more

Too many items missing off the line for 8pm on a Tuesday. They were out of grilled chicken, romaine, corn, olives, avocados, feta, cucumber/tomato, pita bread. That's literally my order. I should have just left and chalked up the L. In the end I received an underwhelming bowl which isn't a total surprise given this locations reputation. But the real kicker was that I was up charged for the chicken they did have. I like Cava but for $15 it's easy to find much better consistent options. read more

When we arrived to our 1:30pm pickup time for two bowls, a man working the Order Ahead station asked us "what was the name for your order?" When we responded, he then laughed out loud and said "you're 10-15 minutes early." He proceeded to repeat himself and laughed again. He began muttering things to himself and was clearly disgruntled that we arrived at 1:19pm. My wife and I had no problem with the food not being ready yet and were prepared to hang out while the food was finished. Unfortunately, this guy's attitude and the way he spoked to us was discouraging and uninviting. Food was correct and he did make it for us right away. I don't think that there's room for attitude in QSR. Too many competitors who will treat you with respect. read more

I will not be returning to this Cava location. I ordered a bowl and asked for mixed vegetables, but there was only about a spoonful left and what remained was burnt. I politely asked the young lady if there were any fresh vegetables available or if they had more in the back. She turned and asked the cook/manager, and he was extremely rude. He rolled his eyes and said it would take 67 minutes to make more vegetables because he had two other things to do, then walked away. I decided to leave and go somewhere else. I don't expect to be treated that way when I'm spending my money. read more

This is the second order I have had from this cava location that had multiple missing items. I called the store and reached a manager (a hispanic woman), I tried to explain what went on with my order and what was missing but the manager was instead dismissive of what I was saying and was not very helpful at all. Instead I felt even worse than when I called. I told her I just received the order and she said the order was placed two hours ago. I asked her if the order was placed at 4:47 how can you expect a delivery at the same time. I told her that I received the order at 6:13 and called 6:25pm. I have attached the receipt of when my order was ordered and when it was delivered. Then she tried to blame it on the driver eventhough the bag was sealed. I'm incredibly upset with this interaction and this is the worst customer service I've ever had in my entire life. I 'm also incredibly upset and frustrated in regards to my order being incorrect and my items being missing. read more

All 3 refused to address a single customer over a 40 minute time period midday. 3 people walked out after the staff member wouldn't acknowledge them. Numerous people tried to get their the staff's attention but they just ignored attempts. Myself and 4 others waited an entire 27 minutes before we were acknowledged. I waited an entire 34 minutes to get my takeout order that was placed 1.5 hours prior. This is at 2:30pm on a Sunday. This was a horrendous display of customer service and it's clear this staff shouldn't be employed at this location. I wish there was an option for 0 stars. read more

What a wonderful restaurant! Like most places in South End, CAVA was well decorated with a modern rustic theme. A free parking deck is connected to the store and makes it a very convenient on the go stop! I've been to YAFO in Charlotte multiple times, so I was curious as to whether CAVA would be able to compare, and it did! They had a wide selection of items to choose from, and one thing I appreciated about CAVA was their generosity in portions, everything from the meat (i.e. chicken) to the pickled onions and sides. All the food was fresh and the spread was just enough to satisfy people's needs but not too much as to overwhelm people with options. I thoroughly enjoyed my bowl with grains, chicken, pickled onions, red cabbage, and tomato/cucumber salad. Their green cilantro sauce was also great! Overall, very worth the $11! read more

We are regulars at Cava just not at this location. I'm glad we decided to eat at this Cava because we got a chance to meet Lamont. Lamont is the store manager and makes you feel welcome. We asked some questions about new items Cava had and he gave us details on all we asked about AND offered to let us try each item we asked about. I highly recommend this location and ask for Lamont, you won't regret it. All the other staff were great also. I did witness there interaction with other customers. The only reason I didn't highlight them is because we were served by Mr. Lamont. read more

If you are looking for a place to get food from on your lunch break DO NOT go to CAVA in Southend Charlotte. I placed an order for pickup at 11:59am online for a 12:15 "promised" pickup time. Upon my arrival I was greeted by an establishment absolutely filthy. Napkins and food on the tables and floors, the kitchen behind the counter had food containers on the floor, and the staff was in absolute shambles. I stepped up to the counter to get my food because 12:15 had rolled around. However there were already about 10 people waiting for their food. To make this long story a little shorter, I stood there for about 50 minutes. The staff the entire time had no sense of urgency and repeatedly looked at us customers to the side and shrugged at us. Both employees on the expo Paola and Emani had no idea what was going on and I don't even think the one handing out orders spoke English. As we asked her to help estimate the time it would take for food to come out another staff member came over and said "she probably won't be able to understand you". If your employee can't even communicate with customers why does she have one of the highest volume customer facing jobs there? On top of this customers were trying to communicate with the manager to get estimates for time, and to express how they have been waiting for over 30-45 min to which they had no additional info or things to share. Conveniently none of the managers during my time there were wearing name badges. After nearly an hour from when I placed my order I finally got my food at 1:05pm. I looked at the receipt and it was printed at 12:58 on the EXPO station, mind you not even made yet. Where below it, it literally says "promised time" 12:15pm. If you want somewhere that has far below average customer service, a low sense of urgency, and likes to give their customers false promises then come check out this Cava location. If not then do yourself a favor and don't eat here. I will gladly be taking my business elsewhere. (To add. Customers complained about this issue 4 months ago and it's only gotten worse. It's like chipotle but for Mediterranean food so you can design your own bowl and I love the options. Ordered delivery last week from this location and was very happy with the food! I ordered a build your own bowl with romaine and grains. Got a few toppings and doubled them (it said I had 10 options) and wasn't disappointed! Great flavors and highly recommend the feta spread for your bowl, or was the best part by far! The greek dressing was a perfect choice for my greek style bowl and toppings, but I would recommend asking for the dressing on the side. It was a bit much since it was two portions mixed in (again it said I had 2 choices!) I ordered a side of tzatziki as well to avoid paying a small order fee from the delivery app and was very happy with this choice! It came in about a 4oz ramekin and I dipped some crackers I had already into it the next day as a snack. I will definitely be exploring more options and ordering again!
