Great restaurant! Everything seemed very fresh and I love the idea behind the restaurant. The steak bowl was my favorite - you have to get the Mac n cheese. The service was good - staff was kind. We did get the wrong item 2 times but they were quick to fix it. Cute interior - nice for a good lunch with friends!!

My first time at the Ballantyne location and loved the vibe!! It was fully packed by the time I exited from my brunch on a Thursday. Good portion for a lunch - I really enjoyed my chicken noodles. Looking forward to be back to try new items.

Amazing 10/10 food. I love this chain and this location is clean and everyone is so nice. Had the weather been nicer, I would have sat outside on their outside patio!

I visited Flower Child with my friend during the week, I have passed this establishment on the weekends and it looks so busy but during the week I was able to find a table with no issues. It's a fast casual place where you order at the counter then choose a table where they will bring your meal to you. The menu is large with items that catered to a wide array of dietary restrictions. I ordered the shrimp with mac and cheese and broccoli. While it was good, I wasn't impressed. The meal was something I could make at home quite easily. Also the mac and cheese tasted more like buttered noodles than a cheesy dish that I was expecting. Overall, if you need a place which caters to different dietary restrictions then I would recommend visiting if not, I would recommend finding another restaurant. Being in Southend, there are so many other delicious restaurants I would recommend over Flower Child

Delicious. So many options for those with dietary restrictions. Amazing store and patio in the heart of south end.

If you're looking for healthy options for lunch, dinner or just a snack, this is a great place to start. I ordered today for an office lunch meeting and everyone was happy and very excited about their dishes. We had an array of salads, noodles, wraps and entrees plus tasty sides. My favorite today was the Green Chile Queso with chips. The queso is made of chickpea chorizo, white cheddar and yellow corn chips. It has TONS of flavor. It's creamy and a nice kick of heat in every drop. It melts over the chips and the flavor is consistent. I didn't take pics of everyone else's dish but I got a nice video of mine. Come try for yourself. Thank me later!

Always a great place to eat! They are celiac friendly. The ambience is fun and they have a great outdoor porch as well.

My go to is their steak, mac and cheese and roasted broccoli! It is so good! Always cooked perfectly and their locations here and at The Bowl are so fresh and bright - love eating there! I was also impressed with the staff for this particular lunch pick up. Very helpful and accommodating!

This place never disappoints me. I am always lookout for vegan restaurants and this always has something. This time I ordered Forbidden Rice Bowl, Black bean falafel wrap and vegan chocolate pudding. Everything hits the good nerve. Just a tiny request to the owner, please add some more vegan options so I can try another wrap

First tried Flower Child in Phoenix and fell in love with it. We were so excited to see that they have a location in Charlotte now. It's the perfect spot for a healthy meal, there's options and flavors for everyone. I love the gluten free mac and cheese, so I had to order that. I tried the king pow cauliflower for the first time and it was amazing. The salmon was prepared well, but it wasn't the most amazing quality- I'd probably go with chicken next time. The ambiance is really cute. Very spacious and colorful. Can't wait to go back, and I really hope we get a Flower Child in durham!

These tacos used to be under $5, but now at $5.50 each, this is still a budget friendly meal. I ordered two tacos and was full, but maybe could have had a third since they were so good. Since I can't handle too much spice I got the spicy seasoning on the side to sprinkle on the 'Nashville Hot Tofu" as needed. The fried paneer is mild. Both tasty vegetarian taco options. There was a velvet cake that looked great but also 1025 calories for a slice! Decided not to get that this time. Staff is friendly and I like that they announce your name and say 'It's taco time" when the order is ready. Plenty of indoor/outdoor seating with high top tables too. They had tacos and margaritas, so I figured I'd give it a try. It's café-style, which isn't my favorite setup, but I must say the staff was wonderful--friendly and helpful with ordering. Well, yes if you don't mind! It was so nice to enjoy the fall weather, people-watch, and eat my tacos. I loved the shrimp taco, but the salmon one was a little spicy for me. The salmon itself was delicious though. The queso was yummy. I did stay away from the cake, but it was tempting to try. It was fun listening to them call customers' names to pick up their orders, but someone also came out to check on tables and make sure everyone was okay. He addressed me by name--the same guy who took my order and walked my food out--then later checked on me again. Great place!

The worst outcome is the soup is compleyely lost as it splashes all over you and hits the ground. I got lucky and only a small amount of soup got on me and the rest wasn't lost. Lucky in one sense and not another. The soup container had a cracked lip, the lid was pressed on it poorly and together these caused soup to leak from the container and weaken the paper bag. Freshii could use plastic bags and avoid this. The staff could also not used a cracked container and probably have avoided this. I wasn't happy scrambling to catch soup as it broke through the bag. I was angry when I had time to examine the container and figure out what exactly had happened. I have pictures and will upload them. As for the food, it was alright. Not good, but barely ok. I really wanted soup so I got soup. I can only advise you there are better soup places for the same price or less. More service problems: you can try and call in an order but I am yet to have anyone answer. The app for iOS doesn't work like it should. I would only ever consider eating here if it is convenient and you double check your containers before leaving.

The first time was in November 2025 and 2nd time March 2026 where the bartenders were professional, welcoming, knowledgeable, and made some of the best Bloody Marys we've had in Charlotte. The food was excellent, and we left both times excited to come back. Unfortunately, this Sunday's visit (around 2 p.m.) felt like a different restaurant. It was much busier, and service was noticeably lacking. We waited quite a while just to be acknowledged, our drinks weren't nearly the quality they had been before, and the Bloody Mary tasted like it came straight from a mix instead of being handcrafted like our previous visits. The food was also disappointing. It was much saltier than we remembered, and we never received the Caesar salad with steak we ordered. To the staff's credit, it wasn't on our bill, so we didn't mention it. Overall, no one was rude, but the attention to detail, professionalism, and overall experience that earned our previous five-star reviews just wasn't there this time. They have cornhole and ping pong and just a fun atmosphere out there. Our server was warm and attentive. We did not have to wait for refills and she was quick to answer any questions we had. We started with a few apps - the chips and onion dip and the pigs in a blanket. The chips were well salted and the onion dip was DELISH!!! The pigs were wrapped in homemade party dough and came with a honey mustard crème fraiche. They were so good!! For entrees we tried the fried chicken, prime rib dip, and the meatloaf. The chicken was crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and perfectly seasoned. The mashed potatoes were so good too. The only misstep on this dish was the biscuit. Way too dense and not very flavorful. The prime rib dip was tender and came on the most crispy bread. What a great combo! The only thing that wasn't great were the fries, just nothing too special. The meatloaf dish was flavorful and came with those yummy mashed potatoes so great pairing. We didn't have room for dresser on site but we did take the monkey bread to go and enjoyed it later. Good portion size and full of apple and caramel flavor. Did not regret taking that home!! Really looking forward to this spot opening closer to home. Highly recommended
