After exactly 40 minutes, I finally asked about the status, especially after watching another couple come in after us, order, and leave with their food before we received ours. I understand that takeout and delivery orders are part of the business, but in-house customers should not be completely overlooked. There was no communication, no sense of urgency, and no effort to acknowledge the delay. It genuinely felt like we didn't matter as customers. And for what? Two sandwiches--a roast beef and a turkey. Having worked in restaurants myself, I can confidently say that should not take 40 minutes under normal circumstances. I don't enjoy writing negative reviews, but this experience was frustrating enough to warrant one. We will not be returning. Save yourself the time and look elsewhere.

The eggplant parmigiana turned out to be nothing special, I'm not sure why people raved about it. Just an inch or two of thin sliced eggplant, breaded, cheesed and red sauced. With that last sentence as your recipe, you could make the same thing at home. We also threw in a medium buffalo chicken pizza, which was really good, but didn't have the same amazing texture the first pizza did. I had high expectations for this place, so if it seems like I'm complaining, it's definitely better than your average pizzeria. I'm sticking with five stars because the pepperoni pizza we got was absolutely perfect. We've been working our way through pizza places in Syracuse for years and this one stands out hard.
